Nice work Lewis. I found a jar in a wall one time with a note talking about building the house signed by the guy who built the house dated 1890 I added a note to the jar and put it back in the wall

Lots of work Lewis! Looks really good so far. I am doing a 100 year old garage to studio conversion. Lots of square nails. Man those things really hold, even after a century. They really don't build like they used to. Great to see you preserving the old structure.

Had to rebuild a good bit of my first house. Found a newspaper in one wall we took out that talked about Micky Mantel's record breaking home run of last night's game. Took out a lot of knob an tube. Was a lot of work but rewarding when complete.
That is very cool! They did have the knob and tube out of this one but the wiring was still not cool so it will be completely new along with everything else. The last one of these I did had knob and tube though. Amazing more of them didn’t burn really! I appreciate you watching Linda

My barn is much newer than the my house. The barn was built in 1910 and the house was built in the 1800s. Seems like every year we are updating something with the house.
Yes you can either take it to bare bones and be done or do it bit by bit. Since the kids have time an a place to stay we went with the short term pain. Thanks for watching Byron, I appreciate it!.
