DRIVING GLENCOE IN A MOTORHOME - SCOTLAND MOTORHOME TOUR (9) - beautiful INVERCOE Campsite

  • Hello guys,
We move on from Bunree Campsite to the wonderful Invercoe site, which, if it's possible, was even more beautiful than Bunree.
We wander into Glencoe village, break into a pub (which was open 😃), and watch some Red Deer relaxing before the Rain came in.
The next morning we drove up through Glencoe, a bit nerve wracking in places as bigger vehicles driving fast down the hill, took priority at narrow bridges!!
Hope you enjoy this one guys.
    Dave & Sue
MUSIC as always by our friend Serge Pavkin . Thank you Serge (and we found the bridge!)

I've started writing this comment 10 times already, trying to find the right words🙂 Dave, this is probably the best episode since I decided to create my channel. You found that bridge!!! I also remember you stopping to take a picture of Eilean Donan Castle after we talked about it. I really appreciate that. These are the moments you want to live for🙂 It seems like a small thing, but it's so important. Thank you. I was very touched❤ I also remembered that I rarely use the Glencoe piano that I bought earlier, I'll do the next track with it. The scenery was stunning. Very beautiful places and a nice campsite. Thank you Dave, Sue for that. I will be showing this video to my friends.

Thanks Serge. - just editing the next vid where Sue is filming and I say - ah this is Serge’s bridge! 😃.
We discovered on this trip that we love the remote and spectacular more than any other (although I think we knew that already). And just love being inspired by your beautiful, moving, poignant, happy and emotional, compositions to accompany these amazing places.
So thank you my friend and look forward to that Glencoe piano!
Stay safe and well please 🙏💙💛💙💛

Wonderful stop over in Glencoe! Scotland has the nicest RV parks and campgrounds! Wonderful to see the Stag and his friends in the field... beautiful mountains. Good thing you stopped for food - we like to have a few days food with us, especially when we are in rural areas, just makes things easier.
    What an amazing trip! 😃👍👍

      It’s been incredible Jen.
We avoided the honeypot locations mostly but Glencoe is normally a very busy place. But it wasn’t bad at all when we were there.
      So so beautiful though
We’ve been amazed at just how many campgrounds and RV parks there are across the UK. And we’ve learned we prefer the small sites in more remote locations, but this one in Glencoe was wonderful, friendly and relaxing.
Hope you guys are having a good week

That drive was incredible although we did nearly get taken out by an Artic flying down the hill!
I loved that piece of music. And I didn’t think it would fit but hopefully it did.
Serge from Ukraine was really pleased because we crossed the bridge that he used as a photo for one of his compositions.

Hi Cecilia - thanks for your lovely comment. Yes, isn’t Glencoe an amazing place and the road is so spectacular.
We had a wonderful three weeks in Scotland - travelled across to the Isle of Mull and then Ardnamurchan and then across to Glencoe via the Corran Ferry.
We loved every second of our trip, especially some of the more remote sites, and it was great travelling on all the ferries in the motorhome - we were a bit nervous about that beforehand but it was fine.
We just can’t wait to go back soon.
Thanks again and hope you enjoy watching the content on here

Had a few breakfasts at the Morisons in Fort William, usually just before we set off to climb Ben Nevis and I remember patches of snow on the summit in August, when I climbed it with my two sons in 1998 for the first time. What an amazing campsite, those views were stunning and nice to see that stag in the field next to you. Shame the Glencoe museum was closed but good to hear you managed to get some beer at the local shop. Shame the rain had to fall but nice that you retained those amazing views outside. Cheers Alan

Beautiful camp spot on the waterfront. Awesome views! Cool that you saw the stag. I wonder if these are somewhat domesticated being in the fenced field. It seems like the weather and rain keeps following you around. Sure is beautiful seeing the clouds in the area and on the mountain. Great trip. Have a nice day.

    • @NBNatureTrailvan
      @NBNatureTrailvan  2 місяці тому +1

We were fairly lucky with the weather in Scotland overall Steve - only a couple of really bad days.
The Red Deer in Scotland are not really like you see on the adverts - Monarch of the Glen and all that. We didn’t realise until a couple of years back that they are actually pests in some villages. They come and go across gardens and high walls and so most are just left alone. A lot of gardens have high deer fences to protect flowers and shrubs 😃

Happy Weekend Dave and Sue. I guess days like this makes you feel happy about the choice to buy Florrie and have the freedom to travel around and experience beautiful places. The landscape in this part of Scotland is amazing and in some ways it is similar to the west coast of Norway (except that the pubs here probably do not come with obstacle courses;) So you have a lot of natural beauty around you and the mountains make it very scenic and enjoyable! The road up the mountain pass is a bit tight, but I guess that made the experience even more spectacular:) Hope you are having a nice time today and without pubs that are difficult to get into:) All the best, Ant
