- My quest for sub 5 hours is finally done!
The route stayed the same from the previous run for the most part. I mainly optimized the order in which I collects the tokens. I also memorized better the location of the combat tours.
I was missing 1 token and couldn't figure out which, but I eventually found it. I was passing by the missing token many times, but every time that I did, I thought that it would be more optimized if I got back to it later, until I completely forgot about it.
I memorized the run to the point that I don't need notes or a map beside me. I had to resort to a video only to find the missing token, but I ended up finding it without the need of it, so take whatever you want from this.
I want to thank everyone that stopped by and watced me on Twitch while I was working on the route. Practicing was much more fun thanks to you all!
Special thanks to the guy that told me that you can finish wall bounces with the grab button, which was really useful against the girl boss of the Asian gang.
There's a possible route change involving the Save Corruption Glitch ( • Ultimate Spider-Man [P... ), which would allow me to finish the races in a different order. I'll test this if I revisit this category again. For now, I'm very happy with the result.

You're insane asf. What impresses me the most are your swinging and movement skills. Everytime I watch the races you do, I get impressed. Me personally I suck on getting ultimate trophies on the races
I feel like some of the combat tours are luck, most of them are alright but the Mei Hua Bang ones are nightmare fuel, they just seem to block every attack I throw out, kind of funny how a gang of thugs is tougher than any of the boss fights in the game.

I can't tell how much is it viewer-friendly, so do your best to follow my route.
Check the description in that video, I've redrawn the awful map provided by IGN. It's not that great either, but it's much better than what we've got until now.

You're the best, I've already completed every ultimate run about 15 times, even so, if you manage to land the punch at the end of the web almost every time, do you play on the controller or keyboard? Most of the times I get it right is when I jump at the end of the web + the punch, do you have any tactics to get it right more times without him jumping, just with the punch at the end? I'm a fan here in Brazil
I play with a controller (similar control layout to the console versions). TBH, everything happens so fast that I can't even tell you the timing, it almost feels like I press punch AFTER I release the swing (which doesn't make sense).
Keep practicing, try different timings and pay attention.
I hate how the johnny storm races punish you so mad for being 1 cm away from the web thing and not hitting it. Just make it easier and give me the black suit on xbox god damn it

Jeez, it feels like 70% of this game is race challenges. Maybe instead of making 11,000 races they could have put some dev time into making a New Game + feature, so we could use the unlockable costumes in the story mode.
As someone who loves the movement in the game, races are my favorite part of the game. Compared to the other games I played, USM's races are designed the best in my opinion.
I understand this isn't everyone's cup of tea though (and I'm pretty sure I'm in minority here), but I agree they should've added NG+ mode. It shouldn't even be hard to implant anyway, so it's really disappointing they didn't.
@@shtrudel9498 Like I'm fine with there being race challenges but I would gladly sacrifice a few if it meant they had time to do NG+. The Symbiote Suit looks really good in this game but it's hard to say it's worth the trouble of getting since there's nothing left to enjoy it with.
Also, great job on these runs. It was awesome seeing you fly through all the Races and Combat tours.

Do you need all 60 race medals for the black suit? Also are hard races included in those 60 medals? I'm very close to finally getting it and accomplishing what I couldn't as a child.

Over 19 hours, according to the game's timer.
Not in one sit of course . I think it took me over a year in real life. It wasn't a speedrun, just casually trying to complete the game.
What was the hardest part about the game
Finiding the tokens and skydive challenges, in which I only got bronze rewards.
The other challenges were honestly fun to complete.

bro can you tell me your game setting like do you use default setting or wht i just need to know your mouse setting, it is so hard to control mouse angle.

@Shtrudel to get more momentum after the web swing you press the jump button to propel yourself foward to get more speed right? But there is more technics to get so much speed or not? And the double jumb propels spidey forward because his Y axis is toppled a few frames after releasing the web swing or i am just overthinking about it?
Besides chaining double jumps to the swings, I also hit boost (punch key) right before I release the swing. If done correctly, you will get a massive speed boost, thought it takes some practice to get consistently (even nowadays I consider myself only semi-consistent with the technique).
I don't know exactly why chaining double jumps right after releasing the swing gives an additional speed boost, but here's my theory:
When I release the swing at the bottom of the arch, Spidey is facing downwards (can't confirm if this is even true), so if I double jump in this position, Spidey will launch forward instead of upwards.
Again, can't confirm this is true, but this is what I've always assumed is happening.

The only thing I know you can skip is the final Johnny storm race.
(And the Venom races and the post-story combat tours, since they're bonus content as well)

So do you know if the tokens are in the same places regardless of game systems? I use Nintendo Game Cube. I used to have an original xbox but it stopped working.
As far as I know, the locations are the same.
Although I vaguely remember seeing a token at the center of the football field (next to the school), but I probably remember incorrectly.

I have 58/60 Races done and I can't find the last 2. What do I do?
Open the zoom map and see which races don't have a circle around them.

Why aren’t the venom races included
They're only bonus content. They don't unlock anything and are not on the list of city goals.
