Thank you Father for doing this video! Even the great Archbishop Vigano is calling for a return to the pre1955 Missal. None of us should want to use a missal (1962) that was destroyed by a Freemason. These prayers are too important as you clearly pointed out!

Speaking of Post-55 omissions, it is surely no coincidence that all starts falling apart exteriorly in the Church when the "A Cunctis" was suddenly no longer prayed at most Masses. (And imagine the effect if thousands of priests started praying such a beautiful prayer for the good state of the Church in their daily Masses again.) Pre-55 is about way more than just Holy Week!

Absolutely! There can be few things on earth which carry so much gain for so mild an effort as praying all the properly prescribed orations.

Why do you all not acknowledge the
"NEW experimental Easter Vigil" in 1951.
Not fasting after midnight for Holy Communion post 1957 is another reason for global apostasy & chaos. The schismatics still fast properly. Bishop Robert Dymek (RIP) prayed for the Holy Roman Emporer every good Friday.

    • @ScriptureandTraditionFrJM
      @ScriptureandTraditionFrJM  2 роки тому +5

The 1951 experiment is an important stage in the decline. I reference it clearly in the first video in the series on Preparation for Easter (from 1:35 here: ua-cam.com/video/P40M2df18S8/v-deo.html).
But it would be exceedingly tiresome to mention 1951 and 1955 every single time together. As the 55 (for 56) changes were more destructive and forced out on a much wider scale, then like many others, I reference the pre-55. Most who look into it find that "pre-55" is a convenient reference for the sake of communication, but they are aware, as you rightly say, that the assault began earlier. It is like calling oneself a "traditional Catholic". It is true that there is no other kind of Catholic, so it sounds redundant. But we are in a messy world, so it helps for clarity / communication.
What a grace for the whole world it would be to have an HRE back on the throne. I think the Good Friday prayer is key to bringing that about. God bless.

    • @E.C.2
      @E.C.2 2 роки тому +1

@@ScriptureandTraditionFrJM We need to start saying pre-51,it's more truthful honest and points to how far back the destruction from within began. God bless thank you for responding.

    • @ScriptureandTraditionFrJM
      @ScriptureandTraditionFrJM  2 роки тому

Maybe it would help to switch terms. But I think the 51 changes were 'optional', so even though they were awful and should never have been attempted, they were not forced onto the faithful (although who knew then what insanity was coming?). But in 55 the order was given from Rome that the new Triduum and Pentecost must be adopted worldwide in the Latin Church for Easter 1956. And this is why the 55 document, Maxima Redemptionis Nostrae Mysteria, is like the beginning of a death roll.
I am happy to be corrected if I have got any of those details wrong.

Has any Catholic here read this? AA-1025 The Memoirs of An Anti-Apostle, by Marie Carré. This was written in the 1940's by a so-called Catholic priest who boasted on how he helped to destroy the liturgy and tradition of the Catholic Church and reduce them to what they are today. Here is an excerpt from pages 60-61.
I prophesied with assurance-so that this would
be repeated in the same tones -- the suppression
of Latin, of priestly vestments, of statues and images,
of candles and prie-dieu (so that they could kneel
    no more).
And I also started a very active campaign for
the suppression of the Sign of the Cross. This Sign
is practised only in Roman and Greek Churches.
It is time that the latter take notice that they offend
other people, who have as many qualities and as
much holiness as they have. This Sign, and also
    genuflections, are all ridiculous customs.
I also prophesied (and we were then in 1940)
the disappearance of altars, replaced by a completely
bare table, and also of all the crucifixes, in order
that Christ be considered as a man, not as a God.
I insisted that Mass be only a community meal,
to which all would be invited, even unbelievers. And
I came to the following prophecy: Baptism for the
modern man has become ridiculously magical.
Whether given by immersion or not, Baptism must
be abandoned in favor of an adult religion.
I searched for the means of suppressing the
Pope, but I could not find the possibility of doing so.
As long as we would not say that the play on
words of Christ, "Thou art Peter, and upon this
rock I will build My Church, and the gates of Hell
shall not prevail against it,n was invented by a zealous
Roman (but how can we prove that-it is not
enough that this were possible), a Pope would always
    be in power....
The universal Church, having to accept all religious
and even the unbelieving philosophers, it was
urgent that Christian churches should give up their
own proprieties. So I asked them to perform an
    immense cleaning out.
All that excited heart and mind to worship an
invisible God must be unmercifully suppressed...
A thoughtful mind would have noticed that I
was suppressing all that is lovable in a religion which
is, on the other hand, quite strict.
To leave them severity was a nice enough trick.
I would secretly insinuate that this cruel God might,
after all, be a human invention-a God cruel enough
to send His only Son to be crucified!!! But I had
to be careful that my hatred did not appear in my
    writings.

