Yes i know that's young in European terms, but in American its established towns back then and in later 1700s

You have taken a stunning ancient farmhouse, and stripped out all the character and charm. You've now got a concrete and steel monstrosity, with zero charm, zero character,. You've used cement (not lime) on the stone so you'll have serious damp issues and you'll be cold. It would have stood for hundreds of years if you've used old techniques and appropriate materials. Well done. Way to go to ruin an old building. People like you don't deserve these properties. Just build a new modern box next time and leave the ancient stuff alone. 😞

As an architect, I feel sorry for the ancient details that have been destroyed by you.
I was thinking the same thing.
I am impressed, what a beautiful home ya'll created, kudos to you,
What an amazing place. Wow, I am so impressed. Please come and rebuild my poor 1960's bungalow. Id love to see your inspirational ideas. Much respect from Scotland x
I wonder if the original builders were like, "Wow, building with stones is so state-of-the-art."
When you have good masonry as a skeleton structure, then you are halfway there, that rockwork looks great still, i also live/own a farmhouse that was built in 1830s and in my state a historical landmark. Yes i know that's young in European terms, but in American its established towns back then and in later 1700s
Wow! You have to be one of the best master craftsman around. Kudos to you and your wife. What a beautiful place you have created!!!
Fully agree, the most significant mistake is new roof… what an indolence and a shame!!!
I knew this was going to painful the moment the old beam-joists became firewood
WOW just WOW. I am in love with this home. Absolutely stunning. I thought our barn conversion was tough but it looks like a walk in the park compared to what you have done. Just beautiful
You are so persistent and talented! The transformation of the farm over 3 years is truly incredible. I really admire your spirit and hard work!
I absolutely love the mix of modern and old building style, that barn is art 👍
Incredibly amazing, what a transformation of old to new and beautiful.
Wow, you must be so proud of yourselves! You can tell it was for sure a labour of love and it turned out amazing. Congratulations and all the best in your new home 🩷
Unreal level build. Herculean effort from you and your lady. ❤❤❤
