GPD's great at sending replacement parts. Just email a pic or video of the part that is broken and they'll send you it, in some cases, even if your device is outside of warranty. I know someone that got a screen replacement for free after the warranty period. But, I only recommend these devices for people who feel comfortable with opening the device yourself as shipping the device in for repair can get expensive and takes forever to get back. I've heard stories of devices not even getting repaired and users having to send it back again.
I had a motherboard failure on an Ayaneo Slide, the screen failed and after their troubleshooting methods suspecting a static issue didn’t resolve my problems they paid for my return and fix. It is not a straight forward process and it took a total of 3 and half months from broken to working.
Dang that’s some bad luck, but glad they took care of it even if it felt like it took forever. Are you happy with the outcome? I’m assuming that’s not your only handheld?
@ i sold the handheld after because it had lost its appeal, plus those switch style sticks man 😩 I’m now using a FEVM 8845hs mini pc with a 4070 ti super oculink egpu. I feel like I’ve burnt myself out with handhelds at least for a few generations, I do however have the pocket evo retro on pre order with a view to stream from my pc. I spend a lot of my spare time watching people’s reviews in search for the next big thing, but it’s becoming exhausting. I do appreciate your style of content though, very straight talking 👍 you’ve got my sub mate
I hope your channel blows up bro, need more honest people like yourself on UA-cam
Thank you, we’ll keep trying. These videos are hard to get any traction since so few people get GPD devices but we’ll keep kicking!
Thanks for sharing this experience!
Thanks for watching!

Excellent video.....how do you clean fan this device?
It just get dust and stuff stuck in the back and I used air duster to blow it out, but by then the bearing was already bad and needed replaced