Thank you Fr Mawdsley for your frank and detailed assessment which is worthy of reflection and contemplation.
In truth, it is probably well above the level of my own, very modest, level of comprehension, but God compensated us more lowly members of the Church in other, simpler ways.
I have witnesses other, equally harsh criticisms of our dearly departed, beloved Pope St Paul VI and found them equally lamentable as your raw criticism here.
Im no expert on the papacy or this Sainted Pope, but I did have the great privilege of living through his papacy and witnessing what a great Pontiff he was.
What I do know about him is that he gave his whole life to Christ, he had a great mind, was very humble and was not a career cleric.
It is said that the door of the college of Cardinals was open to him for nineteen years before he was finally prevailed upon to enter. He was very much a reluctant pope, but offered himself up in the service of Jesus Christ, his God and Saviour.
He was left to take over the reins of a project which had been already started many years before (Vatican II), a task so monumental and fraught with dangers, it was probably beyond anybody’s comprehension.
In addition, he was in open combat with the Freemasonry which was/is rampant within our Church to the point of having to openly declare “the smoke of Satan had entered the Vatican.
What torment he must have been suffering to bring him to this point.
It is worth remembering that Abp Lefevere voted in favour of Vatican II by the way, even though his departure followed soon afterwards.
The diabolical ‘catch 22’ with which he was presented by the scheming bishops of the diocese in various parts of France, Belgium, Holland and Germany caused him particular anguish.
He was left in the position of having to allow Holy Communion in the hand, or oversee a schism.
Herein lay Satan’s great victory and resultant mess we find ourselves today.
So yes, he made some mistakes and errors, but you will never convince me that he was anything than a truly saintly, devout pope who gave everything he had in the service of God and who is most assuredly deserving of his Saintly status which he now enjoys.
Mistakes and errors of the human variety are not sins, and will most likely be corrected by Our Saviour in the fullness of time.
@All things will be well! All manner of things will be well”. Julienne of Norwich
Pope St Paul VI, pray for us
    God bless

Simple answer: Return and adhere strictly to the infallibly defined dogmas of the Church on salvation. "Let your yes be yes, and your no be no. what is more than this cometh from the evil one." -Our Lord. There is no salvation and remission of sins outside the Catholic Church and no entry into her except through confession of the integral Catholic Faith, including the above dogmas, and the valid reception of the Sacrament of Baptism.

I don't think I'll ever get a website. This channel is for a fairly specific goal (that together we may slay the dragon which is trying to prevent the Church from inheriting and living and loving and passing on Scripture & Tradition... I have a specific dragon in mind: it is not a man or a demon, which would be too difficult or dangerous for me, or not my job. Rather the dragon is a big, dangerous false idea). When, if God wills, this is done, hope I can go back to a regular apostolate somewhere, and that many are freed from this paralysis in the Church.

Well, first of all it is good to say a prayer or several for his deceased mother, Queen Elisabeth. Although an Anglican, and although she unnecessarily signed many wicked parliamentary acts into law, our prayers may help move God to work untold mercies. And that He chose 8 Sep, the birthday of the Queen of Heaven, to call her soul to judgement, then let us hope it is a slight sign He wishes the queen to meet the Queen in Heaven!
As for King Charles, he is an Anglican too. "Defender of the Faith" does not mean much since Henry VIII departed from the Church. The Anglicans profess to believe whatever they like. An extra "s" makes that even more clear. So we can pray for him too, and the conversion of England.

Maybe in the near term I can at least make a video list of book recommendations for souls at different stages: for those coming into the faith; for those practising who wish to go deeper; for those totally smitten by God. I'll try.
But perhaps I should add: I am suspended. So I am not attempting to set up an apostolate and do the general catechising that priests should do. Rather, I have a very specific goal in addressing a major problem in the Church. Powerful elements in the hierarchy are trying to prevent priests from carrying out the mission which Jesus gave to the Church. They are using the law of the Church as a weapon to oppress, and they rely on a lie about the virtue of obedience to paralyse pastors from defending the flock. There is a reason why they are doing this, and it can be overcome. That's what I hope to address over the coming year or so, if God allows it.
May God grant all Catholics freedom from faithless prelates so that we may worship God fully, know Him truly, be like to Him in charity. (In fact He will definitely grant us this freedom -- He is just waiting for us to stand up and take it.)

