Now that I actually saw one first hand, I want to buy one that is: HXW size. Lever drag feature. RAPTOR for higher drag. 2 Speeds. MC for aided cast control. Which model number do I need to order?
@steechluva The MC cast isn't a thing to really prevent backlash but more for casting. Lets see you cast a 1" Pilchard with a regular Avet or different brand against my Avet SX MC, you'll see the deference

Had to pause the video and go to my bedroom to check out my reel. Bought it guessing 12 years ago to go to Baja. Yes its in my bedroom on the night stand in a camo fuzzy bag. PRO EX 4/02....If I remember right it has 80 braid topped with 65 pound mono. or maybe the other way around. Fished (1) day and weather came in. Went back this last May 2018. Used the guides equipment first day. Had a great day. Day 2 used my reel his rod. Just flipping out live sardines and my reel, bird nested. I am not a pro fisherman. what might I be doing wrong ? Could my line be bad only fishing once in 12 years ? Did catch large Amber Jack, before guide put me back on his gear. 3 days, 165#s of fillet, tuna, amber jack, red snapper, trigger fish, 1 pargo,1 sierra, and 1 grouper. Maybe this reel should not be cast . just let out the line. Any old videos for a really old guy.?
you call me stupid, brand new reel was like 475 at the time and this brand new used reel which i got for a great deal because the person that sold it to me didnt like right handed reesl, the reel was in top condition. Now you be smart about what you trying to say to others.

Depends on what you are fishing for. That reel combos up with either rod perfectly.

just got an Avet sx raptor for $325 on craiglists, beats paying almost $500 after tax, also i have a MXL mc too. sweet reels
The MXL would work just fine if you are using braid.
Either rod would work. If you are using more lead, then use the MH.

You've got a wide range of fish there. An MXL Raptor loaded with Max Cuatro would be the smallest I would go.
