Gearbox removed the weapon limitations in the remaster, but only after you unlock additional modes that allow you to carry everything. Still tho, it has regenerated health which sucks.
Fun Fact: A game very similar to both Bulletstorm and Painkiller, called NecroVision, was released sometime after Painkiller utilizing its engine. NecroVision is an FPS set during WW1, but it quickly spirals into chaos with ghosts, mechs, vampires, and demons, and it's an absolute blast to play. It's also pretty unique as it has a combo system, which was pretty unheard of in games at that time, especially for an FPS. If you enjoyed Bulletstorm or Painkiller, or enjoy combo-based games like Devil May Cry or God of War, I would highly recommend NecroVision.
NecroVision is nothing similar to Bulletstorn lol. Bulletstorn is more like a modern boomer shooter like Doom Eternal. NecroVision is more similar to The Darkness (the first game).
Ill admit, when it came out, I bought it mainly for the Gears 3 beta, but Bulletstorm was awesome in its own right. I've been singing the praises of it for the last 13 years. People HATED on the game so much years ago, but I think in a post Doom 2016 world, people are starting to come around to it slowly but surely.
When I had a PS3, a disc of this game was there in our house. My dad hid it because i was too young to play it back then. I really appreciate the option to turn gore and mature language on and off, and how they did it is really well made too. The game looks just amazing, it plays amazing, the story is, in my opinion, really good and creative too. The animations are amazing and cutscenes too... The PC and PS4 upgrades aren't that expensive, especially if compared to Red Dead Redemption 1, but that's just Take Two Interactive's doing which is another thing and I don't want to talk about it now. I finished the game today and I'm so disappointed with how underrated this is, and how People Can Fly ended up, meaning we likely wont get BulletStorm 2 unless there was someone rich who cares about videogames like me and would buy People Can Fly their freedom. Oh and I feel kinda offended by you commenting how could that game even play on PS3... Look, PS3 is, despite what anyone might say, really good and reliable to this day. Either way, I'm happy that your criticism is actually just sharing your opinion and not trash talking or complaining about it like a mad man. This game is just so good and I feel like it's an example to how games back then were filled with love from the companies - developers and publishers, and now they, like EA, Take Two Interactive and Epic Games just... in short, think differently. The only thing it takes is knowledge of what is happening with the developers and publishers, what are their relationships. Perhaps that's exactly why so many of them are getting worse. Don't you agree?
Dude. Had your video in my recommendations. Not only is the video a banger, but also your background music choice... BASED R&C Up Your Arsenal and Gladiator soundtracks, i love these games so much and their OST slaps so hard too. Had the maddest flash backs during your video, good times!
I bought it on its original release, thanks to TotalBiscuit (R.I.P.). It was incredible. I still remember trying for hours to get the Wingman skill shot and spending hours on the online co-op mode, just messing around and getting skins for my soldier. Then I did it all again when the remaster came out. I never used the Duke voice pack, though. I like the original banter and never saw a need to add Duke to it. It's just perfect.
I do love the world aesthetic of bulletstorm. The abandoned paradise planet. If you played the level walking down the outside of a skyscraper you know exactly what I mean.
Bulletstorm & madworld 2009 has so much emphasis on "environment kill". Wish there were more game like those Bulletstorm never getting a sequel/spin off is one of the biggest tragedy in gaming. It deserved another chance
In the full clip edition there is a full inventory option when you can carry all 7 weapons, also on the switch its called bulletstorm duke of the switch edition
Whaddaya mean? why did nobody play bulletstorm, Remember if being everywhere back in 2011. Everyone loved it. I was one of the unfortunate ones that had to deal with games for windows back when it was the tumor of steam games.
I rented bulletstorm a couple months after it came out back then and man it was so damn kicking enemies into everything, still mad the game hasnt got a sequel yet
The first time I played bulletstorm was when it was a free playstation plus game, and I only played briefly as I wasn't interested in fps games at the time. I later got it on switch and enjoyed it, but I just got used to using gyro aiming and I had to readjust to without it. I bought the game once again for my steam deck, so I can re-experience the game at 60fps and with gyro. I don't think I would've gave this game a chance if it wasn't for my nephew who played this game when he was young and suggested me to try it out originally.
