Great video like always, just a question: when showing the two color samples (coated + uncoated) - have the 2 the same percentage of the different colors (yellow, red, Titanium Dioxide)? Because the two results look different in color: the uncoated look way more rosy / pink than the other! Or is it just my eyes??
Yes I used exactly the same % inputs in my examples - the coating makes a BIG difference!!! Hope this helps happy formulating!
bare in mind that in the first example, there are still plenty of undiluted pigments. So the colour is still not completely done

Do you have a video on how to mix normal mica or oxides? I have been taught to use mortar & pestle and putting in ziplock bag. It's very time consuming, i wonder if there is a tool or hand mixer to do that?
In a lab size, use a coffee grinder if they are uncoated oxides. Mortar and pestle is not sufficient. Hope this helps.

What is the name if the coated iron oxides again? Phytic iron oxide? I am sending a pigment chart to help create a variety of skin colors, do the check ated oxides come in more colors? thanks?

Can you adjust the colours at the end, if so does that mean we can add the colours as the last step ?
With the phytic acid coated materials yes you can - but not if it is not a coated iron oxide, it would then need to be added in the oil phase.

There are a few ways to broaden your searches for raw materials:

Is it waterproof?
It is long wearing but does not have a film forming agent in it to make it waterproof. Happy formulating!
Can I use bentonite clay and xantan gum and mix it together? I cant buy vanatural XGB where I live unfortunately...
Yes you can - I don’t have the exact % breakdown of each so just play with it to get the right viscosity and stability build. Happy formulating!
