oh also - definitely look up the amphioxus. They look so toxic, like a dart frog. I've got one in terrarium conditions but also one in my regular humid room and both are doing great.
Yes I’ve heard of it, looks so poisonous 🤣 That’s great and well done - I’ve never picked one up because I assumed it would need higher humidity than I could give!
I love Begonia Ferox - think you might like that as well if you like the weird ones :D The mature leaves have loads of spikes and when new baby leaves grow they're super cute and fluffy :)
Hi Amy. Thanks for sharing your begonias. I may already have mentioned that I managed to kill two masonianas so I’ll be replacing them with something different. There are so many to choose from that it’s difficult to decide. I have one begonia that I can’t identify and it’s hanging from a beam on our patio. I grew it from a couple of leaves that I pinched from a neighbour’s garden and I’ve propagated so many pieces that I think it’s time to add some variety to the family. I need to choose something that stays a bit compact though.
Hello! I’m so sorry to hear about your experience with the masoniana, sometimes the plant just doesn’t suit but you tried twice so gave it a good go! The one on the patio sounds lovely. Maybe some of the rex cultivars, as they stay fairly small, would be a good choice 🥰✨🌱
...think the begonia you can't identify is Snowcap (which is so called because of the white leaf tips on the spotted leaves). The one you called Snowcap looks like Lucerne (aka Corallina de Lucerne). Love Love Love Black Fang! Enjoy your vids.
I love my angel 😇 wing/ cane begonias. I try really hard with the rex type but can’t get it watering right. Maybe self watering pots would be the answer.
They really are so different in their care! I find the Rex types are very vocal with their leaves, so you could check that going forward to see when they need water and see if it helps 🤷🏼♀️
I think the leggings of begonias is why they really have never kept my interest. I think they are stunning in other people’s collections, but I just have always lost interest in any I have owned. The history is fascinating but even with that I still just find myself going meh.
I totally get that! There are a few genera out there that are very popular but are just totally not for me. I guess that’s the benefit of having so much choice out there 🤣
Thanks for showing off 'Lynda Dawn'. It is my hybrid created about 25 years ago and named for my sister.
@18:10 😳🤯🤩 when I tell you that I literally choked on my water when this plant came up! Black Fang! I definitely NEED this beauty!!!! Amazing
Hahaha this is how I felt when I saw it online years ago! Such a wonderful one! 😍✨🌱

Your braid (plait) is the thickest one I’ve ever seen! Gorgeous ❤

I have heard of it, it looks insanely cool to me! 😍 Definitely one for the list, and you’re right it’s totally up my street 🤣 thank you ✨
I love the Ferox too! They’re quite hardy and super easy to grow from leaf cuttings as well.
Great Amy! You're zo passionate about your hobby. I can relate in another hobby.
Thank you so much! What’s your other hobby? ☺️

Thank you so much for letting me know, will definitely take a look at these more closely! Really appreciate that, and thanks for watching! 🥰✨🌱

Nice varied selection! I love the wightii but can’t grow it for the life of me! However, I have a huge linda dawn. Go figure 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you Dee! ✨🌱 Sometimes it just happens like that doesn’t it, can’t be explained 🤣 Well done for the Linda Dawn, I love it!
❤🌿🥰🌿🥰🌿🥰🌿❤
✨🤍🌱☺️🥰
I wonder if your unknown begonia is begonia maculata "Annan Grace"?
Thank you! I’ll take a look at this 😍
love the luxurians but just like you've found mine threw a hissy fit... and did not survive 💀😥
Sometimes it’s just not meant to be ☠️🤣

I love Begonia rex Fireworks and then cane Brevirimosa - those two sparked my interest in begonias.
Oooh I would love to have a brevirimosa! Beautiful plants ✨🌱
I have poor luck and have lost a few from Botanicaz.
The one i love is Julau and thats east for me tfs live the Galaxy i had one and it died
Ah they can be so tricky, it’s also why I don’t have a huge amount in my collection, sometimes they just decide to take a turn! Maybe next time 🤞🏼🌱

Talking too much without showing the plant, we don't want to see a long video showing your face
That’s fine, you really don’t need to watch something you don’t enjoy!
