Super helpful. Mine, a PB580T would run but then bog down after 20 min. I grabbed a rebuild kit from Home Depot, installed it all (used the tent stake idea since I am a camper) and it now runs like a charm. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback. I try to be as honest and straight forward as possible. Please consider subscribing as we have other tool and power equipment reviews and how to videos as well.
I ordered a complete kit. Carburetor, all 3 hoses, one hose Is a vent hose. Spark plug. 3 purge bulbs. Filter. I'll receive it today, November 8th. Im going to use my original Genuine Walbro Carburetor and use the new parts to rebuild it. I already took the carburetor off and cleaned it. The butterfly was gummed up and didn't function it was sticking. It's functional now. I'm just replacing all the new gaskets and putting all the other new parts on. I plan on making a video today step by step. Great video
@GReviewz That's correct, young man. I purchased it for 30, and the complete rebuild kit was 20. So 50 isn't bad for a working Echo pb250 retail is 150/160
Good job! I especially liked that you showed us the problem before you started the troubleshooting part. My Echo PB-250/LN has a similar problem in that it starts easily, idles well, and then shuts off as I advance the throttle. After watching this video and one other, I now have the following candidates that cause the trouble: air filter, fuel filter, spark plug, clogged exhaust port, carburetor adjustment. I will fix each one in the order listed and let you know in another comment about my progress.
Thanks for watching. I also did see a lot of people having a clogged exhaust on these as well. Mine did not but if the tune up and carb adjustments don’t work it most likely is the exhaust. Dont just jump to the carb adjustment because if your spark plug is gummed up or your air filter is clogged doing a carb adjustment won’t fix that.
Worked on pb-620. Dropped air filter and spark in first. Continued to bog down. Gas filter fixed it. I had zero service done on this thing since 2008. This did the trick. Thx! HD had the kit.
Thanks for watching. Glad I could help. Yeah the fuel filter normally does it because you know fuel and oil run through it and it gets clogged after awhile!
you are incorrect about carb adjustment at end of your video. Certain gas and oil mixes will make this blower ( and other 2 stroke engines ) run different and the factory sets it to what they use. I bought mine new and out of box ran rough after warm up at full throttle. So first thing to do is adjust carb for idle speed and full throttle ( 2 different screws ) with the fuel and oil you will be using and do it after warming it up. This blower needs to run for a minute or two to run great i also repair small engines and i tell customers to NOT run them dry and store it as that causes carb issues. ALWAYS leave the tank full when storing as gas does not go bad for at least 2 years. Also for owners, You MUST RUN AT FULL SPEED when using as it is a 2 stroke and if not running full speed when using it will cause exhaust to clog with unburned oil and this goes for all 2 strokes including weed wackers, snow blowers etc as the biggest issues i ALWAYS see are clogged exhaust from home owners only going half throttle when using these small engines...
Yup, as home owner you are very correct. I never run full throttle on my trimmers. I have noticed the oil you mentioned around exhaust port. I found WD40 wipes it up real good. But, you do bring a point up about the muffler to me though. I wonder how much concern I should have over that? I don't like to run wide open where I live it is just to noisy and I also don't like debris kicking back at me with for speed and force either. As for leaf blower I probably will run that full speed.
Bought one of these today on Market place for $40. It was a little boggy at WOT. I pulled the plastic grub plug and adjusted the carb. it runs like new now!
Folks there's 2 adjusting screws.there set by the factory..ones for low idle other is for hight idle.i think the one to the right is high idle.start it up.let it warm up and pull the trigger an turn the high idle screw til it peaks an stop bogging done
The screws to adjust the carb essentially are to adjust the amount of fuel/air at idle and wot. The only reason you should ever have to adjust those screws if you have already changed all the filters and spark plug. If the dang fuel filter is clogged it will bog but then if you adjust carb based on a clogged fuel filter you are not actually helping anything..
Thanks for watching! Sure do. I put the link on the description. I’ve had a brand new one after first tank of premixed gas it hasn’t run at all , changed the carborator and had a professional attempt to fix still just a piece of junk sorry waste of $225

That is great sir. I don’t know what kind of fuel you use but ethanol free is the only thing I put in my small engines..

Thank you for this helpful video. I had the same problem and i replaced the fuel filter and now my blower works good 💪
I am glad I was able to help.

Thanks. Followed recommended procedures and it worked. Save $184 not having to buy a new blower.
Awesome! Thanks for watching. I am glad I was able to save you big $$

Pretty groovy...Thanks for your expertise..
Lol which part is goofy? I try to keep things light…
I think the spark plug is my problem , thanks to you I'm going to try that Sir
Thanks for watching. I am glad I could help. I got the whole kid so that’s why I replaced all three. The spark plug was my problem for sure..
Bought one of these today on Market place for $40. It was a little boggy at WOT. I pulled the plastic grub plug and adjusted the carb. it runs like new now!
That’s always an easy way to do it. These blowers are very reliable.

Carb still needs to be adjusted. It isn't peaking high throttle
Why didn't you adjust the air gap on the spark Plug?
I took my guage and it seemed to come pre gapped for my blower already…
Do you have link to that tune up kit?
Thanks for watching! Sure do. I put the link on the description. Great video thanks bro
Thanks for watching and the positive feedback!
Hi Why after i run the blower Smoke comes out front
It may be running too rich, wrong oil, piston rings are going? Could be a lot of things..
You did great
Thanks. I hope I was able to help..
Spark plug is not tight enough.
Thanks for watching. How many ft/lbs are you supposed to righted these plugs?
In 3 months it will be bogging..it still needs to be adjusting
lol I use that blower every weekend year around. It won’t bog anytime soon. I fixed the problem not doing a bandaid repair.
Buena informacion.
Gracias por ver
I’ve had a brand new one after first tank of premixed gas it hasn’t run at all , changed the carborator and had a professional attempt to fix still just a piece of junk sorry waste of $225
I’ve had nothing but good experiences with echo. Of I were you I’d take it back to the place you purchased it from and see what they can do.
Why didn't you adjust the air gap on the spark plug?
The spark plug ended up being the correct gap in the kit.
