One of the few chances to catch a black artist on Live Aid. Thorogoid did a great job getting those guys up there. Real rock and roll amongst all the shoulder pads and mullets.
George is the baddest-assed performer I have ever seen on stage. He blew away queen in Live Aid...my opinion. I saw George 7 times now and he can still get sounds fron a guitar like none other out there. He is the best.
Never seen this before... absolutely stunning! George is the real deal, saw him a couple of weeks back at the Shepherd's Bush Empire & he put on a fantastic show. The Destroyers have added a second guitar since I last saw them & he is one bad ass player too!
George is a slide guitar extraordinaire and entertainer. Just look at his face when he is playing The Sky is Crying. And look at his hand work. Now you can see why he is a favorite of many, including mine.
@@alimarnic27 George covers the 1950's style of blues from many famous black artists of the Mississippi Delta area. He had personal friendships with Bo Diddley and John Lee Hooker. They both appreciated his style, his imitating THEM, and his sounds. Let me put you into a corner like your kind likes to do to anybody who disagrees with you: Are you a racist?
@@operationoverloard sure aren’t, hey I give old George credit, he carved out a multi million dollar career for himself. He’s a better magician than David Copperfield.
@@alimarnic27 if you recall our string of texts, I asked you two questions previously but you can't answer them. You only jump to your own defense about claiming to not be a racist. Then you continue with mockery attacking the subject (of Thorogood) by comparing him to being David Copperfield-esque in a sarcastic manner. The only question you can answer followed by mockery is that you're not a racist. This tells me a lot about you. It's not good. Im going to stop here with being kind. If there's going to be any further abuse, it's going to be on you... as it always has been.
¡Gran documento! ¡Gracias por compartirlo! Y el gran respeto con el que George presenta a Bo Diddley es de absoluto respeto y admiración. ¡Bravos! ¡Tremenda versión de The Sky is Crying!
[They don't make them like George anymore. Say what you will about his skill as a musician; hell with that. George is a master of creating the emotional rollercoaster effect in the songs he does. The Sky is Crying is probably his best example.
Good stuff buddy. Thorogood & Bo Diddley is still my top viewed video, sitting at just over 269K views.

George is the worst. The guy just makes noise. A real slide guitarist would be Derek Trucks. Even George himself knows he sucks. 😂

Thorogood is sub-par on his best day and that’s being nice.
What can you do without being told by others?
What do you do for a living?
Is that why you’re watching him? Just to comment that you don’t like him? I bet you’re a real fun person.

You need to go watch Derek trucks and see a real slide guitarist as opposed to a noise maker.
