I love you thoughts on it! When I looked at it the lock seems to be rusted, overgrown, like nature is reclaiming it so it is still nature based. Nature reclaiming a man made object and then nature (the feather) unlocking it.
@@angelicpapillon Maybe the Protect card lock means we can feel safe and a feather to me indicates a spirit world protection, too, even though the lock is definitely earthbound and unlocked and ivy is 'evergreen' and also bonding so we can feel protected on earth with everlasting affection.
The bond card looks like an atom to me, the acorn is the protons and neutrons and the ivy represents the electrons. When these particles are "stuck" together it is considered bonding. An example is water, H2O, which has two hydrogen atoms bonded to one oxygen atom. But that is just my take on it.
Protect: Sometimes to protect someone, you need to tell the truth (intellect, the feather). Truth with set you free, but not sometimes, that is the message from the movie Oldboy, the original movie. The vines might help to keep lock opened or maybe the feather is opening a lock that was tied up with the vines. Vines grow and climb as they are opportunistic plants. Sometimes they can strangle their "host". Here the host is manmade object, a "rock". What covers the rock, moss or algae, can be called the biofilm. Biofilms are a microcosmos with their own balance and ecology. They are particularly important in rivers, as basic food in the food chain from scrapping animals such as fish and water insects. They scrap/ eat the biofilm (algae) so they can be food to other animals. This card can also mean secrets unlocked, like a Lenormand feel to it.
I enjoyed seeing this deck! I see what you mean about the range of different messages, that's very appealing. The wood like look, and the back of the cards are really unique and I love the simplicity of them.
Hey Kelly I love this deck too. I have had for a while and the bond card for me is representing an atom and the acorn is the nucleus. The oak is the tree of life or the tree of Universal knowledge, tree of wisdom. So I connect this card as a positive energy card and the acorn as the atom it is all about size. According to ancient materialism the universe is composed. A positive bond to universal energies. Earthbound. The protect card I see as the chains that we bind ourselves which can be unlocked once with the softness of our forgiveness of self...letting go of the darkness that no longer helps us. The lock is old and full of moss it is decomposing and the the vine is helping to see the new path of growth that now lies ahead. I hope this helps I really connect with this deck. Take Joy ~ Diane This is another great video!
Hi, Kelly!I know this response is way too late ..but I just came across this video...and I wanted to say that for the protection card my interpretation would have been that the soft touch of one soul can unlock our protection barrier...someone's love/kindness can free us from what is keeping us locked. Looks like an awesome deck!I wonder...do you have it still?Do you use it?
I do like that interpretation! I do still have this deck and I do use it, it’s not one I use all the time (I have a lot of decks lol) but it is one that I love to use for clarity and clear messages, it’s a lovely little deck!
Thank you for the reply,Kelly! From videos I've watched I really like this deck and I'm thinking about buying it..it's just with the huge overseas shipping cost I wanted to make sure that it is a deck worth getting and I trust your taste on decks and your advice :)
This is one of my favourite decks. I can almost say this is one of those near perfect - if not perfect - deck. It shuffles beautifully, almost feels like actual wooden cards! The art is just stunning. Thanks for sharing!
:P By the way, if you like a bit of shadow in your oracle deck, check out the Rackham Oracle by Duck Soup created using reproduction of original work by Arthur Rackham. I feel so strongly about this deck that it propelled me to do a rambly video on it :D Makes me feel like such an amateur!!!!
LOL I know about that deck, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I am studiously ignoring it as I've been using the playing card set as an oracle but it's on my "when I win the lottery" list :D
This is a really cool deck! I wasn't drawn to the Wooden Tarot even though I loved the simplistic imagery. This one though, I will definitely get for sure.
Lol the gift card reminded me right away of a schoolmate who would always gift an apple to the teacher..lol..you know cards can even evoke memories..it also reminds me when my grandmother said to her friend i was the rotten apple of the family..that was the saddest day of my life..memories..
Great video on an interesting oracle deck. What I really liked was how "self" and "protect" showed up in the reading--mirroring your idea of having to sit with the "protect" card to get to its meaning for you. I looked at "protect" being above "self" as the deck's way of saying it knew you had that card on your mind. :D
When I saw the permanence card, I had to think about a writer who has to show permanence in order to practice his skills to get better or to get a story finished. The ink spots remember me of that constant effort and a lot of edits maybe. Just some thoughts that came to my mind when I saw this card. :)
It's a beautiful deck. Not particularly dark, but not particularly "happy, happy, joy, joy" either. I feel tempted to get it. Unfortunately, I have riched my spending limit for decks this year and won't be getting anything until January. Hopefully, it'll still be available then. Thanks for the review.
maybe the luck card could be read differently- we call it a "lucky" rabbit foot, but it's not particularly lucky for the rabbit that was killed to provide for our lucky talisman. So what is luck? Is it really cause and effect? Maybe luck has an underlaying "enjoy it now, pay for it later" edge. (I don't like that card either- long term vegetarian and animal rescuer, so I see stuff like that and it triggers me to animals who have actually been abused in that nature...) Thanks for pointing that out- I think I'll keep the card in the deck but when it comes up give it an extra look. You could write a term paper on all the symbolism running through this deck....I wish I loved the Wooden Tarot as much.
loving these decks still on the fence - only due to noticing some of the lines like on your luna card - is that a printing error or card rubbing on the back? Finding your reviews for these very helpful in terms of seeing ways of working with the decks - agree about the luck card.
Protect: Our higher selves are the ones to protect us and allow us to continue to grow? PS: Just saw the bit on the video where you read this card :P The aspect of 'opening' as protection is a good one. Didn't think about that before :) Thanks for that :)
+Jennifer Camara It is gorgeous, the artist has a tarot deck as well, The Wooden Tarot, that I will probably get at some point but I want to work with this one by itself for a bit first! It feels somewhat similar to The Wild Unknown, not in artwork but energetically. It also reminds me of the Wildwood Tarot energetically for some reason!
Could you elaborate more on this spread. I've only seen elemental spreads that were in the positions of north south east and west what yours is not. I really enjoy it and would like to try it myself but could use a few pointers
Great deck, I'd personally would love to see all images put in the graphic boundaries like in elemental cards and travel card, don't know exactly why, but they're super-powerful. And as to wooden background, I think they were painted on wooden boards, that's why background don't repeat, well, I think it's the case. :) OK, and now I'm more then confused, I thought you had Wooden Tarot. o.O That is strange. Like I "remember" your video about it. O.o
+BartolomeJacinto LOL well, you remember someone else's video :D I definitely do not, but it's on my "when I win the lottery" list :D And ahh, that makes sense on the being painted on wooden boards, thank you! I also agree that the "bound" cards are VERY powerful, but if they were all that way, maybe they wouldn't be as powerful?
+The Truth in Story That surely was you, I'm sure you just deleted that video to prank me. LOL And LOL for "when I win the lottery" list. :D If I won the lottery I'd open tarot&oracle shop, kind of my dream for some time. And if that was humongous win, I'd also open a post service to have free shipping of all that decks. LOL Yes, you might be right about those special cards. Kind of power in the difference. Those elemental are fabulous, I wouldn't mind having them framed on my wall.
I have a question..the abundance card..that is a fruit right?if so my grandmother has a tree with this fruit called granade..peep go crazy about this fruit..i dont know why..kinda mystic tree i remember..
Hi, Could you tell me what the card stock is like as in thickness ? is it good for shuffling will the deck hold up well to it ? Thank you and love your videos :)
I am looking for a good light and dark oracle... one for good shadow work..inner child..just deep deep diving..I would appreciate any suggestions! Thank you!
That is such a hard question as I have a hit and miss history with oracle and especially oracle that is light and dark. My current favorite is the Illuminated Earth Oracle because it feels like it steps back from light and shadow and just into the. Major energetic forces that are around us and centers us in the fact that the light and shadow comes more from our reactions to that energy than to the energy itself. Hm I will think on it a bit more for you!
like most non tarot format deck with major or minor keys. This deck is really lacking in the same ways. It doesn't reflect life possibilities, in simpler terms not enough negative cards. My clients come to me when they have problems. They are looking for solutions or advice and to discover the hidden unkowns of a situation. Life isn't happy faced new agey life affirming soul growth all the time. To use this deck for a reading is fortune telling not real divination. We should stop ouuuhhing and aaaahhhing over art and ask ourselves is this deck balanced. Is this deck a useful tool for our craft?
I instantly had a feeling about the "protect" card where the lock is opened with a feather. Gentleness and love unlocks the most harsh hearts.
I love you thoughts on it! When I looked at it the lock seems to be rusted, overgrown, like nature is reclaiming it so it is still nature based. Nature reclaiming a man made object and then nature (the feather) unlocking it.

