The joys of the power flaking. I live at a literal end of the grid, deal with this all the time. Now that is a perfectly lovely bowl, if you hadn’t pointed out those little blemishes and eccentricities, I don’t think I would have noticed them. The gold added to the color scheme quite well, giving extra luster to the reds and bringing up the wood colors.

I think those colors are very fitting for maple. From one angle in the final show, it seemed to have a hint of a red maple leaf shape in it. Maybe just the suggestion of the color and maple, but they go well. Looking forward to your next video!

I love how the colors look like they draped themselves organically over the bowl and swirled together there. The gold is a good addition- it both blends with the wood and makes the teal and red look a little glowy. Nicely done!

Hi Doug, watching what you are doing there I can see that you are when needed pulling back and slowing the cut down. I know from experience that it can get away from you especially on the edges, the last few mil and have the cuts on my wrist to prove it. Bowl as good as ever🙂

Hey Doug. Your chanel is one of my fav to watch. This bowl turned out great. Next time you go to cut in the mortise, go about a 1in deeper, then fillin with clear resin. then you will end up with a window on the inside so you can your logo. yes it will be backwards but you could put in upsid down lol. well keep up the great work and NEVER change who you are. The town I live in part of the town is out of power and other side has power lucky for me I live on the side that has power. I didn't seen any major damage around me some area nearby had pretty good tree branches come down. Definitely a nice bowl. To me on some art stuff little imperfections what make art piece unique.
