The absolute best thing about this game and what makes it feel like a gem from another time is that it was just fun. That's literally it. The gameplay was inventive and focused on just being a blast, quite literally. It's amazing how modern game's seem to have forgotten how important of a quality this is.

Found this video a few days ago after finishing Bulletstorm on PS4. This is absolutely gold, so glad I found this channel. I've seen this video probably five times now, and surprised so few people have seen it. I honestly expected this to have a few hundred thousand views. You even convinced me to buy the Duke Nukem DLC and replay the whole game, and was not disappointed! Keep up the good work, Junko!
That's awesome to hear! Thank you. I know some people find the Duke Nukem DLC a bit corny but as you can probably tell, I had a good time with it and I'm glad you had fun too!
I went to are local rental stores with my family and we’ll looking for what game I wanted the owner called me over and told me to “check this out, came out last and I just beat it last night, it was awesome you should try it” And then I fell in love and saved a little corner in my brain for bulletstorm to forever live

I've been playing a lot of Duke 3d on my switch recently and I remember like two days ago lamenting that I'll never get to play a new game with the Duke in it again. Now you're telling me there's been one out for a while now all along? I need to get this.
This has got to be one of my favorite games of all time. Apart from the great gameplay the story was so cool. loved the idea of a vacation planet for the rich gone wrong after a catastrophe, the parts with the waterfall and the oasis's were beautiful
I’m in full agreement with seemingly everyone who comes across your videos; they’re fantastic and keep it up. It’s not a question of if, but when you’ll make it big. Especially love your PSP stuff, as there are very few decent reviews/discussions on PSP imo. Probably won’t be the video type that blows up your channel, but I hope you’ll continue to throw them out every once in a while!

Dang they really did have all the current tropes back then. It's got the whip from Shadow Warrior 3, the melees from Doom Eternal, the powerslide from borderlands 3, and the Duke Nukem from Duke Nukem.
Came here from the comment section of a Peach Cobbler vid, and... oh, what a coincidence, the humble store has Bulletstorm's remaster available for $5 guess I know what I'm doing tonight
Man, I love Bulletstorm. You’re right, it gets a little tedious toward the end, but it’s just the right length to mitigate it, if you’re just doing a quick one and done playthrough. There was multiplayer as well, though that may have just been in the PS4 remaster. I’d love a sequel for this game.
I played Bulletstorm when it first launched and really enjoyed it. I also played the remastered version, but never used Duke. I'll have to play it again with him.
I would love to see another game use a similar kind of DLC but instead of Duke Nukem, it's the Postal Dude. His character is perfect for this kind of humor, especially since he's not some hero trying to save the world, he's just an asshole trying to mind his own damn business but crazy shit keeps happening to him.
Recently played Bulletstorm and loved it, granted it was on an Xbox 360. I can't wait to pick it up for the switch now knowing Duke Nukem is in it. I said when I played the game; "this should have been Duke Nukem Forever. Just put more babes in it and more alien killing and you've got the workings of a good Duke game."
I see Duke in Bulletstorm as an apology for screwing over his reputation in DNF. It was really refreshing seeing this Duke again that was missing since Manhattan Project and Land of the Babes.
Recently replayed Duty Calls and had a blast, granted help it's like 15 minutes or so in length. Duke Nukem in Bulletstorm is way better than Forever and my only experince with Full Clip edition is this video.
All of stuff you talked about with the call of duty parody demo perfectly explains randy pitchford. He thinkshimself better than everyone else but is no different.
Hold on, I gotta look into who has voiced this madlad over the years. Just listening to him in this, I'm curious if they hired the honest trailers dude
This was the first game with the duke that I ever played and I kinda gave me a false impression of the character. In bulletstorm his a more John McClain type character, spouting one liners but still having a heart of gold, but in every other game his either just the one liners or a complete misogynist. If we ever get another Duke game I’d hope it’s more in line with how he is in bulletstorm
Got this game off GameFly back in the day. I enjoyed it for what it was and the cooperative mode seemed fun but none of my friends got the game. Even when it was free on PS+ none of my friends got it then lol. Fun shooter tho
I remember thinking the same as you, gameplay was fun but it did get old at the end as well as the dialogue not being the best. Though Duke sounds like he makes this even funnier.
Well, you were right about the slide mechanic, but when you say "it'll happen one day" it sounds like you haven't seen it yet, but it has, Borderlands 3 has it, and hey, it's Gearbox, but it still counts, right?
Yeah the polish studio that developed it did a pretty good job for their first major production. Dude polish people love Duke Nukem, hence why this game is inspired by it humor and gameplay wise.
I gotta be honest, I spent maybe... I dunno... 300 hours into the DEMO trying to hit the top of the leaderboards. I didn't even know there was a story mode for the first few hundred hours I put into the full game. I had notes written on what to do second by second... I remember one steno page being half way filled with just like 2.5 seconds of direction. Cause you get more points per first time you manage a type of kill.... The echoes mode is everything the game 'The Club' promised but didn't deliver... But NO ONE TALKS ABOUT IT. The story mode? It gets you used to the controls so you can get on the leaderboards of echoes. Similar to Vanquish. Both of them are, IMHO, the best examples of first and third person shooters. And I am not sure I beat the story of Bulletstorm... But I have put a solid thousand hours into it.
