Awesome tutorial :) helped me get the proportions right, I added some ultramarine blue pigment to it and it worked really well to make the foundation more neutral without being grey like before (was also putting too much red in before).
Well done Shelby for experimenting! Cool for using blue pigment! Wow! Great idea! I am super excited you like the tutorial! What other homemade products have you made?
Refined Look super ideea
I really don't have those things at home.😐😐😐😐😐
Please where did you find the blue pigment?

De unde pot cumpa din Romania produsele? Trebuie sa incerc! Multumesc pentru acest canal8!
What can I use instead of Shea butter ? And I love your videos ❤️😉
you can use any oil or butter that is for the skin... thank you ...I am sooo glad you like them
Lovely
Thank you for the wonderful and simple video, but don't we use a preservative and how long is the validity of the foundation? And if I want to darken the color, add the red color, more than I follow you from Iraq and I live in Malaysia
What an interesting video
What preservative material i can add to make it traditional ♥️
Good video idea!
hi Eva..thanks!
Thanks for this video! I've ordered the ingredients I'm missing and will be trying it tomorrow. Does it need time to set or can I test it straight away?
yo can test it straight away. enjoy
where did you find the ingredients?
Thanks for sharing, Should i add more red to get a darker shade?
I would add cocoa powder or, like she said, a brown iron oxide for deeper tones
Which ingredients help for more coverage?
What colour should i put for brown skin? Thanks
Would this recipe work with turmeric and red paprika powder instead of the oxides but mixed with the zinc?
Lovely smile
Who's in 2020 watching this in quarantine because their bored
ha ha ha...me checking messages 😃
Whos in 2023
which preservative we use for this formulation please reply
omg tysm
Excuse me, as you are taking shea butter and jojoba oil which are oily in nature so is it can still apply on oily skin too please reply.
I saw your video foundation making it is very good. What is the shelf life of making foundation bu your way
for me it doesn't expire as the ingredients I use have very long shelf life...never had any problems...it is by far the best foundation I ever had....never bought commercial again...hope this helps
Hi is this okay for business? And can you make more shades please?
Does it have any coverage ?
How long can I store it for? Room temperature or doesnt it matter?
pentru anticearcan este ceva bio ?
I do not have all those fancy ingredients at home. thanks for the video though. it looks like really good makeup
try finding them online...they are really not fancy. ebay, amazon always have them. they are inexpensive and last a very long time
HELLO! Can you please tell me where from you bought all the ingredients ? thank you!
Oh Tania, I am sorry I only saw this now...I bought the ingredients online...ebay should have them
This seems really great! But how is the coverage? I can’t really see well
it covers really well!!! You can make it thicker for more coverage or thinner for less,,,depends what you are looking for...
Refined Look okay, thank you so much 😊
My foundation came out very dark, I added wrong amount of red, can I do something to make it lighter? I hope you answer. Thanks
Good morning madam, work well-done this is great ,l love it. please ma the red and yellow iron oxide is the same as the red and yellow iron oxide for painting? . I mean for painting of house please ma reply thanks.
...it has to be cosmetic grade!
@@RefinedLook okay thank you ma
What other homemade recipes would you be interested in???
Mineral loose powder that really covers and very smooth and wont cake and long lasting
Refined Look a waterproof body foundation 🙂
Eyeshadows please both pigmented and mat that is long lasting
What about preservatives? Can you please tell me about that?
Is the zinc oxide a thing that use for problem kid skin?
Zinc oxide is a white mineral powder that doesn't dissolve in water. It's one of the key ingredients in sunscreens and is also often used for first-aid tapes and ointments. Zinc oxide is widely used to treat a wide range of skin conditions, including dermatitis, itching due to eczema, nappy rash and acne....this is some info I just pasted for you...hope this helps...
What will be it's expire date? How long we can use it?
it depends on the expiry date of your ingredients and how you take out the foundation. . I have used mine until it ran out and made another one...that meant many months...
would that need a preservative?
hi. no because all the ingredients have a long shelf life and we don't use water or anything like that. The foundation is really long lasting. I have used only this homemade foundation for years....never bought commercial one again...I looooove it so much. Hope you'll try it, too.
What does light or dark skin depend on? I mean which content we depend on to make skin more light or more dark? And how we can store it for a long time
hi,
add more zinc oxide for lighter colour and yellow and red for darker...you just neeed to experiment and you will learn your own shade...hope this helps
Hi Gabriella ..please tell me how many spoons for 2.5 of shea butter ?
Thank you ..
if you want to make it thicker add more or less is you want the foundation runnier...there is really no rule, try and see how you like it!
Can you use another carrier oil like grapeseed
yes, yes, any oil that suits you
Can i use this under my eyes
Where can i buy an iron oxide?
What can I use to substitiute oil? I already have an oily face, thank you.
i have an oily face too and they're honestly not bad for our types, they help balance the oils we produce, i would suggest you read a bit about how jojoba or mosqueta rose oils work on oily faces, and maybe taste on your skin. I started a week ago and i already notice a difference :)
Jojoba oil is very very light and it doesn't leave oily skin.... have you tried it??? If not any oil or skin butter that suits you skin...hope that helps
hi could you use mineral powder foundation for this instead of the oxides?
sure try it...the beauty of homemade is that you can experiment and see what you like and suits you the best...