My best friend, Molly, has left for this situation and she doesn't even know that she is a Protestant-she thinks she is above all labels of Catholic or Protestant, because she is a Christian. She doesn't see that "non-denominational" is just another denomination. She thinks all that matters is "loving Jesus, reading the Bible and having a fun church with cool music and nice peope. That's all it is. How do you tell someone like this that they have left Jesus for a cracker, while still being charitable and witout having to ask them to read a mountain of books, in order to grasp the crisis in the Church. She doesn't even pray for her good parents, who died in the Covid years without the Sacraments or Requiem because her new church tells her that everyone who believes goes straight to heaven 😭

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭8‬ ‭‬‬
It is evident, to those who seek with a prodigal sons eyes, that the current trajectory of the Church has veered astray from its intended path. The call for discernment resounds, urging us to carefully consider the ways in which the Church's direction may require reevaluation, realignment, and renewal.
Scripture reminds us in Jeremiah 6:16: "Thus says the Lord: Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way lies; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls." This verse beckons us to seek the ancient paths, the timeless truths and principles that have guided the Church throughout history. By doing so, we can find solace and rejuvenation for our weary souls.
Moreover, in Matthew 7:15-16, Jesus warns us to be cautious of false prophets who come in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. These words serve as a reminder to exercise discernment and wisdom in assessing the direction of the Church, distinguishing between genuine spiritual leadership and potential deviations from the truth.
While acknowledging the struggles and concerns that may arise, it is vital to approach these matters with grace, humility, and a spirit of constructive dialogue. Engaging in open and respectful conversations, grounded in love for Christ and His Church, can contribute to the collective effort of discerning the most faithful path forward.
May we, as prodigal sons and daughters of the Church, be guided by the wisdom of Scripture, the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and an unwavering commitment to the truth. In seeking alignment with God's will, may we participate in the ongoing renewal and restoration of His Church, ensuring that its direction remains firmly rooted in the unchanging teachings of Christ.

Dear Father, I've been reading the comments and I didn't know about any of this pre-55 liturgy. I converted in 1983 from Anglicanism via an elderly Marist priest and was confirmed by Archbishop Lefebvre. Lately, I've been rather disappointed with the direction the SSPX has been taking and have been watching videos by Bishop Sanborn and now this video which suddenly popped up. I've always avoided the sedevacantist position and I know that there have been divisions amongst you. What is the Sanbornites' position on the Mass? I live in New Zealand.

Very few people know the name Bergoglio before and after he became "Pope Francis". Just a suggestion, use Francis to educate the gullible Catholics.

Highly reccomend the revelations by Our Lord and Our Lady to Servant of God Luisa Picaretta, Book of Heaven, it is the gift and grace of living in the Divine Will reserved for the church and people of God for these days, when just a few zealous fervent preists offer Holy Mass in the Divine will in this world then things in the heavens will start to change in our favour as the Sons of God appear and offer to the Sacrosanct Trinity with authority creation as Adam was to do before Sin but this time it will be Christ operating through his Preists in the Divine Will, God is so wise and has a plan, we must do our part, Fatima request from Our Lady, Five first Saturdays of Reparation and lets all get in front of the Blessed Sacrament exposed or closed as much as possible to experience heaven on earth and plead for mercy in this Godless world and make reparation to Our Lord while we can. What could be more important, the Rosary and Our Lady of Sorrows Rosary is like an atomic bomb for spiritual warfare and protection. If you know about the flame of love addition to the Rosary given to Elizabeth Kindleman then a daily inclusion in your Rosary will yield much fruit in your life and this world. The Flame of love is Jesus.
    Daily / weekly plan
Confession at least every 2 weeks if you can as this cleans you and sanctifies you inside really quick
Holy mass and Eucharist as many as you can, offer all to Our Lady for crushing the serpent and her Triumph
Adoration, as much as you can
Fasting - food, social media, favourite activities, offer it all up united to The Lords Passion and Our Mothers sorrows
Scripture, also recommend the little office of the Virgin Mary, you can get online readings, demons hate it
    Rosary
Wear the scapular and use sacramentals
Look up the indulgences prayers of the church from Raccolta, offer all to Our Lady, she will use these to save souls and help us
    Flame of love Rosary
Praying and living in the Divine Will- Luisa Picaretta book of Heaven
Love everyone and everything, this is all Will of God now and the battle for souls and our salvation.
Also, research purgatory and the advise of the Saints, your eyes will be opened to how lax everything is gone.
First Thursday and First Friday and of course First Saturdays to catapult into heaven.
    God bless you all.

