no. as a singer, i can tell you that your throat does not move that much when you lipsync. they edited the background sound, but if you look at her throat right above the turtleneck (especially during the high notes), you can obviously see her vocal cords working. hard. i really hate when people criticize others of lipsyncing without knowing at all...
Mainly because we'd all be out of practice if we didn't sing every day. That, and the live voice has a way more powerful presence on stage. It makes things believable.

well actually yes it does make a huge difference. If the song was in a lower key then it makes the song sooo much easier even if it's just a half a step. I mean don't get me wrong it's still a hard song to sing but it's sooo much easier if it's lowered.

Its a matter of opinion really because i feel diana reaches for the high notes effortlessley(is that how spell it lol) so it makes it more enjoyable to hear diana and she has a softer tone but the camera work on this was awsome(2.53) lol. If you think this sounds exactly the same as the cast recording you need to get your ears checked. I have the OBC album and it does not sounds exactly like this.... just listen at 1:42 the way she sings miracles and the way she sings it on the obc recording and you'll notice the difference... that is one of the many differences between this and the cd.
it's a video clip ^^ in the bridge there would be so much noise... and are you seeing some piano there =P!? but she was singing how should be, but it was edited later with the music as background ^^

If you listen to this & the recording you can hear all the differences. It's obvious this was lip synced... she's outside & there isn't any noise. Her pacing is different, her intonation is different. Actually if you start both songs at the same time around 1:50ish the recording falls behind. I never said she was live.
But as an understudy your job is to sound like the original member UNTIL you are the lead then you make it your own. But they hire you like you said for you thinking that when they get to be lead then you will make it your own
This chick can really sing-great emotion, control and the range as well as stage presence. Obviously well trained and a broadway star! This song should be in every B'way wannabe's repetoire.
