As much as this hurts there’s also some good to be learned from this, the gaming industry and studios working for these larger companies are now more aware that even if you make a beloved 10/10 game that doesn’t promise your safety, Hopefully studios band together to form a sort of safety net for them and their employees, cause what Xbox done to tango games is absolutely insane and stupid Hi-fi Rush is a beautiful game!!!! It’s like playing a Ps2 games for the modern day THATS HOW FUN IT IS! And some idiots said “ yeah let em go” like what!!? The game didn’t even under perform!!!! And I imagine the development time of greenlit for the sequel would’ve been HALF if not lesser than the average development time of a triple A studio Hi- Fi rush could very well inspired a return to old in the gaming industry, games that are just fun! Games that aren’t an 80hr grind to complete, games that doesn’t lock fun mechanics behind a paywall, the only DLC are fun costumes and that’s it!! Dawg imagine the sequal!!! Imagine the new music, the new boss fights we could’ve probably played as the others and have chai in our support!! I genuinely hope tangogames can make the sequal happen, either a crowd fund or partner up with SEGA or someone that can give the studio what it needs to make a comeback and pull the middle finger to Xbox
the studio is gone dude. there wont be a sequel. once a studio is shut down all the workers have to find a job somewhere else. sometimes new studios rise from the ashes. but that doesn't always happen. even if the people from tango start their own, they wont be able to make a sequel since the copyright is owned by microsoft.

That's not why, nor has that ever been stated to be the reason (multiple people who worked at and with the team have confirmed that Shinji didn't take a large number of employees). Tango was shut down because it was convenient. They didn't have any games currently in Production and when they requested more resources to go forward with development, Microsoft didn't want to invest in them. It was a decision informed by Microsoft prioritize "high-impact" titles that could make them more money. Tango were always a quaint, and relatively small team. If Shinji leaving to form his own studio (for completely personal reasons, AFTER ensuring the leadership left behind could adequately run the studio), then this would've been considered ages ago. But Phil Spencer himself went to visit Tango back in September (and explicitly said they'd be "reinvestingin Tango Gameworks" *well* after Shinji left), and just this past March, Sarah Bond was celebrating Tango's 14 year anniversary (saying "Here's to many more" on Twitter). It's extremely obvious this decision was made at some point within the month of April, and the fact that the shutdown was SO abrupt that Tango’s website still says they're hiring for 2025, indicates it was likely a last minute decision.
@@DLxxx You're right, Tango Gamework's shutdown felt abrupt. Considering they just released a PS port for HiFi Rush and a rumored Switch port is (or was) going to happen soon. Which is a shame, no HiFi Rush sequel or an Evil Within 3 in the future.

As much as this hurts there’s also some good to be learned from this, the gaming industry and studios working for these larger companies are now more aware that even if you make a beloved 10/10 game that doesn’t promise your safety,
Hopefully studios band together to form a sort of safety net for them and their employees, cause what Xbox done to tango games is absolutely insane and stupid
Hi-fi Rush is a beautiful game!!!! It’s like playing a Ps2 games for the modern day THATS HOW FUN IT IS! And some idiots said “ yeah let em go” like what!!? The game didn’t even under perform!!!! And I imagine the development time of greenlit for the sequel would’ve been HALF if not lesser than the average development time of a triple A studio
Hi- Fi rush could very well inspired a return to old in the gaming industry, games that are just fun!
At least Microsoft isn't like EA and shuts them down immediately and making the rest of the franchise it's based on bad
Your right Microsoft does the same thing but with a different flavour
Please don't jinx us, there's still time for Microsoft to fuck up the series
WE ARE SO BACK
I was praying for this game to come to PlayStation since I saw its release last year and my prayer was answered, just for the studio to close down two months later lol. Hi-Fi Rush is definitely in my top 5 games ever, I'm so glad I eventually got to play it.
The meme selection and usage was great! I laughed a ton 😂. Keep up the great work.
I play this game nonstop. It was that good
The animation, the charming character, the legitimately funny lines, and overall good time.
What a shame.