I didn't get your criticism on the voice acting. It is literally meant to be goofy because it doesn't take itself seriously, it fits the theme perfectly!
I like it. Finished Act 3 on my old PS3, and It just... Has really good dialogue and story in my opinion. It's nothing super dramatic, it's not super funny, it's just balanced and perfect in every way.
This games is pure ecstasy! I remember playing this game on my 360 and I played the demo first and I got the game and beat it like 3 times when I was like 12 lol. This games was seriously ahead of its time.
i remember playing bulletstorm when i was younger, i loved the game, i hadn't thought about it in years and not long ago i just thought about it and now, im here
Was going through my "Recently Played" on the Xbox app to see how far back it went (fyi it went all the way back to the first game I ever played on my old xbox 360), Bulletstorm caught my eye, and it was a game I completely forgot about until then, I remembered how I had so much fun playing this game as a kid and messing around with the goofy ragdolls, great to see people still talking about it let alone remembering it's existence
back then I was speedrunning through the demo to be on the official highscore list on PS3, when I got the game it just completely absorbed me 😄 man great times
IDK if it needed a remaster specifically, but it DEFINITELY needed something. The original required Games for Windows Live... which doesn't exist anymore. There were programs you could download to allow you to run it but how many people would actually do that?
I played it a couple of years ago and yeah, you nailed everything in the video. The only thing i didn't like about the game is how much repetitive it could be. Especially the whip and kick system which it can be frustrating after doing multiple times when, in my terms, i just wanna shoot straight only with the A. Rifle
I played Bulletstorm last in… Middle school? Early early high school? I have vivid memories of playing through the game multiple times. One memory that sticks out is me playing the part of the game where the giant follows you around the diorama area in the city where you go backstage. I remember that it was either a Sunday night or a school night since I remember having to essentially time myself so that Id go to bed on time. It was a fun game. Sucks that it ended on a cliffhanger. But it seems people are becoming more aware of the game after they remastered it recently. Had some funny social commentary that I didnt pick up on before of how the gauntlet was an official military device and rewarded soldiers for being as brutally violent and creative in their kills as possible. Essentially making fun of how much people in the military can glorify violence for entertainment. While I do wish we got to see more of the crew before they all died but Ish and the main guy, I did enjoy my time with the characters. I really liked the tomboy character you meet up with later in the story. They did make Ish a great character because he essentially died/is dying because of the actions of the main character. He played well off of the goofy MC
Bulletstorm was sooo good and I wish I had played it sooner. I didn't play it until like a year or two ago because it was on sale for dirt cheap and my friend convinced me to try it and I'm glad I listened. My friend is one of the few people I know who loves this game to death even when the original version released.
I'm glad you mentioned the most important 1 mission game: *DUTY CALLS* After I saw that ending I knew I had to get the game. Shame it got no sequel but I blame Randy for that.
Had it originally on 360. And i think i still have it somewhere. Played the remastered version on PS Plus and then bought it so i could play as Duke Nukem haha
Bought it at launch, got home, kicked my girlfriend and siblings out, snorted a huge line of meffenfettermans, and spent like the next couple weeks kicking fools, leashing tools, and shooting ghouls... Thank you so much, People Can Fly!!!
Played the original around when it came out i have absolutely no clue what the story was about again but the gameplay is a lot of fun. Good for pointing out the 2 weapon limit that became so ingrained and i think it would've been a lot better if you had all the weapons. Imagine if Bulletstorm came out after the Doom 2016 / eternal games and they learned those lessons.
I got the Remaster during the Steam Sales a few years ago. I was like "Oh, it looks a bit funny, and for 2,99? Sure thing." So I downloaded the thing and played that game for an entire week, enjoying the bombastic campaign, the barter between the characters and the ridiculous guns. Oh, and I did played as Duke the second time, and it was hilarious. I managed to get a feiend to buy it and we played it for a while and it was really fun. I can only recommend it, and get some buddys because the coop is fun too! Great review, as usual. I shall wait for the next one with impatience 👀
I remember happening to download this game in college and running through the story in 2 days just so I could be done with the campaign haha. It was fun tho!
