It’s a really interesting scenario to think about. What if the Mayans or Aztecs were the ones to rapidly advance their civilization instead of the Greeks & Latins? What if this highly advanced Native American Empire of Mayans or Aztecs discovered & conquered Europe while it was still nothing more than petty Celtic tribes & Latin kingdoms? What would a world look like where Native Americans dominate the modern world both culturally & ethnically? We might’ve had some humanized form of Mesoamerican religion as the dominant faith in this world, rather than Christianity. Our language & writing system would likely be either a mix of european & native american style at best, & entirely replaced with Native American style at worst. Obviously architecture would look far different than it does in our timeline. Honestly, It’s depressing to see a civilization with so much potential be reduced to ruin by the Europeans. The Asians got lucky in that much of their culture is still more-or-less intact after all these years. But what would our world have been like if Christopher Columbus discovered Asia instead of the Americas? The world may never know, I guess.
If the Aztecs had a land bridge to Europe, this is pretty much how it would have gone down. Gengis Khan on one side, Aztecs on the other spit roasting Europe.
Imagine being the Pope at the time. Warriors with strange skin and brutal rituals arrive from the West, Mongols pour in from the East, and in the middle of it all, a plague comes that kills in a matter of days. If this isn't the Rapture, it's never coming.
Just imagine how terrifying that would be. A massive armada of pagan warriors wearing jaguar skins just appears out of the endless sea one day. No one knows who they are or where they came from, and they immediately just start conquering everything in sight.
Honestly, even if the Aztec in this video never developed over-seas ships, imagine Conquistadors exploring this version of America and coming to find that the ENTIRE continent is ruled under one banner of a blood-thirsty tribe that wants to assimilate any other nation it finds
Here's how I picture that conversation at 20:14 went: "Uh Captain, I'm about to fire and you are standing in front of my cannon." "I know, but I've seen nations armed with gunpowder and longswords and clad in steel plate be destroyed by people who have no cavalry and wear animal skins for armor. 23:43 "We have defeated the spirits of our ancestors proud" 😂😂
I love rewatching your medieval videos, please keep doing them. They are amazing quality!
Never thought I’d see the AZtecs conquering Europe
And that is basically the plot of the Sunset Invasion DLC for CK2... Only with passion and war cry 😆
As a Portuguese, I like this video a lot, makes me wonder how different the world would be if the aztects did play a reverse UNO card on my neighbors
@@NCRVeteranRanger Those natives had to be civilized anyway, it's a good thing that the Europeans did it and not the Turks or the Chinese.
If the Aztecs had a land bridge to Europe, this is pretty much how it would have gone down.
Gengis Khan on one side, Aztecs on the other spit roasting Europe.
I would love if Montezuma and Gengis high-fived in Rome.
Lol, Aztecs would get fucked by any calvary charge, as they didn't have arms to counter calvary.
Nah, the stone age savages are WEAK, and have no advantages, unlike the mongols.
Ah yes, the famous Aztec-Papacy-Moors triple alliance I know from history
Imagine being the Pope at the time. Warriors with strange skin and brutal rituals arrive from the West, Mongols pour in from the East, and in the middle of it all, a plague comes that kills in a matter of days. If this isn't the Rapture, it's never coming.
Quickly becoming one of my favorite channels on the platform; keep it up!
I can see the progress you are making with your editing. It's really cool and very noticeable! :)
Glad you think so, thank you!
Blood for the sun god, Skulls for the Tzompantli.
The most feared military force in both the Old and New Worlds:. "HUWAHEHOLOOUIOOUIOLOLOOOH"
Just imagine how terrifying that would be. A massive armada of pagan warriors wearing jaguar skins just appears out of the endless sea one day. No one knows who they are or where they came from, and they immediately just start conquering everything in sight.

@@abdouoftouggourttheconquer7241but now the sea people actually draw all the ways they will brutally murder the europeans
"Lacking in Weapons and Technology"
The Macuahuitl says fucking OTHERWISE.
Cutting everything that moves for the 🌤god
Honestly, even if the Aztec in this video never developed over-seas ships, imagine Conquistadors exploring this version of America and coming to find that the ENTIRE continent is ruled under one banner of a blood-thirsty tribe that wants to assimilate any other nation it finds
Here's how I picture that conversation at 20:14 went:
"Uh Captain, I'm about to fire and you are standing in front of my cannon."
"I know, but I've seen nations armed with gunpowder and longswords and clad in steel plate be destroyed by people who have no cavalry and wear animal skins for armor. I really don't want to live on this planet anymore."
"Fair enough...fire!"
As a mexican, i really love this video, i expect, one day, a video of warhammer 3 with skarbrand.
It`s like Sunset Invasion from CK2, but from Aztec poit of view.
Great video, loved it!
MED2 is my favourite Total War game, and I am glad you are doing these videos about it.
The largest pyjama party I've seen

Man, this channel has quickly become my favourite. I crave your content and also congratulations since it seems you may be blessed by the algorithm again, considering how much the comments are engaged.
I appreciate it! Glad you enjoy the channel :D
@@Pilps BTW watching the video I just had the thought that you somehow managed to to summon the spirit of Genghis Khan. You killed more than the plague.
16:07 Oh, Billy, that moment will never not be funny.
Billy and Mandy grim adventures was the best!
This move is known as "Reverse Cortés"
This series is not what I thought I needed in my life and I absolutely love it!
Man i never very much liked these kind of games, but your editing always makes them enjoyable.
Even if I've no idea what the heck is going on

15:47 I'm happy you picked the correct MKX fatality to depict the fall of Portugal. Aztecs win! FATALITY!
RIP THEIR HEARTS OUT!!
Who would win a modern society of the time with armor of metal and very experienced troops or some people cosplaying as animals with clubs?
comic on medieval ages, colorized
i mean thats kinda how it was with the horse nomads vs ancient chyna except they had better bows and horses.
@@wilmagregg3131 Nah, the nomads were more in line with the Chinese tech wise than the Aztecs we're with the Spaniards.
I love how they just have to say "war god" and "sun god" since the actor can't pronounce Huitzilopochtli or Tezcatlipoca
THE WAR GOD IS WITH US
This is what makes Total War fun. Rewriting history
Definitely!
I love to watch you play "try to avoid the information popups" in every video.
Thank you, glad you enjoy the videos!
I’m so proud of you, to see your first video to seeing you now is a journey.

Imagine, if you will, you are a Spanish knight and you’ve spent your life dueling, jousting, and training for honorable combat against your foes, only for some guy across the world dressed in literal cheetah print to sail over to your country, beat you to death with an obsidian tipped club, then dunk a leather ball through a stone hoop. Truly a “goat’d with the sauce” moment.