“…condemnation of…the chosen people who were at once unfaithful and deicide”. Just where is this going? It sounds like it is headed in a direction that was already taken in the 1930s, which my parents fought hard to defeat, and which I will resist until my last breath. Please do not advocate restoring to the Church a teaching that was evil. Not everything ‘traditional’ is good!

If you need more context, the video excerpts in the top left at the end showed a quote from Dom Prosper Guéranger: “This Scourging is by the hands of Gentiles; the Jews delivered him up to be punished, and the Romans were the executioners: thus have we all had our share in the awful deicide.” [Further commentary on this quote in the video which is linked at the end.]
Do you believe that last sentence of Dom Guéranger? That we have "all had our share in the awful deicide". That's true. All of us by our sins are the reason for the sacrifice, the killing, the murder of God, the Son of God. All except the Blessed Virgin Mary who never sinned.
Catholics are ready to admit it. We have to admit it. Be contrite for it. Confess our sins and do penance. But to refuse to recognise it, or for unbelievers to refuse to admit that a perfectly innocent man was most unjustly and cruelly killed, is a problem. The Amici Israel did not see this as a problem, and they were persuaded to lobby the Church to change her liturgy by Jews who did not see this as a problem. And it is disastrous for the Catholic Church to take direction from people who do not see the cruel murder of the most innocent man who ever lived -- before we even speak of His All Holy Divinity -- as a call to every beating heart to sorrow and repentance.
That's where "this is going". If you equate this frame of mind with advocating genocide then you understand absolutely nothing of the Crucifixion, of Him Who prayed for the forgiveness of those who nailed Him to the Cross, and Who, not lifting a finger against anyone, died so that all could be saved, including those like Saul who persecuted Him. The first martyr, St Stephen, shows us that it is better to be stoned to death for witnessing to Christ than to lift a stone to throw in murder. What have any of these got to do with the 1930s? These are our traditions. This is our Faith. And hysterical cancel culture has had its day, so do not insinuate evil where there is none.
      Please excuse my slight anger.

@@ScriptureandTraditionFrJM - I did not object to the restoration of the prayer. I referred only to the quote from the Cardinal. It reeks of hatred for…a certain group ( can’t use specifics on YT). It is exactly the sort of quote that Uncle Arthur Roche would be delighted to see, so that he could use it to justify TC. It is very irresponsible to bring up deicide at all, it is a term with which most Catholics are unfamiliar since the post-war revisions of teaching, and rightly so. Accusing the **** of deicide, as in that quote, is a first step on the road to pogroms. Your point about restoring the prayers does not need this vile quote to back it up!

The truth will set us free. What Cardinal Merry del Val said is so true and important that it should be known. Apart from anything else, it brings much understanding of the limits of papal power and precisely disarms the enemies of the Church or those serving them, including prelates (there were hundreds of bishops and thousands of priests who were members of the Opus sacerdotale Amici Israel -- not that all these were enemies but lost their judgement and perspective because they fell for manipulation) who even today want to abuse that power: I mean cardinals and bishops who act viciously against tradition in the name of Francis, and including Francis.
If we pretend the Church does not have enemies then we will lose.
If we are afraid of them, including cardinals, or of lies, we will lose.
If we are paralysed by dread of being unfairly accused of monstrosities we will lose.
If you have been conditioned to think that Cardinal Merry del Val, or his statements (you are very mistaken to call his words vile), are any instigation for pogroms then you have fallen for the manipulation. There are people who do not want us to hear what he said, they are terrified of us hearing his clarity, and so they will invent monstrous accusations against people who go near it, so that we cower and don't even discuss the historical record or what is sitting in the Church's archives. And if we let them do this to us, we lose.
Pogroms happen when we cannot have free discussions. It is not the discussion, but the suppression of it, that leads to violent outbreaks.
Jesus does not lose. And He does not hold back with the truth. Neither did Cardinal Merry del Val. Neither should we.

NA is deliberately vague so that it means different things to different people. That is not how the Church used to write or teach. It best to keep questions specific.
Talking of which, I asked you above about the quote from Dom Prosper Guéranger: “This Scourging is by the hands of Gentiles; the Jews delivered him up to be punished, and the Romans were the executioners: thus have we all had our share in the awful deicide.”
Do you believe that last sentence of Dom Guéranger? That we have "all had our share in the awful deicide". Do you agree it is charity to recognise this is true? First, charity toward God. And second, to all men, because we all need to face it.
