      Don't know if you watch football or not but check out some videos of Sterling Sharpe. That dude was just over 200lbs and benched 425lbs. Pretty sure Barry Sanders was in that range as well and could squat over 600lbs. So you can lift to be big and lift to be strong. I knew a kid in high school who was benching upper 300's low 400's and he wasn't even close to the size of Scott. He was going to be the next Arnie. Not sure what ever happened to him. I know he broke his thumb skiing so couldn't lift for several weeks and lost over 100lbs off of bench. That's when I decided to stay with throwing around concrete blocks and carrying buckets of mud(mortar) for building strength.

      I get what your saying, but body type plays a bog factor as well.
      Scott is just naturally a bog dude, but if I remember he weighs in at around that 200 mark.
      Big differences between work strong and gym strong, learned that back in high-school. Took Construction Trades and could out work the gym boys in the class without even trying.
      Even still, benching 425 pounds is still quite the feat to accomplish. I know I couldn't

    • @Parents_of_Twins

      @@ShrockWPS Oh yeah wasn't trying to knock anyone. Damn Scott looks a lot bigger than 200. Hell I'm 5'8"on a good day and when I was younger and stronger I weighed 192lbs with 16% body fat. I know that isn't great but I don't think I ever looked that huge. Of course maybe it's my personal perception. Men see themselves as smaller I think some times and women see themselves as bigger. Yeah benching 425 is freaking impressive, wasn't trying to knock that. What I was trying to say is people who look smaller than Scott can bench that as well. Sorry should have made that clear. I see what you are saying, Scott is a big boned dude. Yeah I should have thought of that, oops my bad.

      Scott might be around 230 or so, I just remembered I was shocked how light he was with how much muscle he's got.
      I agree with what you're saying though, I'm a big dude 5' 10" and 320. Wish I could say it was mostly muscle, but it's not 😅.

    I have watched many of your videos while recovering from shoulder reassembly, so I have cringed at the thought of any recoil for a while! After watching this, I expected there to be some variation between the two of you based only on mass, but could easily see that strength adds to the control equation! I am curious if you or any other like minded channels have tried to evaluate the concussive impact on the body outside of recoil from the firing position? Sound and shockwave only? Thanks!

    Dude I love watching Eddie on facebook clips he puts up. Hes got a heart of gold. Hes got even more of my respect shooting that stuff especially being a UK guy that he is and you've got more respect now knowing how powerful those canons actually are to the worlds strongest man with you being a smaller guy than him though not small a man. Its always impressed me how you shoot those hand canons. If I shot a 500 it would probably fly out of my hand. Respect.

      Yeah, that's wild. I wonder what it would look like if he and I were to shoot, say, my .44 Redhawk back to back. With anything hot in it, it takes a noticeable amount of time (half a second? Three quarters?) before I can take another (accurate) shot. I'm a little feller (5'9", 150 lbs).

    • @The_sinner_Jim_Whitney
      @The_sinner_Jim_Whitney 8 місяців тому

      I think it's just down to science at this point, acceleration vs mass and stuff. But it would be really interesting to see a regular guy vs Scott vs that monster, haha! Or, more telling, another Scott-sized guy who doesn't shoot vs Scott.
      I think recoil happens so fast that experience doesn't matter with regard to how you get rocked physically. Hot .44 is about all I can hit with, and I'm kinda little, I bet it rocks me back a predictable, repeatable amount more than bigger guys who've never even fired a gun before at the same rate as, say, Scott, and I assume Eddie (doesn't strike me as a gun guy) would suck it up even better.
