    Youve done a LOT so far Lewis. Been there, got the tee shirt! Ive done 2 houses about that same age. In the cases where i was involved, i got SO tired of just pullin nails, and thats the easy part! The only difference, i was livin in the houses while renovating. Trust me, plaster dust gets in, and on everything! Thanks for sharing the video. Made me remember the statement i made when my last house was finished......NEVER AGAIN!

    The old lathe and plaster and that old blown in insulation--brings back some memories--made me want to jump in the shower and wash off after seeing that. LOL--Still looks like a fun project though. Keep up the good work. Enjoyed as always, Dave.

    When I was stationed in Chatham NB at the air base, one of the fellows on base helped a local renovate an old house in Douglastown, and I got to help with the demo. We foundaround three layers of old magazines and newspapers under the old linoleum floors. Knowing how much fun it was making all the discoveries we found, I hope you guys experience a few yourselves on this job!

    It makes me tired just watching all the work you’re doing in that house, Lewis. Believe it or not I can actually remember, but just barely, having the energy to do that kind of thing. Must’ve been when I was a young fella like you! You are making this interesting. 👍👍👍
    Take care,
    .....Gord

    Great to see a job done properly. Lots of potential. Just remember to install some empty plastic pipes for network, tv etc. now that the walls are all open. It's easier now than later where you have to go fishing for cables inside the insulation. I know that it's an old house, but modern installations can be made almost stealthy and out of sight. Keep up the good work here as well as on the lathe. I enjoy the videos.

      Thanks Wendy! Where it is so dusty I thought it best to just show some stages. It certainly could have been much longer!

    You have quite a bit of work done! The house itself looks like it's got a good framing! Hopefully all the mails from the lath and plaster are easy to pull to! Thanks for taking the time to film and post the video!

    Hey Lewis, making some progress i see. One question though, aren’t you gonna try to keep some of that wood and use it in a future project? Depends of the state of the wood, it surely can make nice segmented or laminated projects.

    • @TheKlondikeCraftsman
      @TheKlondikeCraftsman  3 роки тому +1

      It’s all softwood, full of nails, nail holes and plaster grit. Nothing useful here Japie. Thanks for watching buddy
