Good review, thanks! Looks like you just added another gun to my wish list! One suggestion: due to the quality of the metal used it's probably not a good idea to slam the cylinder home. Just like a pocket watch, you should depress the catch and close it that way. Not as cool, I agree, but if you want the gun to last longer, I'd recommend it.

Hey, dude I grabbed one that arrived a few days ago and they have made a few changes.Thankfully, It no longer has that seam on the underside of the barrel. It now comes in a plastic pack instead of a box ( I wish I had the box). No speed loader and no clicking sound when you spin the cylinder. I miss that satisfying sound. And it's 99 bucks everywhere I looked these days.
You Know, that was a really good review! I love comparison videos. Also, at the end of the video, you could have done half and half. Three BB's and 3 Pellets in the same cylinder! That would have been boss!! I would've loved to see that! Anyway, thanks for the great video.

Anything crossman is good. I still have mine, crossman pump pellet gun single shot, from when I was 10. Im almost 40 now lol and it still shoots as good as day one. It's just as accurate as a real gun!

I have the "Bear river" revolver, 10"x 5.3\4 .....the puncturing pin broke when changing cartridges. Beautiful gun,seems to be well made(except for the pin breaking) but I will contact the company on that part. Just a heads up tho when changing cartridges.

The recessed muzzle is an interesting touch. It makes it look like a higher caliber weapon.
Yeah it’s made to look like it would shoot a 357 magnum bullet

just bought my first airpistol a colt 45 peacemaker and a 1911 for my brother on our birthday thats coming up =) and do i use the gunoil on the first co2 i put in or on the 2nd one ?
I know this video's a few years old, but is this boxed-version still available online? The included rails and speed-loader are nice additions. If you buy it from Amazon you only get the sealed-in-plastic version with the gun, shells, and instructions.
If you haven't get a crossman pump single shot pellet gun and try it. It's kinda a larger pistol but probably the best pistol they make. Still have mine that's almost 30 years old and it's still as good as new. It's a rifled barrel so it's very accurate. Not as fun as a co2 but very fun to challenge yourself to tight groups and stretching distance. Shoot safe and have fun!

I bought a bear river exterminator. It's pretty much the same design as these crosmans. It was the same price as the SR 357 but it's more accurate. I remember thanksgiving day last year I saw a dove in the tree so I drew the gun, took aim, and dropped him from 25 yards away with a headshot. I ate dove for thanksgiving while everyone else had turkey.

Dan Wesson, Crossman SR 357 Which one is too good?
I've had the snub nose revolver, but after selling it, I decided to go with the chrome dan wesson. Pretty much the same gun, visual wise, except for the chrome, but it seems to be better made. I've owned both so this is just my honest opinion.
Does this have the ability to shoot darts like the Dan Wesson 715? I want to get one but I want to also shoot darts. If it does I intend to use the pellet shell's. Thank you, please respond

I'm glad you tried the pellets that's cool. The barrel is smooth is it not? Which if it is, it held those pellets pretty close. To anybody who gets this pistol, it looks VERY real, don't go waving it around in public you will so get your ass killed! Very good review thank you!

na the pellets are a little slower maybe 50fps
This is my favorite review of this gun on UA-cam. I'm in the process of ordering pellet cartridges for this gun. What is the heaviest grain pellet that can be used for this gun? What has been your experience with pellets with this gun? Which pellets work the best? Which pellets work the worst? I'm mainly interested in pellets that are lethal and can be used for hunting, such as the Crosman Destroyers, but I want to make sure I don't get pellets that are too heavy for this gun.
hey thanks for the kind words, its a great revolver. honestly i have only shot a few pellets outta it. the crosman wadcutters for target work great. also the crosman destroyers work great too. the only other pellet i have used are the gamo red tips. had not had problems with any pellet being too heavy. thanks for watching man good luck!
Thanks for the quick reply. I ended up ordering the Crosman LF1754 PowerShot Fast Flight Penetrator Pellets, .177 Cal, 5.4 Grains, Pointed, Lead-Free. I saw another UA-cam video of someone demonstrating the effectiveness of those pellets with the SNR357, so I figured they were worth a try, especially because alloy pellets like these are supposed to work the best in CO2 pistols.

the extra balance and accuracy comes from the longer 6inch barrel rather than the 2.5 inch

I cant find extra cartridges for this gun or the snubnosed gun. Does anyone know where I can get them besides crosman or amazon? I checked both websites and they are out of stock. Would love extra cartridges because after you shoot 6 then you spend 5 minutes reloading before you can shoot 6 more. Nice guns but I can see how easily I could lose interest because of the reloading issue.

yes snr 357 shells will fit it. contact crosman thru their website. tell them it never came with pellet shells. they will send you some free of charge

you didnt mention that you can NOT put pellets in the cartridges that come with the pistol! you have to special order the pellet cartridges.

it helps any gun with co2 seals. just use a drop every 10 co2 cartridges as preventive maintenance.

can you damage the gun with pellets if the barrel isnt rifled?
No. I've had two break barrel pellet rifles that were smoothbore.
As long as you can put the pellet in one end of the barrel and slide it out the other, you won't have any problems.

That 6” barrel is the difference for sure in accuracy. A decent small red dot on top would help hold your groups at 45 feet.

I would swap that smooth bore barrel out for rifled barrel. You will stack the pellets at that distance.

My grips seem very loose on this gun other than that it’s a very good shot and I might need to buy the cartridges in order to make it so I can shoot pellets

Just view this for the nth time, cause I really like your work. And as a matter of fact, I bought my 1st gun after seeing this vid. But, this was a while ago and I bought the black one. And u know what I just noticed? Cause, as a matter of fact, I always said to myself that this gun would have been even more awesome if the cylinder had sounded like the real one, if it hade made that particular little "rrrrrrr " roulette sound. And now, by reviewing your vid, I just saw, (or heard if you like) that your SNR 57 is making this so caracteristic sound. Sadly, mine is silent as a ninja. Which would be a good thing because ninjas are silent assassins, right? And this for a ninja that uses revolvers and like to show off with rotating cylinder moves. Anyhow, thanks alot for your vids.

How many shots do you get from one Co2 cartridge? Is there an indication when it runs low?
Depends on the gun, l have a peacemaker just bought a few months back l get over 130 pellets to a cartridge with it, yet with the S&W 44 Magnum l get around 55 then from my Schofield about 66,and my Webley Mark I about 70
When it runs low you will notice the pellets or BB's losing a lot of power and dropping off target. Let the gun sit for a while so the C02 can warm back up. That way you can get several more powerful shots out of it before it completely empty.
