You are right about the two of feathers, it's not the usual depiction. I do appreciate that they are in the air, the symbolic mind, but it does seem a bit more like a five of swords energy battle rather than two of swords. I can imagine that if this picture were in motion, the owl from above would tackle and they would tumble with one on top, then the other. This perpetual motion could be more of a symbol that we associate with the two of feathers.
I have had Tarot of Fauna for awhile, I did not even know it had a guidebook 😄😄 I see the 2 of swords as a "pause", the body posture of the owl more in the background, has the body language of "do I continue to attack?, defend? or break away from this?". When I have seen attack/defend of birds in the wild, there is always a moment, when it seems time stops for a blink of an eye, where it seems to speak of "do we continue or break away"?. The moment where a decision must be made but unsure which decision should be made. I hope that makes sense, 😄 Of course, it is just how I see it.💗 , (in owl speak not human lol)
I completely agree with this! Especially because both feathers in the card are from the bird in the background it gives the impression that the energy is focused on his decision on what to do next now that this blindsided situation has presented itself!
For that Two of Feathers: I think it works if you see the owl diving down as the "main character". The face is conflicted, they're perfectly situated between two feathers in the air and they have a decision to make. Dodge, or confront the attacking owl. The open talons seem perilously close to it, but they're aiming for it's body, not the wings. With the speed and dexterity owls can maneuver, though the owl is stressed and upset, it still has enough time to focus and decide which path is best for it if it just takes a breath. The stalemate/indecisiveness is internal. I do agree it's a lot too active and aggressive overall though.
Too funny Lisa I too just pulled the Shadowscapes tarot back out on Sunday. I had previously cut the borders off in hopes to make the pictures pop more, but still struggled with how small they were. Yesterday I edged it in hopes of giving it another chance.
Supportive Tarot agreed she REALLY should consider putting out another edition larger. I feel it was be a success as so many people love this deck, but the one constant complaint is size of images..
I work with a deck and oracle a month this month is the Everyday Witch Tarot and Oracle. I didn't think I was going to like it and end up rehoming it but I fell in love with it next month is Tarot de la Nuit (I hope I spelled that right) and the Halloween Oracle.
I dont have thid deck, but i truly want it and i think i will order it very soon as a early christmas gift for myself 🤶🏻 iresonate with it alot exactly cuz of the emotional and psychological spectrum of the deck.. i have focusing a lot on nature and animal symbolism so it gives me a lot to go from.. in my opinion the two of swords are the battle between youre higher self/cosmic self and the human/maybe even animal in you. Between you and your shadow. Where one always try to win over the other somehow and that you need to validate, integrate and balance out the both so you can work together and use your wisdom as both human from experience and as a divine higher being. If that makes sense, in that way you hav the ability to overcome everything and maybe even reach the enlightenment. I just realized this deck is not as cute as it looks. It is actually insanely deep.

If the 2 owls are equal in strength, it may look like a great flurry but it is a stalemate at the same time? Two sides, each represented by a bird, rather than the outside appearance of their conflict... You'd ask 'which part of you has the upper hand right now?' because i feel like that a lot of the time, lol😉there's literally always 2 inside me rolling around on the floor biting and scratching, and i'm trying to make peace here damm&€(##@%✌️it😕. #thirdeyeperspective (just made it up!)

I lovvvvve the variety! :D I rotate them weekly for most of them, some I pull for specific types of readings or intuitively based on what I feel is best suited to a particular client or for myself.... and sometimes I just really love looking at the art! :)
I’m been using the Dreams of Gaia Pocket Edition for a month just as a card a day oracle. I’m struggling to connect with many images & what it’s communicating. I feel the point form of little guidebook let’s is down in some way. I’ve had more misses than hits with deck. It just feels too superficial pretty with no hidden substance. Maybe it needs the wordy guide book to get me there.
I can't see how I would or could work with Dreams of Gaia without the detailed guidebook - especially without even titles on the images. I feel like they should have re-issued the full size with the full size guidebook but in that beautiful cardstock. :D Too much to ask?

I really enjoy seeing your take on decks and how you approach them, it give me a more clear picture as to how I could better approach my own decks. For the two of feathers I get a sense of needing to make a decision. The owl on top isn't hesitant in their action and you have a choice of if you're going to engage with it or not. But it also makes me ask the question of if it's right to engage. Is the owl on the bottom being attacked, or is it trespassing on the other's territory? It's very much the feeling that a decision needs to be made but you should get the bigger picture first.

2 of Swords is an analysis and logic card for me and the owls trying to figure out what is the best way to evade in mid-air makes some sense for me.
It never even occurred to me that it was a near-collision moment. I thought owl was attacking the other!

The cards do feel so straightforward, and the keywords are simple/direct! :) I think it's an easy read for sure!
