- From its humble beginnings at barbecues and tailgates, the bean bag tossing game known as cornhole is now being played at nationally televised tournaments, and competitive leagues are popping up all over the country, including the Bay Area and Sacramento. We follow a cornhole pro in his rookie season as he grows his officially-sanctioned local league in Stockton, and uses the game to get his 6th grade students excited about coming to school.

Getting paid to cornhole, living the dream.
This game is very addicting I laughed when I first heard about it my wife signed us up for an HOA tournament where we live I did not wanna go I thought it was dumb we ended up placing second that was five weeks ago now we’ve been in three tournaments and are on a league this is the most addicting game I have ever played and it is one of the fastest growing sports/event/Hobby in the world or at least in America right now
I don't recall ever playing this as a kid. But I do recall the bean bag toss game. As I recall, this used a "board" with several, possibly 9, spots, and each spot had a rotating top that would flip around when the bag landed on it and let the bag fall through. I think points were counted based on which spot you landed in.
Cornhole looks like it would be a lot more fun if they actually used real corn, or a rubber imitation.
Personally, I would prefer either lawn darts, or croquet.
The 9 square game I remember was a tic-tac-toe game. We were trying to hit either the left or right side of rotating panels to score an "X" or an "O" and form 3 in a row for a tic-tac-toe.
+NBCBayArea *Thanks for the report on a new sporting league.* The American Cornhole League probably codified the distances, the target angle, and specifications for the resin bags in a rulebook.
CornHole was a bad BRANDON
