@@gteco3018 that is exactly the type of shit that doesn't need to happen. Prebuilts have their place, people should not be required to pick up an additional hobby to use a computer. I bet the same guy who assembles the bikes at walmart assembled this PC too.
I love building computers and built some pretty nice rigs in the day (although the best rig so far is my own personal computer). When I was at work I was talking about a rig I made in South Korea (best place to find cheaper prices in person than online if I am being honest) and a co-worker heard. He asked me if I could build him a computer since he doesn't know or have the patience in doing so. I agreed and gave him three different computer build list (basic gaming, mid tier gaming, and future proof gaming with best parts at the time). He bought all the parts for the future proof and let me put it together. Gave him a free copy of windows since I do have access to free window activation codes. I think he spent 1800 dollars on the parts where similar price computers would be lacking in the reliable strength in multiple areas.
Point is, if you don't want to build your own or pay more on Alienware, just ask a friend or see if someone you may know is willing to do it for you. I still got paid, but I didn't overcharge on the task.

DIY in any case is fun to learn if you have the interest, but fact is that most people aren't interested. We really do need more REPUTABLE PC building services out there so that less people are getting ripped off by Walmart, BestBuy, etc. There is also other factors to take into account. Location is a good example. If you live in Canada and you want to buy all your PC parts all at once and not wait around for deals to pop up, you're better off going with a prebuild from NZXT or CUK and paying the USD exchange rate, and you can even end up saving a little bit of money. I've tested this MULTIPLE times, where I've taken prebuilds from reputable dealers in the U.S and plugged the exact same components into PC Part picker, and a lot of times I'm finding the prebuilds are $50-$100 cheaper. The fact that these dealers can sell components at MSRP prices and ontop of the fact that Canada's markup prices are 10%-15% higher than the prices in the U.S, might as well go with a prebuild and pay the exchange rate.
