  • Finally was able to make it out to my first weeknight cornhole tournament! It was with the Hill City Baggers out of Fayetteville, Arkansas. They were awesome and I had such a great time. The scoreholio app made everything easy from registration through the end my night. #cornhole #cornholetournament

That’s awesome. I just went to my 1st 2 blind draws this week (Monday and Thursday). Got to play with Duncan Clemmer and the Gore brothers. I was actually paired up with Jack Gore as a partner Thursday. He was the same way, he said we should throw my bags since I’m just getting into the game. It’s really neat how ACL pros will come play and not have a “big head”. Nobody treated them special, and they didn’t try to act special. Just down to earth people like the rest of us. Duncan’s father is the person who runs the group, so I guess Duncan comes and plays often when he’s not at an ACL event. The Gore brothers play there quite a bit too when they aren’t at an ACL event. So it will be a lot of fun knowing that I get to throw with and learn from ACL pros pretty much on a weekly basis.

Apparently Jacob Foreman and Matt Creekkiller frequent the club I went to, I will definitely be hoping to pick up some tips watching those kids

Pretty cool you showed the place. I will be new to it too and hoping to be there this coming Monday. I was just in Branson for the first part of worlds. It was pretty cool being there.

That ceiling is too low for most people, it's possible to play but it really limits the ways you can throw. I started going to some local tournaments with my dad a few months ago. I even played with April Alvarez! lol I didn't know who she was until she showed up but she's been on ESPN and is a big name in the cornhole world haha. A couple of guys rented out a vacant store in a local strip mall and it's turning out to be an amazing cornhole venue. It's $5 just to get in but that allows them to call it a "club" and we're legally allowed to bring our own drinks, and it's right next to a Kroger. It's cornhole heaven. Thanks for sharing your experience! I just got my first legit bags yesterday and I'm pumped to start tossing em'

Other than conference championships, the ACL season is over I’m hoping to make a good run in my conference champs especially in advanced, are you planning on doing ACLs next season?

Seeking a little advice. So I've play a little backyard corn hole, I'm talking a handful of times ever. Having said that about a month ago I started practicing to really improve my skill level and i have interest in possibly playing some beginner tournaments and, of course being bad ass in amateur back yard tournaments. I'm getting a bit frustrated at my progress. I throw everyday, use Scoreholio to compete in Ghost mode, I've watched UA-cam vids on how to toss a bag etc but find that I have some real setbacks. There has been some improvement then It's as if I've never tossed a bag in my life. Was that your experience as well. How did you start to make real improvements in your game. Was it just a matter of tossing hundreds of bags or was there something else that you did that took you to the next level. I've seemed to hit a wall. Thanks for any advise.

I tried to simplify my throw as much as possible, no step, short backswing, etc... felt like it made it more repeatable ... And of course practice alot
