If u have the time for it its nice, for regular shots I´d still opt for a GoPro Hero 9 instead. But there certainly are shots which look cool with 360 cams
Great job explaining the 360 process. It does take a little more time but it’s worth it. Keep in mind a 360 camera is just one of the tools in the camera tool box.
in the work flow, what I wish were possible is to be able to "save off" the clip, renaming it after you have edited to truly save it. YES i love the aspect that you can go back and reframe/re-edit on the same clip but as soon as I go and overlap some part of the clip I exported already, I likely had deleted some framing element or adjusted something on the original. If I could edit/frame and name it/save it leaving the original as was I think I would be more comfortable, yes it would take up even more space etc. Thoughts?
@@DavidManningvlog with the idea of hitting a clip multiple times and taking advantage of the 360, having a "clean" version to always go back to would be great, love the channel, learning a lot and thanks for the cool t-shirts

Once you used deep track, can you switch to linear mode or tiny planet? I haven't found a way to switch the zoom afterwards and end up starting over. Personally since we use the camera for a cooking show (yes because setting up multiple cameras is hard for my wife) we typically just use static points and linear mode most of the time with just a few pans when we are trying to show off the food or ingredients.
Hey David you convinced me, I went to the store yesterday and bought the one x2 to replace my good old Hero 7 black (which I also bought after watching your videos back in the day). Can you save the raw 360 file to a harddrive and revisit the clips later after removing from camera card? Or is the reframed shot the only version you will have moving forward?
Yes! Even if I do the reframing on my phone, I always transfer the 360 files to my computer to save for later. You can always access those files in the future and reframe how you would like!
Very informative.. subd 🙌🏻 The coolest thing is one need not frame the shot and stay in the moment and do it afterwards as it records everything. I've one question Does resolution makes any difference?
Great point and yes, resolution is lower with 360 cameras in general! The ONE X has 5.7K, but that’s the entire 360 view that’s 5.7K, so when you reframe the shot and export, you can get up to 1440p. But all of the 1440p files go into Premiere Pro and then I size them to my timeline and export at 4K👍

It would be life changing if I can achieve that without buying a new camera.
