    It's always funny to have Asians pronounce the German 'r'. I asked some Japanese friends to try and it was physically impossible for them haha. Tolles Video! Immer lustig wenn Flo dabei is wwww

      It's interesting though, since Korean DOES have an R sound: for example, "eolgul" is pronounced with an l sound but "eolgul-i" is pronounced with an r sound

      @@T.K.T that's not an 'r'...It's both "ㄹ" (rieul) and is a sound between r/l which is produced by fastly "flapping" the tip of the tongue just behind the alveolar ridge...it's not an "l" nor an "r".
      Since it's a sound between those two it will sometimes sound more like an "r" / like an "l" to you, simply because your not used to the sound and your brain tries to connect to something familiar to you.

      Some can do it pretty well. Even better than us Germans. Try to roll the R like the Spanish or Finnish people do, we can't do that either.

      @@mika_ekirian It's true that neither of those exact sounds exist in my language: nevertheless, they are definitely two distinct sounds ( even if they are considered allophones in Korean, since they are not used to differentiate meaning). For example, phonetic transcription for "salang" would be "sʰa̠ɾa̠ŋ", while it is "ʌ̹ɭɡuɭ" for "eolgul" (at least in Seoul dialect I believe). If someone were to use ɾ (as in salang) in my mother tongue (Finnish), it would definitely be interpreted as an "r" while "ɭ" would be interpreted as an "l" sound.

      @@dieMaron So könnte man das sagen. Kleiner Streber Crash-Kurs: Das R gehört zur Gruppe der Frikative, das heißt es bildet sich eine Engstelle und die Luft verwirbelt sich. In der selben Gruppe sind z.B. F, S und Sch. Dadurch, dass die Zunge sich ans Gaumensegel legt bekommen wir ein ch (wie in "och"), wenn dann noch die Stimmbänder vibrieren bekommen wir ein R. Beim L hingegen entweicht die Luft seitlich aus dem Mund (das kann man sogar spüren) und die Zunge liegt hinter den Zähnen.

    When I started learning Korean , Japanese and Chinese I used to make a lot of mistakes but over time you learn more and it will come naturally , you can't force it .

    Koreans are suprisingly good at pronouncing german words instantly I've noticed from other videos. They seem to have all the sounds in Korean language necessary for pronouncing german or other germanic languages like Swedish, danish, norwegian etc.

      @@ravanpee1325 the funny thing about that is the fact that english is a western germanic language just like German and Dutch... English has a similarity rate of 50% with german... meaning there is also a great number of shared vocables in both languages and i am not talking about english words germanspeakers adopted or german words englishspeakers adopted. i am talking about words which are native to both languages. though some of those words have changed meaning in one of the languages... the word "gift"for example is one of them it comes from "giving" (geben in German) and it changed its meaning in the German language and now it means poison...

      Learn as much vokabulary as possible and watch a lot with subtitles, than it will become so much easier.
      People always think grammar is the most important thing, but thats not true it comes by itself.

    As far as I know, Fanta belongs to Coca Cola, but it was "invented" in Germany.
    And, btw., as a German myself I can't pronounce the R correctly either. It also depends on the German dialect you speak.

      Because of Second World War it was hard to get Coca Cola in Germany so the head of coca-cola Deutschland invented Fanta with the ingredients that you could get in Germany at that time..that’s why it belongs to Coca Cola

      I speak Spanish and have been learning German for the past 2yrs (have done around 5 courses) and 3 out of my 5 teachers pronounced really hard the "r" while the other 2 pronounced it softly, like French "r" 🤣🤣🤣
      So decided to take advantage of both ways being considered correct and apply both depending on how fast I'm speaking and how easier will be for me to pronounce the word 👌
      Such beautiful language, so lucky y'all who speak it 😫🍾💐

      Also bei uns in Monnem sagt so ziemlich jeder Benz, wenn's um den Markennamen geht - Mercedes lediglich, wenn man über ein spezifisches Model spricht.

      @@X3nophobiX Naja, ich wohne in Baden-Württemberg, in der Nähe von einem Mercedes Benz Werk. Dort wird wird die A-Klasse, B Klasse usw produziert. War sehr oft dort arbeiten, wahrend den Semesterferien (bezahlen Studenten ziemlich gut 😍) In der Nähe gibt's noch einen anderen Werk für die Trucks. Also ich höre lediglich eher Mercedes. Wenn es um die Modelle geht, dann sagt man beispielsweise gleich E Klasse usw. Aber kann echt unterschiedlich sein. 😅 No front.

    German is a nice language..I love of..it's my favorite class in School.. it's pretty easy to understand..if I wouldn't be Hungarian I would say it's easier than my language.

    I'm from Indonesia and mostly in here when you can't pronounce R people will make fun of you--*not in a rude way)
    Because R pronunciation is important in our language. For example there are some famous tongue twister with R pronunciation which is "Ular Lari Lurus" and "Ular Melingkar di atas Pagar"
    And you have to say it faster

    My level of German is intermediate, I rwally enjoy learning and speaking German - lots of people look at me weird, but to me German is a very poetic language.
    I wish I had the time for Korean :/...but I am also studying Russian.
    Anyways, wish to see more of Florian! He is super engaging!

      Yep, I definitely pronounced it wrong. But everyone else does. 😁 From the examples I've heard, it seems like the "n" in "van" is not pronounced. And the "g" and the "gh" are pronounced the same way. But why?

    As someone who worked at Haribo for quite a while, it made me very happy to see that their pronunciation was good :) And yes, I was allowed and even encouraged to eat as much inside the factory as I liked - as part of quality control. We just weren't allowed to take anything outside, that would have been theft.

    So german ABCS have the exact same pronunciation as Bahasa Indonesia ?!! especially the R~~ i was so shock and also took sudden interest in german language ❤ i also just realize R~~ will be difficult to pronounce in other asian countries 🤣🤣

    They really did a good job. I tried to pronounce it as well but it is really hard. I really can´t imagine that germans can just pronounce them in a conversation without really thinking about it. I have a german online friend and sometimes she curses in german ,she writes "scheise" and than says it´s a curse word.
