      It's the way he shot it. Tarintino gave Cheech only close up's and himself mostly mediums with Cheech giving nothing but extremely subtle movements effectively upstaging himself as an actor but telling the whole story better as a director.

      the two guys are supposed to be representatives of other groups. when they show up, they say who they are and pass over cards from their groups. • @ScienceFoundation
      @ScienceFoundation 3 роки тому +21

      @@stuckgrenadepin.225 There are mass produced suppressable revolvers. The only one that immediately comes to mind is the Nagant revolver which has a cylinder that lurches forward to close the air gap between the cylinder and the forcing cone. I'm sure there are others, and it wouldn't actually take that much engineering.

    • @stuckgrenadepin.225
      @stuckgrenadepin.225 3 роки тому +3

      @@ScienceFoundation I know about the nagant, but that is not really a feasible revolver though. It requires proprietary ammo and the design is old. To produce it to modern standards would make it unsellable to the mass market. It would be a collector’s piece. I’m talking about mass production that the everyday person can afford.

    • @stuckgrenadepin.225
      @stuckgrenadepin.225 3 роки тому +2

      @@ScienceFoundation they could, but like any other decent revolver, the cost would be high. Higher than most people would be willing to pay. Part of the reason revolvers aren’t popular anymore is due to cost of manufacturing them. Add in the moving parts necessary to make a nagant type revolver to modern standards and you will be around the same price point as a korth since many revolvers are hand fitted and not mass machined like glocks.

    • @stuckgrenadepin.225
      @stuckgrenadepin.225 3 роки тому +1

      @@ScienceFoundation yeah, but the QC on those is hit or miss. I’m talking American made. A ruger super Blackhawk already runs near $1000. Add in moving parts beefy enough to stand up to .44mag and the buildup of carbon from being suppressed and still function and you are looking at you are looking at a substantial difference in price.

      @@antonkirilenko3116 yep, genius operating mechanism but not practical what so ever. Cylinder cams forward to insert the tip of the cartridge case into the forcing cone of the barrel providing a air tight seal so no chamber blast. But it was designed around a cartridge that has the same muzzle energy as a .22 LR and the trigger pull was terrible because of the extra operating work it was having to do. The revolver Cheech had was a S&W Model 19, which is not designed like that, and being a .357 Mag it has WAY more energy than the Nagant revolver, more muzzle blast, and would not be able to be suppressed effectively, especially not as quiet as in the film. One of the few firearms that is Hollywood mouse fart quiet is a bolt action .22 LR with subsonics and a good suppressor, preferably ran wet with a solvent behind the first and second baffle.
