I really appreciate it when you say, "..if it's not perfect, that's ok." Takes the pressure off and more often than not, it will be perfect because you weren't stressing about it. Thanks for the coupon!!
Been a quilter for 2 months and am already fondling the fabric. So good to hear that it is not only just me. The real question is: What would the world be like if we didn't have fabric to fondle? Got a BIG smile on my face now!!!!
I have been a quiltaholic for about 50 years only mine are all quilted by hand. But I have a feeling that even if I never was able to make another one, I would still be a subscriber. I love your quilts but I love your personality even more. Thanks for brightening an old lady's day.
This one is going to be made for my parent's new bed. They lost almost everything in Harvey and just received a new bed (actually it arrived today) and I will start working on this tomorrow. Not to worry, they do have some blankets. They have started over in a new home and had to replace almost all their furniture, so a new quilt will make Mom and Dad very happy too. I think batiks in blues, greens with the white stars will be really nice.
So, how long does it REALLY take you to make and quilt a quilt? I DO love ALL your work and just your sweet and funny charm. Thank you so much for all your tips and encouragement.
My daughter heard you say the video was for quilters only and perked up. "I'm a quilter!" She's five and started her first quilt over the summer. While watching the video together she got so excited, "I want to make that... RIGHT NOW!" Haha welcome to my life sweetie! I forsee me getting into trouble with my new little creative spirit / enabler ;) Thanks for another great video!
I made this quilt in a weekend. I love it....no joke...i got up at 6:30 am and started see g and piecing and cutting and by the time 10pm came around...my family had basically given up on getting any meals out of me lol..worth it!!!
Hey Angela, thanks for the plug on my stencil and Pounce Pad! The quilt turned out beautiful and the whole episode is just pure entertainment. Inspiring too, I'm going to pour me some magic quilting juice in a few minutes and get to it in my sewing studio.
Angela, I love the star quilt tutorial! I can already see making this one in the near future! I'm thinking of a Valentine quilt or really any holiday them would work. Thank you!
Just love your youtubes. I tell people I have a fabric addiction. I used to have a shoe addiction but now it is fabric. Never thought the fondling of my fabric but love it.
I love this pattern. I bet it goes quickly because you alternated the star blocks with the 9 patches. Thanks for the great ideas and also the stenciling for those that are not quite confident in their free-motion quilting yet!!
Love your show!!! Love your ideas and believe it or not, those zip lock bags idea to keep my cut pieces was the greatest idea for me. Simple, but I never thought of it. Pieces all over the floor; I'm so neat now! Well, I'm neater now.
I just started free motion quilting a few months ago and stumbled across your videos and have been binge watching! I love them!!! You're an awesome teacher and I love your "don't rip it out" philosophy. You rock!!! Thank you for all that you do. :-)
This is a great pattern. I need to make a baby quilt and I think this pattern could be very quick, showcasing lots of different scrappy fabrics. I also appreciated your showing us how to stencil (have never done), but as you say, it would be a great way to learn certain FMQ designs by following the chalk line. Thanks for these videos and all your tips!
Yes! A simple quilt that I could finish during a few naptime quilting sessions. Woohoo! All the quilts you make are beautiful. I enjoy your fabric choices. So now when I watch my children pulling fabric off the shelves at the store, I’ll just assume they’re future quilt fondlers. ;) LOL!
You make me laugh! Mornings are better with the midnight quilter! I am a new longarmer and you give me hope! My DD and I love that you are not perfect! You give us hope! And we have been known to go in the basement to fondle fabric. My husband is getting used to it. In fact he has been trained to wear fabric fondle worthy shirts! One way to keep domestic bliss!
Great video lesson Angela. I'm so glad you showed the stencil and pounce pad. This is a great suggestion for me since I am not good at machine quilting. This will help me practice more. I just love your wit and humor. You are a hoot!
Thanks Angela! I understand more about different blocks from watching your videos and you make it enjoyable. I have learned a lot and look forward to learning more. Thanks again.
I didn't fondle the fabric, but my second-ever-quilt-top is modeled after this! I used 8 different purple fabrics for my semi-scrappy quilt (I went a little nuts making sure no two matching blocks touched each other). Angela, you are an inspiration! :)
I have some fabric I bought some 15 years ago that I get out, fondle it, wrap it round myself and fold it carefully (differently to how it was folded not to get wear lines) and then put it away. It is too nice to cut and too expensive to make a mistake with. Also I bought it when I was with my Mum and now that she has gone it gives me great comfort. xxxx
You are wonderful. Love your instructions, directions and most of all your fun personality. You ‘get’ quilters. You really do. I look forward to trying this quilt. Thank as always for sharing.
Love your quilts and bright and funny attitude to quilting. Even though I have quilted many years I always learn something new from your videos. I am getting ready to retire and am looking forward to quilting with you along the way. Merry Christmas
OMG...you are hilarious! I just found you yesterday and subscribed to utube just to follow you on your Midnight quilt show! I live in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada. I have to apologize, I’m not much of a wine drinker but I do love the idea, I think I’ll dust off the old wine glasses this weekend and give it a go! Lol. I’m watching you as I send this message, you’re too much!😂💦
i loved that it was a more simple quilt design and that you included stenciling. Now I will try that one and then maybe at a later date will try a more complicated one. thank you
Love the stencil tip. I teach quilting to 6th, 7th, & 8th graders at a private school. They do freak out about free motion quilting. I'm buying stencils for them during break. They will love the ease of following a line.
I used that leaf stencil when I first tried quilting and still have it somewhere although it's no longer in use. Nice easy charm pack design and very effective.
Hi Angela, i might try machine quilting after watching this video, my early attempts did not end well, (anger issues with my machine) but after watching this I will try again. I have been a big stitch quilter since I discovered it in the 1990s. Thanks for the inspiration. Jo-Anne.
Hi Angela! Love your stenciling technique and your star block. I can't wait to try this block out using light blues, light pinks, and light yellows. I will be looking forward to your next video.
For some reason I just couldn't bring myself to cut my reproduction collection and then I decided to make my mom a quilt....no choice her but to volunteer a few peices of my collection....I am sure she will love it...a support group would be awesome.
I'm so glad to see you use a stencil. I'm really intimidated by FMQ, but I think I could begin to get the hang of it if I used some stencils. Thanks for showing us how.
I have been wondering about getting stencils as well. I used them years ago but I hand quilted then. Didn't know if I could do that now and then run it using the sewing machine. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and talent with us. Much appreciated and love this quilt design!
Im so excited! A friend just gifted me this pattern through craftsy and after ive finished UFO january, i will finally be able to do this! I havent made a quilt for myself yet, so im quite excited
Amazing. I just finished this quilt but I put the stars right next to eachother. My second machine quilted quilt. You have given me confidence to try new things. Thanks.
Another excellent episode :) thank you for telling us you started quilting with stencils! I love making quilt tops. I mean, how do I love them? Let me count the stack... which is why my main quilters goal of 2018 is "practice your quilting skills and get some quilts finished!" I've collected some panels and have purchased one of your Craftsy classes. I'm feeling better about this as the weeks go on, especially since I know you'll be there if I need anything!
I do the same thing. Sometimes I am just taking my fabric out and look at it.... it is so pretty I always say I will use it in the next project.... I never do I loved this episode Thank you
What a wonderful idea for a video.... this quilt is similar to one i've done from "Jenny's" videos... so happy you have gotten into "scrappy" because it's my go to style... Mostly because i have over 40 years of fabrics to use up before i die!!LOL Working as fast as i can... Have not used a stencil but after this i will be thinking seriously about investing in one:)) Love you GF,,, between you and Jenny i will NEVER run out of inspiration! GB
What size are your small squares? I love your show. I am going to use this pattern for a quilt for my granddaughter. It's frustrating that you don't tell the size of the small squares.
Good Evening Angela, and thanks for the laughs! Thank you for the wonderful videos, I am working up to the quilting part of things and you have been amazing to watch. I am not sure if the "bonus" video on using a stencil has another home now but I would love to see it.
I have some charms screaming to be made into this quilt! LOVE IT! I have a 85 yr old quilter friend who has been widowed a long, long, long time. She always tells me that some fabric is better than sex! So fondle away! And keep the great videos coming!
My first time being in your channel I love it you are too funny thank you for being outgoing love your personality it’s all about having fun! Thank you for this tutorial I just subscribe to your channel looking forward to your tutorials and just have fun as I quilt!
Love your Charm Squares. Haven't used the Pounce. Thanks for your lesson. Have always used chalk pencils as I like that they are easily erased. Off to pet some fabric.
Hi Angela: I saw you use the little iron during another video, and very hesitant to buy one. I gave in and I love it! My big Oliso steam function gave out (it is 17+ years old). I have never been able to press as I piece right next to my sewing. I am a true believer that sometimes smaller IS better. Thanks Angela
Drat you, Angela! I told myself I already used up my fabric allowance for this month. But, oh well, can't let a good coupon go to waste, now can I? Have already ordered my new fabric, so Thank You! And Merry Christmas!
I love love love this quilt and the pattern! I have 6 charm packs of same line and I am ready to sew! Can I do in 9 days? We will see. Thank you Angela. You are so fun to watch!
My kind of girl with her glass of wine for inspiration... Love the quilt
I’ve been looking for the pattern! I already did 2 quilts 2018 but lost the pattern! Thank you!
I really appreciate it when you say, "..if it's not perfect, that's ok." Takes the pressure off and more often than not, it will be perfect because you weren't stressing about it. Thanks for the coupon!!
I absolutely love how witty you are and the humor you share. That is a beautiful quilt and I think I’ll be making it as well!!
Been a quilter for 2 months and am already fondling the fabric. So good to hear that it is not only just me. The real question is: What would the world be like if we didn't have fabric to fondle? Got a BIG smile on my face now!!!!

