I am just completely baffled how at no point this guy didn't think "this might not be a good idea". The fact they offered this procedure for free, the crappy looking cabin that did not even remotely look like a medical facility where you'd want to be operated upon. Then there is the lack of a surgical bed even, and to top it all off you hear people talking about cannibalism right before you go under the knife. This leaves me feeling that the maiming wasn't the true tragic part of this story, but that this young person completely lacked any common sense or even a basic instinct for survival. That is honestly the most horrifying part of all of this.
I was thinking the same thing. He has to be suffering from some type of mental illness. He could've been killed and no one would know and I'm sure the police woulda never even looked for him. They'd say he's and adult and can Walk away anytime. His common sense isn't even there like u said or sense of danger. No red flags didn't even register. I hope he's getting the help he needs. Where's his family..

The operation would not have been done in any legitimate clinic, and the risk and danger may likely have been part of his fetish. Late to the party but when I had plastic surgery in a very tiny private hospital the workers told me how many females they had to operate on to fix their breasts from illegal surgeries done in apartments by unlicensed "surgeons". They said the infections were a big concern because you cannot disinfect a room well enough in an small apartment to perform surgeries. Illegal surgeries are more common than you think.

Especially because not all religions require it. For example, the three Abrahamic religions (Islam, Christianity, Judaism) require burial of dead humans but Hinduism, a much older religion, requires cremation of dead humans.
I would figure more "failure to properly dispose of human tissue/biological waste" maybe. Because hospitals damn sure don't bury human members that have been removed. I believe they cremate everything.

Actually, these are more common than you'd think in the gay/trans community. Especially in the USA where trans surgeries etc is extremely expensive/uncovered. People will travel to Mexico, Asia etc to get them done. They'll go to the er afterwards if there's problems which is cheaper. Very sad.
I'm guessing in certain circles of the trans community they were known. Crimes against people in the community, often go unnoticed. If there is a huge line of victims, you won't hear anything. They'll set up shop somewhere else. They got really light sentences. Nothing on the pc? Very interesting. If there's an update, I'd love to hear it. Cheers
As a veterinary technician/assistant I can tell you that between cats and dogs neutering is hugely different (dogs being much more involved) so I imagine humans are even more complicated. There is one main artery in each testicle and if you don't tie it off or stitch it closed it will bleed you dead.

Ah, the Testicle Twins! These guys were only about 15 miles from where I live. Their neighbors said they would hear screaming coming from the cabin followed by loud classical music, I suppose to cover the screams. They also had a booth at our local fair where they sold meatballs. Yeah, meatballs.

I'm very glad my nullo friends had access to surgery/medical care via a great plastic surgeon (they both went to the same surgeon, a non-gender specific one though one of the local gender clinics is starting to offer it). Nullofication is a fetish for some, gender confirming for others, or a combination of both, among probably other reasons. It's currently a very small community so there isn't that many plastic surgeons and insurances aware of the needs of that community and cover their care. It'd be good to approach these subjects with more understanding and research on what language to use and how to talk about it, though again small community -- I'm def still learning. Both of my friends use he pronouns and present/pass as men; one identifies as non-binary, they other I'm not sure. The language around gender/sex is still evolving particularly around the subset of trans folk that mostly just change their sexual characteristics (e.g. a facebook friend got a vaginoplasty, but was assigned M at birth and identifies as a man tmk), though there's some language around all that but don't think it's commonly used/accepted.
