I was looking for a chevron pattern some what easy and different. I really like this one . I enjoy all of your videos. I love all of your free motion quilting I’m a beginner, trying to learn free motion. Your own, is a one of a kind. Even quilting your own is never the same , maybe similar . I’m glad there are younger generations, such as yourself are caring on something special. Only a crafter or quilter knows how much love and time there is homemade, beautiful memories in our personal work of design. You are special. Thank you again for the time you set aside for you tube fans like myself. Pamala Harmon, from DeKalb, Mississippi.
You continue to inspire - but it is nice to see a professional being true and showing those that are learning from you that we all have creative hick ups from time to time - this is so pretty - going to have to try it out - please keep up the amazing work!!!!
Love this purple prints fabrics you use and your idea with white is great... if I didn‘t have such an overflow in my stash I would buy them now I want to make this!!!! Please Keep Going Angela!!!
That is so cool...i am amazed at your quilting. Love the pace of your shows! I too fondle fabric, and just found out a few days ago, my grandmother, who died when i was 4, she liked to fondle fabric too! It’s in my DNA.
Hey Angela, I had lost my quilting MOJO right after Christmas as I had no-sewing over the holidays. But come January 2019 I joined a sewing group and this has helped get going again and we make Quilts to give to Children in Foster Care. So that was an extra motivation also. Think I may try this pattern for one. Thanks for the work you do. We here in Galway Ireland love to watch you.
What a fun pattern! I don't think I will ever be bold enough to use purple thread on white but because of you I have started some free motion quilting. I love that you're getting comfortable with purple and am enjoying these cool color pallets and your cute matching outfit and blue nails! So cute!
If only you knew how much this video helped me get my mojo back! You read my mind! The only thing that helps is... starting a project! Thankyou Angela you beautiful soul ❤️ you inspire me daily
@@Leellka I don't mind being frustrated. I find all emotions to be equally helpful during the creative process, personally. We all fall into ruts from time-to-time. I definitely take breaks, but tend to find myself thinking about sewing even when I'm doing something else I enjoy doing. It's my favorite hobby, for sure! Some of the best pieces of art are born from anger, frustration and sadness. :D
We went on a 3 week cruise to Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand and, yep, I found myself thinking about sewing! We were so busy, though, I only went into one fabric shop because it practically jumped in front of me. ("Yeah nah all good"...it's what they say down there.)
Lovin' it! Inspirational and will likely do a single panel as a table runner! So glad your creative juices are flowing. Watching your videos gets my quells my quilting angst ....gets my quilting motor revved. Thanks.
I love this pattern, particularly prints with the modern looking strips. I have a closet full of vintage prints from my mother in law. I can picture this looking at least somewhat modern even if done in 27 different hunter green prints with pink and peach flowers. Well Done!!!
Just love the way you designed the chevron pattern, minimal bias edges to deal with! Beautiful quilt and, of course the quilting is fantastic. Thank you.
You're honestly like bob ross for me. every time I'm like "oh good lord, what is angela doing now" but then I tell myself "just trust her" and the quilt is always gorgeous
I really like this pattern and I love how you quilted it, echoing the chevron shape in the negative space. I would never have thought of that. That’s my favorite part of your videos-watching how you quilt it.
I just got started quilted. My sister passed away in April 2018 and left me her Janome machine. I traded it in on a Janome E500(which I didn’t realize was only an embroidery machine)but, fortunately, I have a Brother 425 quilting machine. I bought your rulers from Etsy recently. I didn’t know I need to purchase another $30 to $45 MORE in order to use them! I’ve found that this is not an inexpensive craft! I love all your UA-cam shows. I’ve watched almost ALL of them! Thank you for helping me try something new. I’m also wondering if I’m the only person wondering if they are too stupid because they are having a hard time reading the instructions! Hehehe!
just finished the scrappy triangles pattern, and I'm loving this strip quilt pattern. On my to do list for sure! (right after I'm done with the machine quilting on my othe quilt tops...). Thank you for your easy to follow patterns and tutorials!
I'm gonna get blue print after Easter for my summer classes! Gonna learn all my feather classes from you! Goodness you make it look effortless and so beautiful. Hope some bunny puts a year class in my basket? Hint... 🐰
Holy cats, I’m all caught up‼️ 🎉🎉 Lol! Thanks, Angela, I love your videos and you’ve been such an inspiration! I FMQ’d my first project just this last week and I have two more on my table waiting to be done.
Glad you're back Lady A! I thought for a moment that you'd use contrasting white thread on those purple strips! Have you explored other modes of crafting? You had mentioned one time you might try something new.
This quilt could be tilted: "Which way did my mojo go?!" Looks like in chasing it down, you found it! Love it when it happens. The past year and a half, I could not do any sewing (or much of anything really), when I lost 50% of my arm movement due to "frozen shoulder syndrome". Very painful and I had to have help to get dressed and bath. I could not even put my hands on hips, let alone reach around to my back. I had no mojo and no way to find it. Thanks to some very hard work by my physical therapist, I now have nearly 90% usage back. Now we are working on strengthening exercises. These past few weeks, I had been working on a new quilt for my youngest granddaughter, when I hit the mojo mother load! I designed a beautiful quilt! Then I made it better, by turning it on point, with strong borders to outline the designs. Today when I went to therapy, I took both designs to show her. She liked the first one but really loved the on-point version. I told her, "I was so proud of myself, actually patted myself on the back twice! Because I can actually reach it now!" I also designed a quilt for my therapist and it's in the "quilting" stage. I was able to get all of your rulers and having fun learning to use them on this quilt. I can't believe how much easier it is to use the rulers than fmq. So thanks to you, I am now getting quilting mojo as well. I never had that before! Thank you for sharing and teaching the rest of us how to find our quilting mojo!
I'm beginner and trying my hand at strip piecing and I love this but the site is shutdown for the free pattern anyone knows where it can be found? Would really like to try it.
Wonderful quilt! And what a great stash buster. I've gotten in the habit of cutting alone of my scraps into 2.5 inch strips if I know I'll use them for this type of thing. Then they're just waiting for me! :-D
Hi Angela, I love your videos! I'm wondering how long it actually takes you to make all these wonderful quilts? Any chance you could share how long it took for this one, starting with cutting the fabric all the way to binding?
Help! I can't find the free pattern! Finally finished my All Roads quilt (well, almost!) and now this pattern is not online!! Can anyone tell me where to find it?? Please help!!
This design is so cute. I'm a beginner quilter, any tips for machine quilting a design with a walking foot? 😄 This inspires me because a single panel could make a lovely table runner. Love your channel Angela! You are quilting goals! ✂️📐📏🌈
