- The Insta360 One X2 has been out for a while now, but just how much of an upgrade is it from the original One X? Should you upgrade from the One X to the One X2, and if you're looking at buying either one, which one is the right one for you? I cover everything in this video from design to features to quality and give you my answers on the above.

Which one are you getting!?
Definitely the One X2!
Good ol' Soton!
I got both and I actually love the One X a lot better. It has much lower weight and makes it far easier to attach to any selfie stick. Makes carrying it on long hikes far more practical. And battery life keeps getting better each year. They have 1500 mAh now. The extra color screen on the X2 doesn't really do anything we needed. And drives the cost way up.
Wait so you can buy the batteries of the new Version and get almost the same recording time?
If that’s the case im buying the one X beca i found a used one for a really good price
@@hamodekhatib625 I just got an X3 and it definitely isn't back compatible with X2 and One X. Although I'm not 100% certain, having looked at them both, id it's a pretty safe bet their batteries are interchangeable.
I know how to get 4 hours continuous filming with the one x. Using an external battery. There is a trick to it. I will make a vid about it soon.
Super awesome video, I’m looking for a 360 cam for this coming snowboarding season, think you helped make my decision
I want to ask you a question? can oneX's lenses replace oneX2's? I don't know if their outer glass is the same?
I agree with the battery issues on the One X - mine loses charge just sitting idle. I do like that the X2 is charged vis USB C vs micro USB. Not sure it's worth the upgrade cost.
Yeah USB c is so much more convenient! Depends on what you need, might be worth investing in a couple more batteries if you’re happy with the regular One X!
A good reason to get the X2 that I haven't seen on UA-cam is has a much better screen. I have 20/20 vision but need reading glasses. I lost a major video recording because I had the wrong settings. An airplane crash the camera was filming one side & out from the aircraft. I don't fly with reading glasses. So well worth the price to have that red banner on bottom.
Regarding the Insta360 One X2 I don't know why very few talk about the poor quality of 360 videos when we export them with Insta360 Studio. These exports are necessary because this program won't let you join multiple clips and you need other video editing programs, such as Final Cut or Adobe premier, to do so. Even if you work with a single clip the vision inside Insta360 studio is good, but as soon as you export it, regardless of the format (H.264, H.265, ProRes422) the image comes out blurry and flickering. If you disable 'use hardware encoder/decoder' in settings, as some advise, it improves somewhat but is still unacceptable.
Just bought the One X2. Does NOT have any way to upload video or time lapse to Google Street View with the new app but the One X with the old app does. New camera with same sensors and less features. Progress?
Great video Chris.. can I just ask... whilst taking photo’s using the invisible stick do I still keep the one X straight down or do I lift it up too face the object?
It doesn't matter. You still get a spherical video or photo no matter of the position.
thanks
I have a choice to make - purchase onex2 for 480 euros (no accessories) or used one x with stick and dive case for 250. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Which option did you end up going with? I'm in the exact same predicament right now!
@@23GOOOFYlol same here
You forgot an important point. The battery drains on its own if it remains stored in the One X when it is switched off. With version 2, this energy loss problem has been solved.
Do the accessories for the one x fix the one x2??
Thx
The "feh feh, feh feh feh feh" cracked me up hahaha
Where can I find the one x?
