Gorebeast chariots have been insane for me so far this edition. A bit slow as usual but the d6+2 STR5 autohits from impact are just bonkers with that -2ap, and I've killing-blowed 2 demon princes and an ogre Tyrant so far all of which were on full wounds when killed. By leaps and bounds my most overperforming units so far.
Edited to remove brain fart on AP with heavy chariots. The killing blow is only for the gorebeasts attacks not impact hits. So hopefully you’ve been applying it that way.
I've been slowly building up a pile of shame of AoS Hedonites of Slaanesh for the past year, planned to run them as Slaanesh devoted WoC. Finally started building them these past couple of weeks. I expect to feel like I'm kneecapping myself until the Arcane Journal comes out, since monogod army lists seem like a no-brainer in that book. Don't really have a plan for Warrior minis, but I'm building a small army of Darkoath and Cypher Lords I plan to paint purple and run as Marauders, plus I have 20 Hellstriders I plan to run as Knights, and I have 5 Slickblade Seekers I plan to run as Chosen Knights. Also have some Slaangor Fiendbloods I plan to run as Chaos Ogres or Chaos Spawn, and 10 Myrmidesh Painbringers that'll make beautiful Chosen. Also working on putting some characters on Seeker Chariots, it may be inferior to the chaos dragon lord but I think that a full list of Slaaneshi cavalry is a very funny proposition. I can't wait to see the Bret players' reactions when I bring more cav than them...
@@Sventein Haven't actually put them on bases yet because I haven't gotten around to ordering 30mm, but they're meant for 32mm rounds so it should be fine.
It'd be a hard ask for me to lose the ensorcelled weapons in favour of the halberd or additional hand weapon, I feel like you're giving too much up for additional cost. Great weapon chosen sound quote interesting though. I'd still give them shields and retain their hand weapons for the flexibility. I take my dragon ogres as three units of one and upgrade all of them to be champions and great weapons. Amazing chaff clearers / distraction carnifex / board control.
I tend along the same lines on Chaos warriors but ive heard off a few people now going shields and halberds and chasing the halberds when striking first anyway (so you wound T3 on 2+) has been effecting

Hey mate, glad the video helped out despite the audio issues Really sorry you're experiencing that. I dont think theres much I can do at the moment at least: when im editing and checking the videos after upload I can hear it through the headphones when they aren't on my head even if turned up to full and through speakers perfectly fine, ive just tried with my work computer and it seemed fine?
failing panic tests isnt that bad this edition as you only flee if you have under 50% base strength, otherwise you fall back in good order which is fine usually, which means slanesh and undivided marks lose some of their benefit slightly

I'll have to give it a try tbh as you may be right! Ive tended to have a very fast army (a steppe tribe themed, though have got infantry) but maybe a siege train is needed to crack the armies of the old world (or at least get the data on why it isnt haha)

Fantastic video I SO needed this. I want to run something by you; in my dragonless 2500 I'm going to try a demonic mount flail lord with strikes last/first Aura inside a unit of 3 great weapon dragon ogres. I want to have multiple hammer units so keeping my chosen knights and foot chosen separate. Any thoughts on the drogre/lord bus?
Definitely going to be another hammer unit so no real thoughts on needing it to be better (sounds pretty good as is!) ! Id say be flexible with where the lords going is my only advice, the DO are going to smash lots of things anyway so having the lord floating to be able to join a unit as needed the turn before a charge is very useful!

They trash basicly everything they encounter and the enemy really struggles to debuff them due to Magic Resitance 3, the Sorcerer is effective Lvl3, or with Infernal Puppet/Wand of Jet Lvl4. Frenzied they could be baited, but 17" charge range with hgh reliability and the abundance of Warhounds to screen you is worth the risk. Alternatively Mark of Nurcle on Chosen Knights with Full Plate, Lvl4 Sorcerer of nurgle on demonic steed in the unit and then cast Fleshy Abundance for T5. Again absolutely toxic unit (pun intended) These guys are the hammer of my Chaos Army.
@@anotherdadjoke that only states that the MR of two different models is not cumulative. i guess its disputable if a tzeentch marked model with Brass Collar or Obsidian has a cumulative MR
It would probably come down to a ruling from the tourney judges. But if you wanted to play me with that attempt at -6 to casting rolls against that unit, I'll wait until next week to find someone who isn't so WAAC
@@BearfootMiniatures I wondered if investing 100 points to guard a 215 point fancy stone thrower was worth 315 points to have meh shooting in the first place. I guess it comes down to just building the stuff and trying it out.
You can choose whether to use shields or flails in the first round of combat so you can choose to go defensive (shield wall) or get aggy with the flails.
have started working on it: Todays (Chaos Dwarf) video should be better (including working out how to record all the audio separately so this specifically should be better in future)
On the chariots: mark of nurgle forces your opponent to re-roll 6s to hit not to wound.

You can't use killing blow against monstrous infantry, only infantry or cavalry.

Killing blow is against ligth, heavy and monstours Inf and Kav.
Monster Slayer is against Monsters and Behemoths

How do the painbringers fit on 30x30 bases? I'm considering using them.

The Hydra makes the Daemon Prince look like a ‘no brainer’

true true, I suppose it ends up more situational than it previously did, my small low armoured units do tend to suffer though

Magic Resist is, sadly, not cumulative. It's always the largest single modifier.
@@anotherdadjoke as you can buy multiple Obsidians to increase your MR per Obsidian by 1, i would assume that it is cumulative.

Would you use a pair of Khorne spawn to guard a Hellcannon just to hold up cheap fast cav that are looking to engage it?
TBH id just trust the hellcannon to smash most fast cav with its mass attacks and high strength and wounds!

How do you take Flails with a shield? (Sorry am new to OW) but I though Flails were two-handed so you can't get the benefit of shields?
You can take both and the shield provides armour save against ranged to get there. Then you can't use it in melee

Definitely worth squeezing the flail in IMO and just tailor to fit the opponent your facing (as said above mind the shield wall!

Instead of talisman of protection, why not take 4 charmed shields. Its cheaper and you are unlikely to need to take more than a few ward saves
haha great idea but sadly you can only take 1 shield (its in the common magic items bit)