So i dont know if you ever played this game before, but its series is a hidden gem in the ps3 era. The game was called Resistance 1 2 3. I wish people talk about this game more often for such great visuals and story.
before finishing watching that movie ( am at 0:20 when i am writing this comment ) i will say this i had ALOT of fun with Bulletstorm on my old trusty PS3... and multiplayer survival mode was great af
I may missremember it but i think this game was popular in Poland if tv channel where they showed clips from games that people send this game was often seen wich may mean that people liked it
I recently played bulletstorm and im genuinely mad it wasnt successfull since it has become one of my favorite games And we just got space marines 2 coming out soon so that gives me hope for another insane ps3 game to get a sequel
What happened to that time when they were just releasing solid FPS single player games constantly? Doom Eternal releases and then it's just crickets now. Ooh, imagine a new Bulletstorm with Doom Eternal's quality! 🤯
Took me forever to finish this game cause I kept stopping for months over the course of a few years. Until finally I finished awhile ago once I actually committed to the weird takedowns. Oh yeah it’s really fun. Really outdoes even hazbin and hellava on how much they swear for no reason
This game always looked interesting to me but never tried it out sicne when I was thinking of renting it in Blockbuster, I would always end going for something else entirely.
After this video, I installed the game for the first time, and damn it's so good! I can't even imagine how the industry went from this to games where characters use pronounces and try to not offend some minorities. This game doesn't give a shit. The story is just hilarious, and the liners of the main characters are amazing. Modern games taste like vegan tasteless smoothy. This one is more like a bloody steak with hot sauce on top of it.
I got bullet storm for free during one of the PlayStation plus free monthly games, they offered the full clip edition. If they make a new game of a similar stye i will get it.
Ha ha, just finished this game for the first time half an hour ago. Damn good game, and one of the few games run on Unreal not make me want to burn my PC. Too bad it is short and we may never see the sequel.
Ironically enough playing the Duke Nukem DLC (which just swaps the main character with Duke Nukem). Is the best Duke Nukem game both gameplay and narrative wise in years !
Im interesting who could made this sequel and who is owner. People can fly made Outriders In my opinion much better game then Bulletstorm. And People Can Fly from little Polish Comapny became international you can see they are now intenational developer. They got people in Poland and Canada. Ofcorse main owner can be somewhere else.
When I saw this games trailer I lost my shit Completed it in a single sitting And this game made me a hardcore gamer Thank you Bulletstorm PS: Singularity is also great
Played the 2011, original release variant on playstation. Reminded me a bit of MADWORLD with the "points for creative kills" and well... that concept jived well with me - still does, but I sorta want to see more like these, two afformentioned titles (MADWORLD and Bulletstorm). Too tired of the "Spectecle"-fighter/killer genre that is Devil May Cry, back then.
I played this game my older brother pirated it. Sorry game devs we were poor back then. That's why I'm in this video to see if anyone cares about it in 2024
I remember my brother getting this game for the PS3, and I insisted on staying up during a school night because cool game had funny gallons of gore and I watched him play it for a while. After that, I played through the game 4 or 5 times over the years, it was so damn enjoyable. I would play the VR port, but I hear it's kinda ass and, with how lazy Borderlands 2 VR is, I'm not really that surprised, but definitely disappointed
Play Bulletstorm!!
Gearbox removed the weapon limitations in the remaster, but only after you unlock additional modes that allow you to carry everything. Still tho, it has regenerated health which sucks.
one of my favourite shooters to this day
When I get my money up I will
Yes
I played Bullet Strom 5 times since I was 15 years old

I love necrovision
I bought this game 2 years ago and never played it because of some bug with my AMD card. Now I have a Nvidia. I think I will try it out
NecroVision is nothing similar to Bulletstorn lol.
Bulletstorn is more like a modern boomer shooter like Doom Eternal.
NecroVision is more similar to The Darkness (the first game).
@@Jack_War bulletstorm is as far as it gets from boomer shooters
got it free with a game magazine I used to buy and it was a blast!
