How can anybody not be impressed by Tom's knowledge of not only Lugers, but many other older collectible firearms, accessories and weapons. Nice job Tom well worth the view.
I only have one po8, it's a 1937 s-42 variation that came back with a ww2 veteran, I was given it along with a 44 mauser and 44 walther p38 with the promise to keep the 3 together as a stipulation when passed on to my care, I can't control what happens when I'm no longer around but will honor the request while I am the caretaker
"An Epic video" ... to say the least... I am so green with envy that.... well, you could grow moss on me....and listening to Toms knowledge of Lugers never bores me..... when Tom says, "There's more, but we don't have time for that".... I say, "Tom, you're just teasing me".... I for one, will listen to anything you have to talk about with Lugers and PP's and PPK's and history. Bluetooth headphones, a couch and my laptop and Tom's captivated me.... Keep it up... I am astonished with your subject knowledge. Thanks again for another great video.
...and Tom, I forgot to ask, do these Lugers all belong to your own personal collection? This is just a superb collection. Just the picture of them all together at one place at one time like this is in itself a historical event. I'm confident that this is only something that you could have done. I am so happy to have found this channel.....
Can you imagine the value of this mans collection??? Phenomenal. I’d be so paranoid about the care of each and every gun; like I am now. I’d never sleep. Thanks for your vids man!!!!
As a luger collector myself, I think the market is tightening up. People are interested in guns that are actually comfortable to shoot and don’t cost $1500-$8000 and up.
Just an amazing collection. Those brown wooden grips are real pieces of art. I'm waiting for a hit on the lottery to relieve you of your collection. :-)
Tom, you have a plethora of WWII knowledge. Thanks for adding to my gun-porn collection videos. You mention, if we see guns at auction that we are interested in, we can send pics to you and you can give your 2cents on them?
I just discovered this awesome channel! It would be great if you could do a video segment on the ultra-rare .45 ACP lugers that were produced for the US Army pistol trials of 1907 (I think) Only three were produced I believe . Sure wonder where they are today. Even though you likely don't have an example in your collection.........would be great to hear your thoughts on these rare guns...........
No lugers where made with that white paint in the symbols. It devalues them but people keep adding it thinking fake white paint somehow makes them look better.
Wow’sers!!!!!!!! I don’t think I have ever seen so many Rolexes...I mean Krieghoffs in one place!! Whatis also interesting is that Krieghoff didn’t follow the standard letter block production numbering. I guess they just weren’t making many so just keep going with the numbers without the letter block? Very interesting pistols.
WOW !!!!! I would love to see you whole collection of German weapons from WW ll !! I never k ew Krieghoff Lugers were made with very high quality and intricate sense to detail. You can actually see the high on the guns !!
Wow another great film about Lugers. Thanks for sharing. My dream is to make similar research about the WW1 Aviation LMG Parabellums M 1914 and M.14/17
Wow, great presentation of a hard to find Luger. I know what you mean of rare non combat bringing less money. I have a 1939 police S/42 in 97-98% that will bring less than a common Wehrmacht of same year.
go to your video about the Herman goering engraved ppk . I wrote about a letter in an antique shop addressed to herman goering from 1938 costs 350 dollars. I'm telling you this because I hope it is underpriced and you can buy it and sell it only legacy collectibles. other specifics are in my comment on the ppk video
I got one, S/42, taken from a dead german paratrooper at Dombås, Norway, april 1940. Bought it from the son of a soldiers who fought the germans there. Sadly not a Krieghof, but a Luger nevertheless.
I didnt know I was dead and I didnt know I wrote a book on Kreighoff Lugers ! I am Randall Lee Gibson the fourth , can I have # 95 please ? Thanks so much , I appreciate it
@@LegacyCollectibles wow I can't believe you answered thats awsome hay don't bother checking i dont have that kind of money also it would be pretty cool to have a video on one of those
@@jackertl6416 I've seen them pop up on occasion here in Maine for a thousand, it's probably not a Matching number piece but would definately be shoot worthy
The Krieghoff factory was liberated by the Americans, which might explain the relative prevalence of 1945's over here. Also, the author fails to comment on the 7.65 mm "Model 1923" 3 5/8" barrel DWM Krieghof(f).
Tom let me give you a suggestion: Please don't mention prices or costs, it diminishes the worth of what education is all about. Prices can be privately discussed.
probably a good idea. When I dont mention price people always ask; but honestly I am uncomfortable mentioning prices for a variety of reasons. I can go back to handling it privately. thanks for watching.

I'm sure there's someone but that person probably isn't impressed by anything or anyone because they were dropped on their head as a child 😆 😆 😆 🤣 😂

Man I wish I could own a luger pistol alone but your lucky enough to have the entire collection :)
Epic is an understatement.
Very impressive....very impressive.
Tom, you are the Man!!!
Thomas you really know the guns and history, captivating information. Thank you. I am leaning in every time you present a video. 👍🇺🇸
Absolutely enjoyed this video and of course all the research involved for these , Awesome .

A fantastic collection.
I shoot Krieghoff shotguns competitively - and have met Dieter a number of times (Dieter is Heinrich son).
Can Dieter confirm or deny 1945 pistols were made?
Be proud,, the most bad-as table EVER 🤜🏽❤️

The 1941 Krieghoff you showed has a straw mag release versus the fire blue
Very informative and entertaining video! Thank you!
great video thanks
very epic, thanks Tom!!!
wow, i would love to ask you a question. i got a luger from an estate sale, it has horn or bone handles are those aftermarket or something unique.
Definitely after market. Enjoy. !
I have a C-96 pre WW1 can you do more on this ?

Ronsonol lighter fluid may take the sticker residue off without harming the leather. Try it on something other than a Krieghoff holster.
Can also try medium heat to warm the residue then dab the spot with sticky side of duct tape to pull the residue off....
Great documentation, I just had the pleasure to shoot a 1937
That's what I own, my 37 is beautiful and always gets a lot of looks when taken out

Hola buenas noches, desde España, están en venta, si pueden responderme, cual es su precio, gracias

In his next video Tom will attempt to escape from a room constructed entirely of Lugers :-)
It would be a shame if one of those disappeared and found itself in my safe.
Did that really fancy one belong to the lady’s auxiliary?

sorry, the shop is called The Steffen collection 627 First street Benicia. I was mixing it up with another shop
I heared much about these beautiful and interesting guns but...which one is the most desireable..?
I don't think any more detail can be added.
Muito obrigado!
What about Simson Suhl Lugers?
nice
One critique: Next time, when you say “grab a drink”....I am going to need more time than just a piece of a second to get my drink!
Of course I am kidding!
Note the lack of any fire blue on the 1941.
Also, serial number is out of sequence.
very educational. i need to buy a luger .........
Great job! From #8859.

Didn’t these primarily go to the german paratroopers?

Does anyone know if they make p08 reproductions in 9mm
Mauser made "2nd generation" lugers in the 60's and 70's. They are available from time to time.
I may have one on my website right now.
