    I would do anything for my daughter, but it’s cases like this that I make her do chores in order to get an allowance and teach her the value of money. I want to give her all the things I never had as a child but I don’t want her to grow up an ungrateful little shit like the Hruby kid.

    • @Walamonga1313

    • @jeffcampbell1555

      Good job, dude. Parents that spoil their kids do them such a disservice: The kids tend to measure happiness by an oversupply of money, things, attention, and having their way. But because it all falls into their lap, they can't really appreciate it. Many have no frustration tolerance, so if the world fails to deliver what they want, anger and resentment follow. Adversity is unknown, so many spoiled kids interpret it as persecution. How can this lifestyle lead to fulfillment, empathy and a sense of belonging?

    • @Jolenesmart1980
      @Jolenesmart1980 3 роки тому +12

      Totally ! And teach her how to support herself cooking wise - so many kids these days don’t have a clue about cooking or rent or anything tbh - if I kid can’t cook a full roast and lots of meals at 18 it’s ridiculous

      @@amazingsupergirl7125 That’s all well and good but my daughter is 13 and lives in a country where children under 15 are restricted to their homes because of Covid. I’m teaching her responsibility and the importance of saving. When she is old enough and able she will get a job but until then I will continue to give her money for performing chores. We have a live in maid but I purposely wish for my daughter to pick up after herself as it teaches her self reliance. I choose to compensate her with a token amount of money ($6 AUD per week) that goes straight into her bank account in order to incentivise her and to teach her how to save and to help her make a little nest egg for when she gets older. What we do works for my family.

    His sister was good friends with my sister. She stayed the night at our house several times. We all went to the same elementary school then the same high school. Knew he was weird so was kinda surpised, but not overly surprised. Rip to Katherine and Mr and Mrs Ruby. They were good people.

    I knew this family and was devastated when the murders happened. My daughter went to school with Katherine and briefly Alan. The effed up part is that while his family was a very comfortable middle class, they weren't "rich" by most definitions. The grandmother was well off, so any inheritance would have likely trickled down through her. I don't think he was going to pocket nearly what he was anticipating when he cooked this garbage up. Like you said, nobody said he was smart.
    You should look into the Chris Lane murder and Alyssa Wiles murder both in the same town. I'm glad to be out of there tbh.

      Things like this happen, or have happened, in like every single town and city across this country. It isn't the town that is the problem- it is humanity, and how selfish, greedy, narcissistic, foolish and ignorant people have become, while also not maintaining an ounce of empathy, dignity, self-respect, respect for others, good morals or values. So, there really isn't any getting away from the issue as long as you are on this Earth.

      @@Mischa21xoshe wasn't blameing the town. I live in Duncan and can tell you that a lot of crimes that happen here aren't normally murders...chris lane and Alyssa wyles (i went to school with her) happened i think within the same year, then this case happened, then a case about a man getting killed and left on thr train tracks, the a man gets killed at a convenience store near my house, then a man beat a child to death in a apparment complex not that far from me. Those crimes all happened years after the first three. 2020 to i think the last one happened on 2022 or 21 idk those years kind of all blended together for me. Anyway Duncan crimes tend to stay in the petty one theft, drugs that kind of thing, but trust me when we get a murder...it gets solved and no one talks about it anymore unless you live there. We're a quiet town that hardly anything happens in...literally nothing happens here.

    As someone who already suffers from horrible PTSD, caused by years of bullying and being beat to a pulp almost every single day, for daring to come out as gay in high school in the late 1970's, I can only imagine what that poor woman, the maid apparently, has to deal with on a daily basis, after finding the bodies of her employers and friends. Most people probably have no clue how intense PTSD can be and what it can actually do to a person. It is nothing to joke or laugh about, that's for sure. It can make you physically ill, cause very intense panic attacks and makes one's life pretty miserable. It certainly changed my life. I thought I had mentally dealt with all the residue left over from my high school days. I was very wrong. It changed my life to such an extent that I no longer want to socialize with anyone, at least in person, and I now keep myself completely isolated. I am now 57 years old, if that gives any clue as to what childhood trauma caused by intense bullying can do to a person. Thank you for another excellent video and story, and as always, thank you for sharing with us all.

    It doesn't sound like the "family maid" "panicked" at all. This is what a normal person sounds like when stumbling across a triple homicide. Regarding the murderer, this is what happens when you give everything to a child, you end up with an entitled POS.
