    This guy knows his small engines !! The heat on the screw driver is the ticket. I love that trick. Worked like a champ.

    Thank you ! Took me a whole three minutes to do. Worked great . Runs smooth and powerful again. I found an screwdriver from an eyeglass kit fit perfect

    Mine was doing that but I changed the fuel fuel filter and it worked great again. Appreciate your videos brother. You were a big big helping when I needed to adjust the carb on my ryobi 1838 chainsaw.

    Awesome. Thank you! I just bought one of these used and it's a little boggy sounding.

    This blower has two adjustments a high and low screw the other is a star drive down the center of the carburetor barrel

    So there is actually 2 set screws one is located where shown in video, and there is one on top of the throttle barrel I believe it’s high side and the one under the gas bulb shown here is low side if I’m not mistaken..

    I've got the same blower but mine has a brass fitting in that hole I watched a video of a guy that took a drill bit and got his out with a drill bit so I tried that and I drilled down the brass fitting as far as I could go and it still won't come out to get to the screw to adjust the dang on thing

      ummm never seen that. usually if you see brass ur looking at the screw. aftermarket carbs work well and no plug. i use hipa they are oem spec amzn.to/3CQOGQR

      @@smallengineguys some have a small brass sleeve that they pour the plastic into, it pulls out too with the plug, needle is below.

      @@brendangair2023 ahhhh rhb70. Yeah so I heat up a tiny flathead screwdriver red hot. Press it firmly into the plastic plug hold it very still till cool. I use a bit of break cleaner to speed up the cooling process. After cool turn and pull a little at a time till it pops out. It's a flathead underneath.

    Is the adjustment goal to set the screw so that it runs at highest RPM at WOT?

    • @smallengineguys
      @smallengineguys  6 місяців тому

      Hit highest come back just a touch to the point it doesnt bog from idle to full speed.

      @@smallengineguys Thanks. I didn't have a torch but I was able to heat up a jeweler's screwdriver with a candle and that worked for me although it took three or four attempts, each one moving the plastic out a tad until it finally come on out. Thank you so much for the video.

    I used a coarse drywall screw to remove the plug. I would imagine a fine threaded one would work too.
