YASSSS THE CONCERT IS AMAZING !!! I saw her in Las Vegas … just a little fun fact… this tour is like Madonna is going thru time and revisiting each one of her previous concert performances… so keep that in mind… she is time traveling on her life and often performing with herself in several songs… its brilliant !!!! And every tour she sings songs that she hadn’t sung at other shows so that is one major surprise… I hope you take personal videos of you guys at the show, and would love to see your selves react to your own personal experience at the concert…. Make your own video journey at the concert and let’s see your experience
That sounds amazing but also i just want them to enjoy the moment and really take it all in because those 140 mins go by so quickly so its hard if you focus on filming etc as well. I just want them to have an amazing time, whichever way they chose to live it.
@@Marc-zi5cq ABSOLUTELY!! I was trying so hard not to be that person with my phone but I did record some moments of my favorite songs.. quilts as charged but I definitely didn’t stand there the whole time recording… I think they are going to LOVE LOVE this show….

You know ray of light is a milestone in Madonna's career, today when we listen and watch the videos it might not seem like it, after all it's been 25 years, but at the time, everything was innovative. Along with the Evita Oprah Interview, there is also a ROL Oprah Interview, and she performs two songs live, Ray of Light, being one of her very best.
This album and era saw Madonna become very soft, introspective with the birth of her daughter Lourdes as well as studying Kabbalah. Not to mention, critically the Grammy’s finally recognized her artistry, and she won four Grammy’s, where she also performed live, it was a huge era. Fun note: there was such a monetary bounty for any pics of her daughter, Madonna did a cover & interview spread for Vanity Fair, that not only let her control what images of her daughter were out, but just seeing her with her daughter, was probably one of my favorite times for her.😊

The first time I heard this after buying the CD I was hooked on this track. I couldn’t wait for her to release as a single (and I think Madonna couldn’t wait either) . The video just accentuated an already infectious song that I never get tired of hearing and it often gets me through cardio at the gym 😂. Also I LOVE her look in the video, possibly my favorite of all her looks - just so simple but still ultra glam. If you look at stills taken during filming her eye makeup is literally sun kissed . Just stunning. That was a really great point about certain figures out of time in the video 👏👏

What. A. BANGER. I remember the first time I heard this song (and every time, really) my brain just lit up. Musical euphoria! I truly believe William Orbit was her greatest collaboration with a producer, although Stuart Price is up there too from the Confessions on a Dancefloor era.
I find the last two lines so satisfying, where she says, "Quicker than a ray of light, she's flying" and then switches it to "Quicker than a ray of light, I'm flying" for the last line. Perfection! Also, this song is SO fun to play on the piano!!

Frozen and Ray of light...2 different songs from one album, 2 different music styles, 2 different Madonna.
But this song for me is something more... this is where my "Madonna Journey" has began. In 1998 I was only 8 and my parents played this song in their car, and I asked them to play it more and more, I liked it very much! So, now I`m 33 and Madonna is still in my daily playlist and this song every time reminds me about my wonderful parents.

Ray of light performance from the live 8 concert was out of this world 🌍
That's almsot a rave song! Sooo fun and uptempo. Also unusual song for her after her more mid tempo Bedtime stories album, her Something To Remember ballad collection and then the Evita soundtrack. She started this Ray Of Light era with the moody, more midtempo Frozen but this song here has got to be one of her most uptempo, fun songs ever. She's got plenty of dance songs but this one goes particularly hard haha And she still proves dancemusic can have a deep meaning, sophistication and grown up approach. I love Madonna for doing popmusic for grown ups instead of just teenagers, so we will never grow out of her. I think it'S a very unique sounding song, there was nothing like this on the radio or MTV at the time, thats for sure. Video won 6 MTV Video Music Awards in 1998 and song at the time became the highest entry on the singles charts in the US going straight into the top 5 first week.
I'm excited for you to hear the other three singles, they are all very unique and different but all equally amazing.

The first time I saw this video clip was in Orlando, FL, on a 15 year trip, I was in an electronics department store in June 98 (Warner Store maybe), on a giant screen. I was baffled by the technology at the time. Like a Prayer, the album, hadn't even been released in 1988, less than 10 years separate these two albums and it's impossible to relate the two. This song was a summer hit, talking about how our lives pass in the blink of an eye. Madonna with huge hair, in the Kabalah vibe that she had, in an incredible body after her first motherhood. It was a golden age. Glad you're enjoying it. Ah, this album has the best single remixes and they are already available on Spotify and other platforms. Lastly: Madonna confirmed her coming to my homeland, Brazil, in May, at an open show in Copacabana. It's going to be monstrously big.

Back in 1997 Cyndi Lauper and Kylie Minogue released their “techno” albums, Sisters of Avalon and Impossible Princess respectively. But these didn’t get much attention. When Madonna released Ray of Light everyone was afraid that electronic music wouldn’t be able to convey emotion. Madonna said she wanted to prove that it not only can, but it can portray many different ones. This whole album is a journey worth listening to with headphones. The song Ray of Light takes parts from another song called Sepheryn, by Curtis & Maldoon. William Orbit played I don’t know how many different guitars in this one. So when Madonna brought it to the stage it would be guitar madness! Definitely worth watching either the Oprah live version, or the VMA, or Live 8! By the way, this was her look for the beginning of ROL era. In frozen she’s wearing a wig, but for most of the promo tour she would show this look.

Ladies, the reason this song will always have a special place in my heart is the first time I heard this song I was on vacation in Key West! My second relationship had just ended and I went to the Keys on vacation by myself, I had been there previously with my ex! I’m really surprised I actually went there by myself however I had the best time (vacation) of my life, I must have met a dozen Queens from all over the Country and every night we would go out partying and dancing and this song was on repeat, love it! This may sound silly but this is why I’ll always remember this song!

Well, it's not a whole life flashing, it`s only one day! For me represented the 90s, a decade where people started to speed up, they were always busy, in a hurry, rushing up and down, thousand things to do and everything quickly...
And nowadays maybe the video it doesn't look anything special, but the timelapse, well used to show an "in-a-hurry-society", back then was something new! and Madonna was the second one to use it in an artistic way after Coppola in one of his films...
I hope you do a personal review from your experience in the Celebration Tour..I saw it last november and I really like it a lot! and It could be nice if you react before to "nothing really matters" because it's the opening and I think it's a good choice to start the concert for what the song says...

G'day girls. i know you probably cant react to the whole album on here without censorship. But buy or stream the album. This must be listened to continuously from beginning to end. its a "journey". songs meld and intertwine with each other without a break between trax. maybe listen then give a review. But if you want to know why we love this album so much, its because of the way it starts, then doesn't stop. It's a continual mix. Edit. dont stream or the trax will be cut, do yourselves a favor and buy the CD.
