Custard Pie | TasteoftheSouthPacific

Custard pie is a dessert that many Fijians have grown up eating. I grew up eating pineapple pie but the recipe is similar in many ways just without the crushed pineapple. It's a simple dish that has a lot of flavour. I decided to make the custard from scratch but you can always use the custard powder. You can add any kind of fruit/topping to your pie, I decided to have mine plain which still tasted delicious. Hope you all enjoy!
Ingredients
Crust
1 3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (soften)
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
Custard
2 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup corn starch
Drops of yellow food colouring (optional)
1 cup cream
1 1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoon butter
Note:
If you want to use custard powder add 1/4 cup custard powder and 2 cups of milk. Add a little bit of milk if it's too thick.

Even before baking it I could tell that this is the worst pie ever🤢🤮🚮 if you're watching this pls don't ever waste your money to buy the stuffs that has been shown in this video to make pie .It's just blah🤮

right? it was the milk in the dough. with just egg, butter, suggar, pinch of salt anf flour (and maybe sone kind of aroma like vanilla or lemon) it would have been ok. this looks almost like a pizza