Which ones are safe iron oxides or mineral powder.?? N I fear if the skin turns dark using iron oxide!!
how do i match it to darker skin tones?
Where can I get these ingredients?
How do I make it darker and if possible how do I make for all skin tones ?
Use Brown iron oxide
Can I replace jojoba oil with aloe vera axtract?
you can replace it with any face oil that you like...aloe vera liquid...hm interesting idea...you can try...that os the beauty of homemade: experiment...all the best
You’re beautiful !
Thank you!!
Hi can i know the shelf life plss..?
Can i replace iron oxide for turmeric and beetroot powder?
i was wondering the same thing, going to try with arrowroot turmeric and beetroot powders. will also try with dry powder blend of arrowroot nutmeg cacao
Unfortunately, I do not have red oxide. Is it okay for me to use beetroot powder instead?
Beets lean purple, not the same color as the iron
Would it just be white without the yelloe and red?
yes
How long will shelf life be???
the ingredients I use have very long shelf life....so it lasts a very long time...i run out before it expires
Will red and yellow oxide work for a medium brown complexion? Thanks for the upload.
hi...it might work...yes...if it still doesn't match as you wish add some brown or black (they are very strong so add a tiny bit at a time then check colour!)...I hope this helps...and enjoy! : )
Refined Look thanks! Please show us how make a simple concealer and bb cream for oily skin.
Can we use something else instead of non nano zinc oxide
nothing that I know of....sorry....
Titanium oxide is the alternative and it covers better
arrowroot turmeric cacao nutmeg beetroot...all natural and actual healthy alternatives
Is this water proof
How many months you can use
hi....I use mine until it runs out...all these ingredients last a looong time...
@@RefinedLook a year can use can it be?
hi how long it shelf life
hi all my ingredients have a very long shelf life, so the combination of them has the same (check your ingredients to see)...I don't make too much of a batch of foundation, as you can see, but it lasts me more than 6 months and it was all fine...I hope that helps ;)
thanks alot for answering its g00d f0r 0ily skin?and it cover skin full??
@@shkafs2555 yes, for all types...you can add more oil for dry skin and less for oily skin. you can set it with powder if needed. yes, it covers very well...i personally stopped using commercial foundation since I made this a long time ago. I looove it so much
you are the best thanks alot please make other cosmetic like mascara
This recipe works for oil skin??
I have an oily skin myself...jojoba oil is very light and doesn't leave an oily face...also use a powder to set the foundation ....
@@RefinedLook thank u ❤️
@@RefinedLook is it waterproof
You are so cute your face like a pink rose 🤗🤗
Big like 26 super! 🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔 I want to see every video!!!!!
Hi sister,
You are using sheia butter, but according to my experience sheia butt giving bad smell after some time
I can’t use an oil base
hi...if you want a water base (I think this is the alternative you have in mind) you need strong preservatives to make sure it doesn't grow bacteria...
I'm 10 and watching this because my mom doesn't want to get me foundation😂😂
Crema hidratanta?
e pe lista si asta :)
Hi I need more explanation for this video...how to make this quantity 20ml for one bottle?what I need to add more
you can scale this up or down....just add the ingredients slowly until you get the desired colour and consistence....hope that helps....
Nice but We need recipe amount of each ingrédients...
Where is the conservator?
what do you mean?
Can I use cornstarch instead of zinc oxide?
...i wouldn't use it in my face...but the beauty of homemade is that you an experiment
...
yes. or arrowroot.
Noo not another one I can’t do :(
Mam how make dark skin makeup for black people
try looking for brown iron oxide or even black and add a little at the time until you have the right shade :)
Essential oil can be irritating to the skin...
if I add only a few drops....i find that is never irritating....
yeah when you add too much. but a few drops are great for your skin and makes it glow.
Are you using your own Fundation ?
Hiii madam yellow iron oxide & red iron oxide give C.I.Number or grade number plz
Should we wash our face after 2 hours because zinc oxide becomes toxic? I was happy to find this safe foundation and it was great the first time I made it and I love it. But I did research on zinc oxide and found that it was not as safe as I thought it would be. May I know your opinion and any suggestions for me please? 😊❤️
where did you hear this? zinc oxide is in almost every skincare and makeup product if you check the ingredient.
that does not mean its safe@@Lily-ex4ip
I don't have those things at home
oh....sorry...this is an amazing foundation...I've never bought commercial one anymore since I made it myself...it is worth buying the ingredients...
Bizarre... the cream is yellow end becomes beige afterwards..I dis exactly the same tutorial and guess what? my foundation is yellow!
add more red iron oxide and more zinc oxide ....this should work ...and always add a little at a time...hope this helps
This kind of diy doesn't work, because the cream can't stay on skin. Something that helps the cream stick to the skin is missing.
beeswax maybe, is a super emulsfier
This is missing a lot of context. You encourage us to keep mixing colors until it matches our skin tone.... how to know? You rub the powder on your skin first? Also, how does this work for coverage, how long does it last? Does it work for dark circles? Please, remove the music next time as it's hard to concentrate on your words.
Yeahd yhis is great and all but who actually has this at home??
the ingredients are easy to find and inexpensive. ebay, amazon...I never bought a commercial foundation again...It is so easy to make one...incredible!
Do u really have to measure everything???
hi..no...not really...and most likely you have a different tone to your skin...just add the ingredients slowly and test....it might help to keep evidence to help with next batch...
Are you married mam??
You talk so slow