That is so awesome!!! I hope she loves quilting as much as you do!!
I made this quilt in a weekend. I love it....no joke...i got up at 6:30 am and started see g and piecing and cutting and by the time 10pm came around...my family had basically given up on getting any meals out of me lol..worth it!!!
May I ask how big the corner squares are?
I happen to have 5 charm packs and like 8 yards of white fabric to chop up lol
Thank you for the quilt and tips on the free motion quilting!
Quilters are a special breed of people. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Angela, i love your videos, your humor and taking complex quilts and making them do-able. Thank you!
Hey Angela, thanks for the plug on my stencil and Pounce Pad! The quilt turned out beautiful and the whole episode is just pure entertainment. Inspiring too, I'm going to pour me some magic quilting juice in a few minutes and get to it in my sewing studio.
Your show is always a highlight of my week, Angela.
Thanks so much for such a sweet compliment!!! I appreciate the suppprt!
Yay, a beginner quilt just for me! I'm putting that seam roller on my wish list. Awesome!! Thanks, Angela!
I love your sense of humor, Angela! Beautiful quilting!
I was trying to decide what quilt to make on my brand new Sweet 16, without a doubt - THIS IS IT! Thank you for making the choice so easy! :)
You are so fun to watch. Hard to tear away to quilt myself. Thanks for the info and the entertainment.

