The original Go is 780m and the prototype for the legion go 2 said 780m that’s why I was concerned. Still plenty of time for that to change yet

My opinion might change when I get hands on here in February but then the legion go is on sale sub 650 or even lower is great. And then you can find open box ally x for 620 at Best Buy sometimes here in the states is wildly good

But I also think legion go 2 will be before summer at least I’m hopeful lol

I'm good. My expensive Asus g14 gaming laptop just died on me within 3 years. I got a Legion Go for sale at $479. That is much better value to me. I can still play most of my games.

I fully agree with this. I just think waiting a few months might make more sense with it be $230 dollars less. Unless you really prefer the white.

@ on the prototype that’s what was listed, now it’s completely possible that changes and I change my tune completely but if I was Lenovo I would have just put “NA” until you actually decided or later down the road.

That's a weird argument dude, you would be playing in 4k on a 5080. Nvidia is charging premium prices and they're skimping on cheap ram just to shorten the cards lifespans. A 3080/3080ti are not that old the ram on them shouldn't have to even be a point of concern for the consumer at all for what they cost, much less on a brand new card like the 5070ti. A 5080 will probably have enough but still its a $1000 it should have 20gb at least.

Legion go s windows model too expensive for such a trimmed down chip, cutting the resolution on the legion go 2 and running a old gen GPU is disappointing, battery underwhelming to size(efficiency will help) and it’s 100 grams heavier. Now price point could change all of this but just from what was released that’s my reaction. It could completely change with real world testing

I was hoping for a 99watt battery (they could do it) I was hoping same resolution, higher than 500 nits brightness. Not 1000 grams, and not the same GPU solution as the original when there’s a new one out.

@joystickayrton yeah I'm a truck driver and traditional pc player so while I like my LEGO I hate using a controller. I ended up using my Go as a tablet and carried a mouse and keyboard around with me. At that point I might as well have a laptop so yeah I came to my senses I guess lol. Depending on how good the Go 2 is, I may pick it up as well, though. idk yet.

Yeah the affordable chip is 729 for windows with what’s gunna be worse performance than the original legion go that was just on sale for 550 brand new lol

And I the extra 8gb of vram on the claw is nice too

Ally X is an amazing device don’t get me wrong and I enjoyed my time with it but I just like a slightly bigger screen specially when I used to have a Deck Oled but lost in my travels. Wish I would have put a tracking device :/ I like your vids and like you use our tech Jesus as inspiration for the channel. Keep it up got my like and subscribe !

@@Justin-dp7pg well by higher, i mean stay with 1600 instead of the dropdown to 1200 and hope the Z2 can help a bit, but OLED alone is a massive difference.

Yeah I absolutely love OLED that’s why i still have my deck but I really not a big fan of the 7 inch screen anymore

@@joystickayrton agreed. I really can’t stand the ROG Ally X because of the screen size. As far as the Go 2 I can deal with the 1200p downgrade to save some money but 500 nits is not bright enough for OLED in my opinion. You really need a bright screen to make the deep blacks and vivid colors stand out. Also, they are using a 2242 drive again which in mind boggling. They fit a full size 2280 in the Ally X but Lenovo’s engineers could manage to fit it in the massive Legion Go 2?!?

I agree battery life efficiency those are going to be awesome regardless. I’m holding my hopes up high for it too. Just from what was talked about at CES I think it could be better but right price killer performance I’m more than happy for this to be an L when they launch lol thanks for watching!

Wait, what????? 500 nits for OLED?!? Usually OLED is 800 to 1000 nits because the display is darker and more saturated. Absolutely absurd!

the reduced resolution and lower nits are to increase battery life.

@ yeah, they don’t need to make that decision for me. Make the panel 1000nits and I’ll decide on the brightness. Makes me want to go back to Steamdeck where you can get a bright, vivid screen. Not a dark OLED panel.

Of course they could put in a 1600p, 1000 nits vrr oled, a 99wh battery, 4tb hdd, 64gb ram, amazing speakers, buttons... But then the device would have been 2000 bucks.

I never said anything was fact, I very much said it’s opinion based and that if the price is good it makes my entire argument irrelevant. Also most of my info was directly from Lenovos website lol

@@joystickayrton Actually light flickering can be fixed with your camera settings. Depending on what you are shooting on, adjust your frame rate or shutter speed so it is less in phase with the refresh of your lights.

Same here, all I wanted was OLED, a big battery, and better ergonomics. Super disappointed with the "prototype" announcement though. EDIT: just read about the 500 knits of brightness, I hope it's enough

8.8 OLED screen with HDR 32 GB of RAM, a bigger battery with better speakers, and a slightly better video card. For $600