The more we talk about it the more it hurst
While mention “3rd person action games” at 5:43 at saw katana zero which is really funny to me
😢 hifi rush maybe one of the few new game that just suddenly appear to me and i immediately buy in a heart beat (get it? Beat?). Tango didnt deserve this man...
Just finished the game with UEVR mod and It was awesomeeee. It works like native VR port. Unforgettable 🤗
Na I don't blame you for hifi rush being your game of the year last year. It's honestly a solid choice. Especially with bangers like bg3 and alan wake 2
What's absolutely criminal is that the world of hifi rush had so much to expand.
Well, THIS certainly aged poorly….and for once, that’s actually a GOOD thing.
This is easily my GOTY as long as we're considering THE FINALS a 2024 release (since it dropped, uh, *immediately* after the game awards lol)
Damn we won't be getting dishonored too😢
Damn it your video made me want to buy hi-fi rush. It's going on my wishlist until I have enough money 😂
Streamer mode was stupid good.
Microsoft: "time for more call of duty dear"
Xbox players: yes honey
I fell like if Hi-fi rush and sunset overdrive we're combined it would be untouchable i will die on this hell
I am so fkn sad that Tango got closed :(
Yesterday, I finally finished a playthrough of the game, went to listen to the streamer mode OST cuz I love it and got hit with the biggest 180 to my mood ever when I saw the comments
Fuck you Microsoft
And here I was waiting for the evil within 3 for a very long time😔
In my defence the dark souls tree with nuts took priority
The title literally sums up my thoughts perfectly
It was my GOTY too. Thank God I finally found someone who agrees with me
i love hi-fi rush it was my go of the year last year and this was really sad to hear
The minute i saw this i knew it was something i was looking for to scratch that itch in gaming i was so happy and loved it and was my goty
Funny timing, just started playing this yesterday
Well this aged poorly (hopefully, and in a good way) it seems the hifi rush ip and developers were bought/hired by another studio
Just got it on the PS5 on sale. Excited to play it. Will they ever let Starfield come to the PS5?
Not just a GOTY for me, but one of my favourite games of all time.
I don’t think any other game had me by the balls within the first 10 minutes and only got better over time.
Another top tier video 🤫🧏
that's sad, they could have made an entire tv sierras, and 3 games
What a bummer.
The fact that Microsoft can actively continue to do this to beloved game studios is actually insane
Agreed that Hi-Fi Rush is one of a kind and i wish all the developers from Tango the best
i think this has something to do with just one guy or a few people who hated the game or had something to do with money
Well…I’m mad…I played this game and despite the repetition, I absolutely loved it!! And now my day is ruined! My life is squandered! And my hopes for humanity is waning even further…this is even worse than what happened with the hbo max purge of 2020, with the purge of things like infinity train. God damn it!
Imagine if Sony somehow get's tango and basically say "here's some f off Sony money go make a game"
Its quite funny that the game that mocks companies is the one that got shut down…
soberscot mentioned
-Game is amazing
-Not enough people buy or play it
-Studio is closed
-Pretends to be surprised
@@hazelcrisp well clearly someone hasn't watched the video or done research
I haven’t even watched the video yet but yes. I agree, I loved this game
I don’t know why but I keep associating you with Foekoe.
Dmc3 dante plays the guitar 😅
And Cherry from Cookie Cutter as well as Eddie Riggs from Brütal Legend play guitars for weapons too.
And Hector from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.
@@heardofrvb Now there's an interesting deep cut!
Can add Rocketbilly Redcadillac from the second Gungrave game to that list as well.
Cool @@heardofrvb
This game has Denuvo so would i be safe to buy this game on ps5?
What do you mean safe?
I didnt know that all of this happened, its horrible
I will look into this game it looks interesting and also can you make a Video to prey? I loved that game and i think more people should know about it and you even use the prey Soundtrack (end of the vid)
Hi Fi rush gave me ps2 and xbox vibes.
Whats the song at the end of the video?
tango shut down because the leader of tango left and a lot of people left a year ago
Machine games is definitely on the choping block. Because no soul on earth is buying an xbox for an Indiana jones game that we havent seen 10 seconds of straight gameplay for.
I wonder if and when the game will come to Nintendo Switch or it’s successor