Love your show! My wish list includes a She Quilts, Sews and Drinks Wine Shack, your seam roller and the minature iron!
Angela you are so funny and so creative. I love your work and videos. I wish I could quilt like you but that is another wish.
"Better to be part of a star than not a star at all." You crack me up!
Yes! A simple quilt that I could finish during a few naptime quilting sessions. Woohoo! All the quilts you make are beautiful. I enjoy your fabric choices. So now when I watch my children pulling fabric off the shelves at the store, I’ll just assume they’re future quilt fondlers. ;) LOL!

I think this was the first episode of The Midnight Quilt Show that I saw and I had to have this kit! I made it to take to use at my quilting retreats!
You are hilarious Angela! 😂 love your work! I’m getting much better at free motion quilting thanks to you 💕
Love your videos but more than that, I love your fun sense of humour! You really do put the “ fun” into quilting🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🤗

Totally agree about touching your fabric!!
Great video lesson Angela. I'm so glad you showed the stencil and pounce pad. This is a great suggestion for me since I am not good at machine quilting. This will help me practice more. I just love your wit and humor. You are a hoot!
I lol-ed "You're a star! No really you are!" 😂
I'm so glad you get my sense of humor!!
Thanks Angela! I understand more about different blocks from watching your videos and you make it enjoyable. I have learned a lot and look forward to learning more. Thanks again.
I adore this pattern - so easy and quick to go together! And I've been looking for something for my charm packs!
I'm a fabric fondler, too! Love this pattern. And those colors are great.
I didn't fondle the fabric, but my second-ever-quilt-top is modeled after this! I used 8 different purple fabrics for my semi-scrappy quilt (I went a little nuts making sure no two matching blocks touched each other). Angela, you are an inspiration! :)

That's exactly what most quilters do!
You are wonderful. Love your instructions, directions and most of all your fun personality. You ‘get’ quilters. You really do. I look forward to trying this quilt. Thank as always for sharing.
I have loved walking in fabric stores and touching all the fabrics since I was a little kids learning to see.
I think that means you are a fabric fondler, lol!
Love your quilts and bright and funny attitude to quilting. Even though I have quilted many years I always learn something new from your videos. I am getting ready to retire and am looking forward to quilting with you along the way. Merry Christmas

Bit the bullet, took advantage of Craftsy coupon and purchased the fabric. Can't wait to make this!
In addition to "fondelling" I like to smell the fabric. Almost as good as the smell of crayons on the first day of school
This was a great video!! It got me inspired to make a quilt for my dad. Thank you for the inspiration and keep up the great work.
i loved that it was a more simple quilt design and that you included stenciling. Now I will try that one and then maybe at a later date will try a more complicated one. thank you

Hi Angela! Love your stenciling technique and your star block. I can't wait to try this block out using light blues, light pinks, and light yellows. I will be looking forward to your next video.
I like the idea of a fabric fondlers support group or a fabric hoarder support group haha!
Yes!!!!!!! Why didn't I think of that, lol
Katrina Roop I would be part of both 😂
Me too!
For some reason I just couldn't bring myself to cut my reproduction collection and then I decided to make my mom a quilt....no choice her but to volunteer a few peices of my collection....I am sure she will love it...a support group would be awesome.
Thank you for sharing that all your wonderful quilting started by using stencils! There may be hope for me yet!
Love these snippets to make me smile. The best topic to watch. Thank you!!
Another winner!! I have just started my quilts for Christmas. This is one. Thank you Angela.

Fabric fondling is a real thing. 😚👍
I have some charms screaming to be made into this quilt! LOVE IT! I have a 85 yr old quilter friend who has been widowed a long, long, long time. She always tells me that some fabric is better than sex! So fondle away! And keep the great videos coming!

I love you! You make me smile everytime!
