    Hi guys I just wanted to Introduce to you my other Channel "Kirkman's Academy" - which i'm just getting started. It's a go-to channel for simple explanations for hard to grasp subjects such as physics, maths and chemistry etc. Here is the link: www.youtube.com/@kirkmansacademy/videos . Thank you so much for looking, and if these topics interest you then I hope to see you the there. Many thanks indeed. Craig 😊👍

    Your way of describing how these various carburetors work, made crystal clear by you diagrams and arrows to show the flow, then the animation of it all, allows anyone to understand what each part is, how it works for both understanding and troubleshooting. Thank you, Mr. Craig.

      @@TheRepairSpecialistThis is why I tell ALL my customer neighbors and ALL my mechanic friends they need to watch you! Your 2 stroke series has save me LOTS AND LOTS of headaches and frustration. There is one thing I haven't seen you show, which I'll nkt reveal just yet, but I haven't watched all of your videos. I am reasonably sure you entirely missed the hi flow adjustment screw on this style of carb
      This style of carb IS NOT
      A SINGLE ADJUSTMENT SCREW
      If you look at the top of the throttle barrel that the cable attaches to in the centre of that is a large brass collar/screw you can see the rubber tube in the centre of the brass screw 19:43
      Remove the rubber tube and there is a wee little adjustment screw hiding there to adjust that main jet needle
      On most verients at least
      hope this helps

    Great content. Ive got a 2 stroke Waxker Neuson BH55 Breaker and its smokey. Also sounds a bit gaspy when throttle is applied but does seem to run

    • @TheRepairSpecialist
      @TheRepairSpecialist  10 місяців тому

      Your Waxker Neuson BH55 Breaker may be experiencing problems with the fuel-air mixture, based on the symptoms you have mentioned. What you can do is as follows:
      Examine the air filter: A filthy or clogged filter can impede airflow to the engine, which can result in more smoke and a rich fuel-air mixture. Take off the air filter and look for any damage, dirt, or debris. If required, clean or replace the air filter.
      Examine the Fuel System: Look for any indications of contamination, leaks, or obstructions in the fuel tank, fuel filter, and fuel lines. Verify that there are no problems with fuel supply to the engine and that the fuel pump diaphragm is operating as intended.
      A problem with the carburetor adjustment may be indicated if the engine makes a "gaspy" noise when the throttle is applied. To guarantee the proper fuel-air mixture at all throttle positions, adjust the carburetor in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
      Spark Plug Inspection: Increased smoke and poor engine performance can also be caused by a fouled or damaged spark plug. Take off the spark plug and check it for wear, damage or fouling. If required, clean or replace the spark plug.
      Compression Test: To assess the engine's general condition, conduct a compression test. Low compression may be a sign of damaged or worn-out cylinders, which may be the cause of smoking and subpar performance.
      Professional Inspection: It's recommended to speak with a qualified mechanic or technician that specialises in small engines if you're not sure how to diagnose or resolve the problem on your own. They are able to perform a comprehensive examination and diagnosis in order to find and fix any underlying problems with your Waxker Neuson BH55 Breaker.
      I hope this helps a little
      Craig

    Absolutely brilliant! Question if you don't mind. My carburetor is very similar but has the adjustment screw down the middle of the throttle barrel? I assume turning this will alter how much the needle will engage into the jet? Very fiddly trying to adjust (if that is indeed how I adjust the fuel delivery on this setup!). Have you any experience of this type? Thanks. Andy

    • @madyottoyotto3055
      @madyottoyotto3055 Рік тому +1

      Yes you are correct see at 19:43 that his has a rubber tube blocking it
      This is the hi flow needle
      The low flow he shows in the video but calls it the fuel to air mixture
      The animation showed it had no way of limiting or adjusting the air flow
      So I would say it has to be the lo mixture screw and air is regulated by the idle limit screw he also explained
      So yes you are correct they do have a third mixture screw and it's the hi flow mixture screw they tried to hide a little too successfully for my liking
      Hope this helps

    Another idea for a video. I own a paramotor (a basic 2 stroke engine with a walbro wb37 carb) I rebuilt the carb but overlooked the fact that I put the carb back on without the inlet spacer. (This goes between the engine and the carb) I tuned the engine and all was fine. Until someone told me. So I replaced it but in order to get the engine running right again I had to make it rich by around 3/4 turn. (Quite a lot for just a spacer) I know it will change the atmospheration but I didn't think it would be that much different) would you be able to go into more detail on this and 2nd question is if it runs with less fuel without the spacer would I not be better off removing it and tuning it to use less fuel ?

      I am fairly sure it's a safety thing mate
      Heat barrier to stop fuel warming
      Another hint too this is the fact they tend to use plastics
      Also having it setup to use a little more fuel is tactical because it reduces engine wear and heat
      How do you go about setting the carbs to perform at it's best when the oxygen is reduced from the altitude
      May sound daft but do you set them up half way up a really good mountain or something I always wondered

    Is filling only half with gas no matter how many times I press it. Is the culprit that red check valve that's underneath the purge bulb or is the other check valve that's bad ?
    I would much appreciate if you could give me an answer.
