We just did 35's on our 4R and love the stance and profile of it. Going to work on flex this weekend and adjusting the little things to get full clearance without removing to much stuff hopefully lol. I've seen Chris Hefty's 4Runner on 37's and it's pretty awesome but I know like yours it takes a lot of extra work to clear them for wheeling properly.
I put my 37X13.5 inch spare on a 4runner with a 6 inch pro comp lift. No rubbing if the window washer reservoir relocated, run +4 caster on the alignment and small trim of the front fender plastic. My wheels are 17X8.5 - 6 mm offset. Hope this helps
How do you like the combination of 37s and those Icons? I'm on 35s and would like a full Icon setup, only running icon long travel in the rear for now. Thanks.

Cut the firewall near the body mounts and moved it back (away from the front tires) by 1.5 inches. Used a local speed shop to do the firewall work - those folks tub wheel wells all the time. 37X12.5X17 BF Goodrich KM3 tires in the video. Replaced them last month with a slightly larger set of 37X13.5X17 KM3s, had 30,000 miles on the 37X12.5X17 tires
@@svennorman9138 for the rear, any cutting? How well do the 37's stuff? I just ordered my Marlin RCLT kit, going full LT front and back, 4.88's all around. My concern is clearance in the rear, any advice? I wheel twice a year at Barnwell, living in Frisco TX.
@@mfuent1337 You have to set the bump stops in the rear to keep the tires from going too deep in the wheel wells. I am now running 37X13.5 and they rub little more than the 12.5s did. All the plastic is gone in the rear wheel wells except for a small piece covering the gas tank fill line. Had to trim a little off my shrockworks rear bumper. Chris Hefty moved his rear axle back using a longer drive shaft (with 37s) - I have thought about moving the rear axle back with Marlin Crawler to get 40s. I am going to Jamboree - look me up
Still the stock steering rack! Bent a bunch of tie rods and broke 4 OEM axles. Waiting for the steering rack to fail then upgrade to Tundra or Landcruiser rack. Planning on going off-roading with friends at Stillwater Ranch in Llano on Dec 16 - always a good time
Rubbed one boot raw/slight grease leak so that axle is now my field spare axle. Wrecked one cv axle off road when I high centered the rear wheels and still had the front locker on, promptly broke the drivers side cv axle.
Thanks for putting this together. Those PIAA's look too small given the massive tires :) You should do a walk around video next to show the overall stance on flat ground. Nice rig!

Do I need to cut my front pumper to fit 37s? Even if I was on a 6.5 inch lift?

Moving the caster 4.1+ gave you room to clear the back wheel well?
When it doubt caster it out

Got to be over $20k

yeah, had a gift card to 4wps and could find anything else to buy other than the PIAAs
Did you notice any acceleration or top speed decreases?
Not sure about top speed decrease. Running 4.56 gears, the vehicle is slower for sure
Good looking Dobs LT
Selling the original front bumper by chance?
Sorry, went from stock to SSO to Shrockworks on the front. Stock front bumper taken off in March of 2018 - already gone.
wait, do you not run a BL?
No body lift, would look really bad, would be gaps between bumpers and body
