So while it wasn't in active production until 2010, the total "preparation to screen" was a whopping seven years.

If you think about history, in the MCU, Operation Paperclip was rewritten to include SHIELD. And while the US focused on the infestation of SHIELD and a couple of Senators, what about the rest of the potentially compromised portions of the US Government.

I never got to read comic books as a kid, so I knew very little about any of these characters before watching the movies. At this scene I freaking lost it... when Falcon comes flying in with Sitwell.... such a badass moment. I wish he had been in Age of Ultron (would've been helpful)... He's such a great character. I love how he became a counselor at the VA for other traumatized veterans- super cool development. Also, the scene where The Winter Soldier was revealed to be Bucky- I wasn't ready for that! lol.

I heard an interesting theory that said Sitwell was a triple agent who really worked for Nick Fury. It would explain why the algorithm picked him as a target and how he realized it. A member of Hydra would not be a threat to Hydra unless they were unloyal and/or working for the other team.

I never got to read comic books as a kid, so I knew very little about any of these characters before watching the movies. At this scene I freaking lost it... when Falcon comes flying in with Sitwell.... such a badass moment. I wish he had been in Age of Ultron (would've been helpful)... He's such a great character. I love how he became a counselor at the VA for other traumatized veterans- super cool development.
Also, the scene where The Winter Soldier was revealed to be Bucky- I wasn't ready for that! lol.

I heard an interesting theory that said Sitwell was a triple agent who really worked for Nick Fury. It would explain why the algorithm picked him as a target and how he realized it. A member of Hydra would not be a threat to Hydra unless they were unloyal and/or working for the other team.