I loved bulletstorm and was shocked it wasnt more popular
Bulletstorm is my childhood game, I always go back and play through it every year
we are same brother !!
Ill admit, when it came out, I bought it mainly for the Gears 3 beta, but Bulletstorm was awesome in its own right. I've been singing the praises of it for the last 13 years. BASED R&C Up Your Arsenal and Gladiator soundtracks, i love these games so much and their OST slaps so hard too.
Had the maddest flash backs during your video, good times!
I played bulletstorm it was really awesome
I bought Singularity after watching your video on it, and i have a feeling i'll be buying Bulletstorm soon too!
u gonna love it it felt like an older doom with wankier weapons and mechanics at the time of release. there is also bulletstorm VR hoping for a sequel

I LOVE THIS GAME. This era is so nostalgic to me man.
I got fucking cold flashbacks to outriders, a game I absolutely forgot existed, like a bad dream.
I do love the world aesthetic of bulletstorm. The abandoned paradise planet. If you played the level walking down the outside of a skyscraper you know exactly what I mean.
Bulletstorm & madworld 2009 has so much emphasis on "environment kill". Wish there were more game like those
Bulletstorm never getting a sequel/spin off is one of the biggest tragedy in gaming.
It deserved another chance
Both deserve sequels I'd kill for a Mad World 2 or even if they continued it with another Anarchy Reigns
In the full clip edition there is a full inventory option when you can carry all 7 weapons, also on the switch its called bulletstorm duke of the switch edition
Whaddaya mean? why did nobody play bulletstorm, Remember if being everywhere back in 2011. Everyone loved it.

YT recommendation W.
I rented bulletstorm a couple months after it came out back then and man it was so damn kicking enemies into everything, still mad the game hasnt got a sequel yet
the little transition noises you have every few seconds sounds like my dogs throwing up and I've been freaking out thank you.
best experience to play Bulletstorm is to play it with the Duke Nukem DLC
Really underrated youtuber..You deserve way more bro👍
Thank you man :)

I've played Bulletstorm even when they did a re release. the Sniper Rifle was my favorite weapon.
I played the entirety of this game in one sitting. What an experience!

I loved bulletstorm, but upon finishing the game I was so disappointed the sequel got canceled so the story doesn't end..
I remember barely playing this game, but was always extremely drawn to it. Seems like a game to come back to.
I replayed Bulletstorm again about 4 weeks ago and it sure is still an absolute BANGER.
I ended up buying the game to be able to play gears 3 beta honestly worth it I really enjoyed playing this game.
I remember playing the demo for this game on my dad's xbox... over and over and over. I think I played the demo for this game at least 50 times
back then I was speedrunning through the demo to be on the official highscore list on PS3, when I got the game it just completely absorbed me 😄 man great times

I do. It was hands down one of the best games on the 360 along with Vanquish, another largely forgotten gem.
I played Bulletstorm last in… Middle school? Early early high school? I have vivid memories of playing through the game multiple times. it was a super fun game that almost no one knew about back in the day. IDEK how i found it but i did and enjoyed it a lot.
I'm glad you mentioned the most important 1 mission game: *DUTY CALLS*
After I saw that ending I knew I had to get the game. Shame it got no sequel but I blame Randy for that.
Played the demo non stop, when I was younger lol
I do and came looking for this video so thank you
It was heavily censored here in Germany. The points system was not even properly working
I love this game. It's so over the top and cheesy that you can't help but love it for all its b movie campiness
The makers of Bulletstorm are making Witchfire. Its excellent
Im playing it again right now. Love this game.
when I saw the VR version I was energy boosted for 2 days
Had it originally on 360. And i think i still have it somewhere. Played the remastered version on PS Plus and then bought it so i could play as Duke Nukem haha

Great review, as usual. I shall wait for the next one with impatience 👀
No way someone update just a new video about Bulletstorm, after I remembered this game just exists after years
I remember happening to download this game in college and running through the story in 2 days just so I could be done with the campaign haha. It was fun tho!
I played it, and I remembered back in the days people doesn't like it. But i found it quite fun.

