    PBD, your decision to make this interview a One-On-One was paramount to it's intensity.
    Your sidekicks (especially Adam) would have derailed the Importance/Objectiveness of the subject matter you brilliantly touched on. I am so glad that Erik Prince is on OUR side and believe he has contributed more to our nations foreign policy than he is willing or able to admit. I will not be surprised if President Trump appoints him to an advisory position.
    The insights I gathered today line up with my long held perspectives and leave me feeling validated against the daily onslaught of FAKE NEWS.
    This was truly your finest work to date.
    Suggestion: Please do more One-On-Ones whenever having pragmatic guests like Erik.

      So I've always wondered this, and this is a legitimate question I'm not being sarcastic or trying to coax you into a "gotcha!" moment or anything like that, what was the deal with BW & the ACTUAL events that did or didn't happen from your first hand or extremely close-to-primary/1st-hand-source(s). Basically, from your eye-witness POV and/or your closeness/vicinity to eye-witnesses, what actually went down do you think? I've always been extremely skeptical of anything that the government does or says, especially involving the military/LE so it's not unbelievable to me that the political or official intelligence groups or even the high-command of the regular military would leave you guys "hung out to dry" or "hanging high & dry" so to speak to cover their own asses and/or move along their agendas/narratives.

      The government doesn't like competition because it takes away all their power. And the elected politicians like the power they perceive they have. I was at small town hall for my legislator, and he was excited about his leadership role that he got, especially as a two term rep. And the one thing he said that mattered to him alot was the large government contractor that is in our district and not so much the power the small group of the rest of us because our contributions don't equal that large military contractors dollars.

    I worked for Erik’s fathers company. It was called Prince Corporation. He built an INCREDIBLE business and he was a great man. He built a company where everyone felt respected and part of the success. Paid well. Worked hard. Then he died and his kids sold it for billions. It is now shut down.

    • @TheeGlocktopus
      @TheeGlocktopus 6 місяців тому +17

      That company, worth that much at that time, applying today's business multipliers, assuming revenue in sales remained flat, would be valued at around 14 billion - 20 billion. they sold it for 1.3 billion. The dad wanted the kids and family to learn their own skills so they didn't end up becoming nepo babies. But I highly doubt he wanted his pride and joy to be sold off. Johnson Controls in WI bought them out and shut it down as competition. This of course before going public themselves now where they are worth almost $40 billion. My father also worked there. Hello Holland from Grand Haven!

    • @orangemanbad
      @orangemanbad 6 місяців тому +7

      @@TheeGlocktopus that’s actually not what happened. JCI bought them out and operated it for about 15 years. It was very successful. They sold it to a Chinese company called Yanfeng that shuttered the doors. If I remember right another company bought off part of it, I think it was Aptar.

    • @experimentaldave7607

      I too worked for Prince Corp back in the late 80s part time after school. Incredible times. I remember Ed walking though the whole company - every building - during the holidays to shake everyone's hand and wishing them a Merry Christmas. I was a year or two behind Erik at the same high school and I remember the school receiving a brand new bluebird bus... and... a bus garage reportedly donated by the Prince family. Nothing but respect for the Prince family.

    • @TheeGlocktopus
      @TheeGlocktopus 6 місяців тому

      @@orangemanbad The Yanfeng deal was actually a Joint Venture in an attempt to shift production over to production of vehicle trim parts. The deal was 30% to JCI for basically use of the facility and Yanfeng held 70% (of just the venture agreement) as they took over operations, supplied and distributed the parts being made. JCI and Yanfeng partnership goes back to 1990/91 well before Prince Corp. was even acquired. At no point did one own the other or vice versa. But JCI maintained ownership of the building and property throughout. They became "Prince Automotive" for two years before the venture decided to branch out into more markets, becoming "Prince Manufacturing" - what they are known for today after. Think around this time is when they began to shift the bulk of production to N. Carolina away from Holland. Around this time is when we moved, wanna say 99 ish, so my info after is light at best. Not sure about anything in regards to Aptar.

      @Truckerdaddy 6 місяців тому +1

      @Blashmack we need to care to some degree because we trade internationally. So our economy is intertwined with alot of countries around the world. When he mentioned the Suez Canal he put out a number of 90% of traffic has dropped. That's a big issue because it cause world market prices to go up over night when the trade routes are cutoff like that. The Panama Canal is another big one. If it were to shut down for an extended amount of time you could world market prices coming out of China to at least double if not more simply due to shipping costs.
      Pat did a stand alone solo video on the Panama Canal and Suez Canal awhile back that's about 20 minutes long. Very insightful and sheds some light on geopolitics.
