You are awesome! I’m a beginner and I must say your enthusiasm is so inspiring! Unlike a lot of other piano players who just want to show off and aren’t easy to follow. You rock girl, thank you!
I love this channel sooo much! I've been playing piano for about 13 years, but I still love coming to this channel to learn different techniques. There's always room for growth!
There's a lot of good tutors on UA-cam but she is so far the best for a beginner to follow along with. Her optimism paired with the calm relaxing atmosphere really help too.
Really enjoy these videos. Thank you. Seriously some of the best quick piano lessons on UA-cam. Always appreciate your enthusiasm and excitement for music!
BTW: I started teaching myself to play in November (when I turned 71), I'm amazed at how many on-line teachers there are...tried so many of them. I'm doing quite well (if I do say so myself). Just wanted you to know you are the best -so far and thank you. TWO thumbs up!
Lisa you are such a warm and enthusiastic teacher. My son has been wanting to learn piano so last night I gave him a little mini lesson to encourage him to use his thumb! I went “hm Lisa would probably do something fun or silly here to remind a student to use proper fingering”, so I told him that he didn’t want his thumb to get “lonely” and we had a good laugh about it each time he forgot! Vs my usual stern self “use proper fingering, kid” We ended up giving each finger its own unique name last night (his idea), including “Fivey” and “Four-o” because he likes naming things! Thanks again for your wonderful example of a kind, enthusiastic teacher.
I have a bad left hand and as a result have never been a great player but am proficient in reading music and chords….after 20 years of inactivity I have gone back to playing keyboards since Covid lockdowns (not piano due to my left hand) and get soooooooo much joy out of watching your chord progressions and then experimenting with them on my keyboards 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
Because of you I have learnt how to play keyboard at aged 53, been going since middle of lockdown summer 2020. It brought me so much joy! This timely tutorial is my next step and it’s just beautiful, thank you.
I had great fun with this. Have tried to teach myself for years and was getting nowhere. Your lessons are inspiring me and giving me so much more satisfaction.
I used to play around on this small keyboard I used to have as a kid and taught myself how to play the songs in the book that came with the keyboard. Moved on to teaching myself more piano songs that I really enjoyed like moonlight sonata but, I was not very good at reading music as far as time signature and speed of the notes. I would write in with pencil the letter of the note on the sheet music but, It had to be a song I had already heard so I new the speed. I quit with it and, fast forward to a couple weeks ago, I purchased an electric piano and have started teaching myself how to read music. I found your channel and it has really helped me a lot. Thank you so much!!!
Lisa and Pianote, I found you here on UA-cam early this month, and I have been practicing almost every day -- including when I went to a women's silent retreat last week -- I had brought my piano books and some chord charts of my favorite songs (from our worship team) and found a quiet room with a piano and a keyboard, AND kept up with my practicing while there. :) My dad was career Air Force, and I never asked for a piano or lessons. I knew he wouldn't ship a piano across the Atlantic. Long story, but as an adult I started lessons and prayed for a piano. I was given one, but then I became a mom and life got busy. (Of course, I regret not continuing!) I learned to read music years ago and have sung, sang in choirs/ensembles, directed a teen choir, been on a worship team, etc. all my adult life. But the issue of playing with both hands always stumped me. Until -- you're the first piano instructor I've ever heard say that it feels like our hands and our brain don't know how to cooperate (loose paraphrase)... I always thought I needed two heads (one for each hand) in order to play with two hands. BUT you have taught me in this short month how to triumph over this, and in a few short weeks I am playing simple songs with both hands, sometimes slowly, but at least I'm playing, and the chords are looking more familiar!!! I LOVE these videos and your amazing lessons and your sweet spirit! A thousand Thank you's! P.S. You're right -- when we're consistent with practicing, time flies and 15 minutes of practice turns into 30 or 45 minutes or longer. ;) Again, Thank you!
This is and you are awesome - I've played guitar for 45 years, started messing around with piano a year or so ago and all these little building blocks are so fun - thanks for the inspiration and sharing your knowledge!
Pianote has helped me so much. I’m not that much into covering but more into improvising and this channel has helped! I’ll totally use this riff when I’m improvising, thanks so much! 😊
Hello! I want to say that all of your videos are very helpful and that I've learned a lot of cool things! Could you do a video on how to hear minor chords and play scales by ear? I can usually figure out major scales since my ear is used to it, but I really struggle with minor ones. Thank you! Have a nice day and a happy new year!! :)
Your videos are just fantastic. I am 6 months a beginer who found you for your hand independence excercises... at which I am struggling. But I found all yout videos are wonderful. If I could only corrdinate my hands for piano as I do for typing i would be ready for stage 🙂Thank you so much for you video lessons.
Thanks for yet another ear worm! Will have hours of fun adding a few more chords and then a guitar solo. Great lessons at exactly the right level. Happy new year.
The simplicity of this repeated riff makes me think of the theme to "28 Days Later". Although the theme is rather dark, perhaps you could use it as a demonstration of the power and impact a repeated riff can have. Love the vids.
Hello Pianote. My name is Denzel. I subscribed to your channel and started following you on the social media platforms. I'm a beginner in playing the keys and hope to learn more from here.
Thank you different notes can create so much emotion even doubting the same note and change the rythem can lead to very interesting and intense moments. We are the painter of our moments as we paint we enjoy .
I would like to ask if you have a book with Christmas songs and taught on youtube? You have motivated me to start learning to play the piano a few months ago and wish to practice during the year for the 2021 Christmas season. Let's all hope we have a healthier and kinder 2021 New Year. It would be a dream come true...especially at my age of 65 years. Blessings
Happy New Year Lisa ...reminds me a lot of Einaudi pieces. I am new to the piano but find that I can play most of his work as it seems to follow a pattern.
"Out on the road today, I saw a dead head sticker on a Cadillac." I agree with Sylvia Boys of Summer by Don Henley. Love that tune! That was the first lyric that popped in my mind. Love the lessons guys awesome job!

Another amazing piano tip I learnt today's video ❤️ lov u ma'am
Happy to help!

'Boys of summer' for sure!! Love the riff!
That's immediately where my brain went.

End of Heartache - Killswitch Engage. But in b-flat rather than D.
Killswitch is amazing
That's exactly what came to mind..
No way it's that simple though right?
Not just end of heartache, adam built every damn album off of this lol
Sounds Magical 👍
Love the extended information on the top of the screen (LH-RH). 🎹 Anyway, you can give me a tons of ideas for my new project. 😃 Thanks very much! 🙏

Don Henley - Boys of Summer?
oh-- absolutely!!
Exactly what I was thinking
Yup! I kept singing to myself "Out on the road today I saw a dead head sticker on a Cadillac".
Yes, that's exactly what I heard!
Yeah, that's definitely the famous one she was referring to.
I love the way you teach... ❤❤❤

A lot of piano teachers never show anything fun like this, and this is the reason why years ago I quit learning under my old teacher.
Sehr schön!
I love it,and it's easy to learn,thank you Ms.Lisa.
