Right, it baffles me that anyone would even ask why he prefers to stay in the hospital with Mary. When you love someone you never want to be apart.

I totally understand why you stay with Mary, Peter. When my husband was very ill and had a kidney transplant and later a pancreas transplant I ALWAYS slept at the hospital with him. The nurses were great, but they can't be there all the time to help your loved one. There were times that we were both very happy I was there to help him. When we get married we take our vows for a reason. You are ONE what effects one , effects the other. God bless you both. ♥

I'm a virologist (currently off long term ill - but that doesn't change the fact) and I can tell you it's frustrating for the scientists in ID as well. Waiting for cultures to grow for patients is so difficult. I've often wished I could speed things up.
Fungal cultures are the longest microbes to culture - but once it's done they can match fungus to exact anti fungal. It's worth the wait. ♡

Hey Peter, I think it is wonderful that you stay at the Hospital with Mary, that is true Love, and she is so fortunate to have you in her life.
My dad preached on John 1 this morning, too! "God in the Manger" was the title, talking about how people don't always equate Jesus in the Manger as God who came to save us. When Peter talks about how tired he is after preaching, I always think of my dad, because he preaches three times on a typical Sunday, so imagine how tired he must be on Sunday nights!

Ah I can't believe how big the Frey life family has become!!!!! I started watching back when there was about 11,000 of us. Now we're so close to 100,000 I can't believe it. So happy and blessed to be apart of the journey. Thank you Mary and Peter and Ollie. You always bring a light onto my harder days and always cheer me up even when I don't really need it. So, congrats and I can't wait to celebrate the big 100,00 with you all. Keep warm this next week!!

Super sweet when Peter said he and Ollie stay at the hospital because you are a team. I have RA and Lupus, my husband goes to every doctor appointment, infusion, test and has sat with me every injection I give myself. His reply is much like Peter's he says to me "The disease may be in your body but we have RA and Lupus." Amazing husbands we both have. And by the way, hairy cows need spa day too!

I agree stay as a team, my hubby and I have been married 33 1/2 years and to this day we have not spent one night apart!
I really can appreciate your team comment as I feel it is so important to have an advocate with you in the hospital. My daughter was recently in the hospital for a kidney infection that went septic. It was a scary time for her even though she is an adult. Feeling very blessed to be there for her and I enjoy seeing you two so committed to each other.
My favorite thing about winter is snuggling with hairy cows! They're so warm and soft!

after my 2nd and 3rd c section "I sent my hubby home" I knew he was board I was wishing he would have stayed. hospitals at night are lonley! I thank God for my wonderful nurses that were there for me
I used to work in a restaurant and a local pastor loved writing his sermons there. He told me he liked the atmosphere when writing.
I was here @ below 4,000 ish and remember when you guys were at Mary's mom's house and you had hit 10,000!!!! Can't believe you have come so far. Keep up the hard work Mary. I am very proud of you! Happy Sunday! 🤗

Spending my weekend fighting off some sort of bug, trying desperately to stay hydrated even with all of the throwing up and such and anxiously awaiting Monday to come so I can hopefully start my home IV fluids this week!! Hope your Sunday was a good one guys!!!

Aw love you guys too ! As a scientist I can say yes fungus takes awhile to grow out on the medium we use in the lab. Other bacteria just take 72 hours of quicker. I noticed your necklace , so nice ! Did peter give it to you ? Love, as always. Sonia

Mary, hill-rom makes this cool little foam thingy that you can cut a hole in to keep your port site comfortable. My kiddo uses it for her gtube and it does make a difference. It's a cool memory foam kind of material!

I'm happy to see you smiling Mary. Surgery can be a rough thing to go through but you are doing a great job recovering. I am currently dealing with a sinus infection and got antibiotics today. here's hoping I start to feel better soon because I've been feeling yucky for the past two weeks.....almost the same time you got admitted to the hospital..... hugs

love seeing you feeling better Mary keep on doing the do and Peter you be careful letting everyone know you have a drone in your backpack someone could try and take it from you. Not sure why anyone would think Peter would want to be anywhere unless his bride is there too, I think your relationship shows how an equal balance of give and take makes for a healthy relationship. And finally that room is so decked out for Christmas makes me smile, I think Peter should bring up the advent calendar though!!!

We have a winter storm here in Western Michigan...lots and lots of snow!! I was in an amazing play all weekend--A Christmas Carol, but with a twist--and we wrapped today. I'm going to miss it!! I have some video and I think I want to figure out how to post it. 😀 It was an amazing show with a great cast!!