before finishing watching that movie ( am at 0:20 when i am writing this comment ) i will say this
i had ALOT of fun with Bulletstorm on my old trusty PS3...
and multiplayer survival mode was great af
Hey so the psvr 2 version has been updated and fixed completely but is there still content missing, like what am i getting with the purchase?🤔
I remember that this game was one of the people from ‘smosh games’ favourite game lol
11:16 - I swear this line of dialogue with that VA voice made me almost cry laughing
I may missremember it but i think this game was popular in Poland if tv channel where they showed clips from games that people send this game was often seen wich may mean that people liked it
I did. I played the demo on x360 at my friends house and then I played it on my PC when it came out. Now lets watch the video
I recently played bulletstorm and im genuinely mad it wasnt successfull since it has become one of my favorite games
And we just got space marines 2 coming out soon so that gives me hope for another insane ps3 game to get a sequel
I desperately want Bulletstorm 2
I did play this years ago. Had some fun wouldn't play it again. But if I had the chance I would enjoy!
What happened to that time when they were just releasing solid FPS single player games constantly? Doom Eternal releases and then it's just crickets now. Ooh, imagine a new Bulletstorm with Doom Eternal's quality! 🤯
Twice I've completed it, it's a blast of a game
As I said in a different post of yours I only played the VR version, but I will try the game
I love BulletStorm and it’s available for super cheap would recommend
oh have ya' covered the game series?: Resistance. As well as another one named: Condemned.
I used to play the mess out this game’s demo back in the day.
Only issue I have is the lack of jumping and the screen keeps shaking whenever you sprint or crouch making me kinda dizzy
That's a problem I have too, the head bob is horrible
I got bullet storm for free during one of the PlayStation plus free monthly games, they offered the full clip edition. If they make a new game of a similar stye i will get it.
Ha ha, just finished this game for the first time half an hour ago. Damn good game, and one of the few games run on Unreal not make me want to burn my PC. Too bad it is short and we may never see the sequel.
As long as the sequel is not for "Modern Audience". I'm fucking in.
I played Bulletstorm, beat it and loved it.
Still hoping you might do The Saboteur
Played it back when it came out. A lot of big dumb fun
I played it. It’s one of my favourite games
When I saw this games trailer I lost my shit
Completed it in a single sitting
And this game made me a hardcore gamer
Thank you Bulletstorm
PS: Singularity is also great
I loved this game because at the time, call of duty was the king of fps games and this was just an all around fun game to play.
I was so excited for the VR version of this game but it was just kind of plopped into the toilet and they don't care enough to fix it.
"Call of Duty support studio" is the definition of nasty work, especially phonetically.
I did play bulletstorm, I didnt play the "rebooted" version, A ton of people played the normal bulletstorm,
looks cool, probably gonna buy when on sale, because 37 euro is waaaay too much
Luckily due to the lack of sales it goes down to £2.99 onsale lol
It finally came on sale, playing it rn.
Played the 2011, original release variant on playstation. Reminded me a bit of MADWORLD with the "points for creative kills" and well... that concept jived well with me - still does, but I sorta want to see more like these, two afformentioned titles (MADWORLD and Bulletstorm). Too tired of the "Spectecle"-fighter/killer genre that is Devil May Cry, back then.
i like this littel dog face :3
I like bulletstorm...it was actually the duke nukem game we never got...
I loved bulletstorm i played it on xbox 360 then replated it on ps4 and now i played it on my ps5
I loved this when Sony released it for free on PSN, I would kill for a sequal
Because here in Germany it is cut from the depiction of violence
I played this game my older brother pirated it. Sorry game devs we were poor back then. That's why I'm in this video to see if anyone cares about it in 2024
I remember my brother getting this game for the PS3, and I insisted on staying up during a school night because cool game had funny gallons of gore and I watched him play it for a while.
After that, I played through the game 4 or 5 times over the years, it was so damn enjoyable. I would play the VR port, but I hear it's kinda ass and, with how lazy Borderlands 2 VR is, I'm not really that surprised, but definitely disappointed
I have it & loved it. Sucks No Bulletstorm 2. Waaaaa!!!