This is by far the most helpful review of this deck on UA-cam!

Yeahh the purple-blue breath or air coming out of the animal..is cuteee..

+Nobody Here I have to agree, other than the Luck card I love all of the cards! Ahhhh, do you have the Wooden Tarot as well?
Yep :) Highly recommended :D
LOL, thankfully the price will let me just add it to my wish list for now, but I don't doubt at some point it will say NOW :D
:P

+Lindenheart Mmm yes I love that thought about permanence, Lindenheart, thank you!!
I thought about it as a Deck for a full moon reading. So one card for the next month. It gives me all the moon vibes
+SputnikTripulator I believe it hasn't been out all that long so I'm guessing you'll be fine in January! ::crosses fingers:: :D
Look at the beautiful little box of the deck..
I think the turtle card is quite grotesque. The "nests" appeared to be bernacles at first sight.

The back of his tarot deck is a single eye on a wood grain background.
I have this deck, and I freaking LOVE it! The artwork is beautiful, and the messages is so easy to understand. I connected with it straight away :)
+Mette FernSpirit I am 100% in love with it!!!

Love this review and I want this deck so bad!
Are there any other decks out there with a similar feel?
Thanks!

With the protect card my first thought was of letting your guard down or letting someone in too easy.

How would you interpret the balance card? Some cards make sense to me but I'm confused by that one.
When i look at the rock: i see breaking through barriers.
Wow! Check out the Pathfinder Oracle on kickstarter! Already super-funded (:
Hi, Could you tell me what the card stock is like as in thickness ? is it good for shuffling will the deck hold up well to it ? Thank you and love your videos :)
gracias
Wow 2 major arcanas sol and luna both in spanish..i wonder why..
