I was screaming at the screen as soon as the guy said his airspeed was unreliable. You are right... it's not airworthy... but why in the heck would you go to a crazy crowded airspace ?????????? That is exactly why accidents happen... he obviously has... "Have to be there" -itis. THe bad thing is... he puts other people in danger too. Thanks for the vid.
If you know your aircraft it’s not a big deal. If you are in crowded airspace you shouldn’t be looking at it anyway. You fly attitude.
I hope you will allow some constructive criticism: You were well south east of the rail road tracks for your entire arrival. You were over the road SOUTH of the tracks from Ripon to Fisk. This is a common mistake. For those of you referencing the video to fly your own arrival, the tracks are finally joined in this video at 31:42, and can be seen at 25:37 to the left as a straight tree lined path. The notice calls for aircraft to remain directly over railroad tracks from Ripon to Fisk. This prevents side-by-side arrivals.

Just watched this for a second time, this time while tracking your position on FR24. Also this time while planning my own trip in my 9A this year for the first time. The exterior camera angle was great for familiarization to the visual cues and the same plane type helps with performance planning. I'll be sure to find you when I'm out there, if you're there of course. We've corresponded a little on VAF, I think we were the consecutive -9 first flights in August 2018.

It was fun to watch this. We know the area up around Ripon and Green Lake. You flew past Spring lake (21:00) Big Twin (21:30) and Little Twin lake (21:50) just off your left wing. Big Green is in the background. The obstacle warning was a 300 foot cell tower with a strobe that went up a couple years ago. You flew right over it (21:24) by watching where you were in relation to the intersection of the road its on. Most of the planes fly right over Big and little twin. We probably saw you go by.
Your RV-9 looked great at the show!
Nice video. Next time, it would be nice if you used a helmet cam for the 2nd view, so we can see your instrument read-out. Outside camera was perfect.

I’m around all week. Plane is back across from the vans tent for the rest of the show.
Avionics technician here. I notice interference from your Alternator in your audio connection. Next time you do a condition inspection you can put some stand offs for any audio wires that run alongside any power generation wires, to help with that. In addition, if you are using shielded wires for audio it should be grounded(edit) only on one side (the audio panel side). If you aren't using shielded wires using the standoffs is really the only way unless you want to run new wires.

You were supposed to turn base abeam the orange dot and land on the green dot. Instead, you turned base east of the orange dot and then landed on the orange dot.
Thanks for that, very useful. It never fails to amaze me how people can't maintain 1800ft and 90 kt, why eff it up for everybody else if you can't or won't follow the procedure? Also, why do some people request a different runway? Do what ATC tells you to do ffs, the airspace is filled with planes, ATC has the big picture, they're in charge, do what they say. Shut up or stay away.
Wonder why you don’t mention the ChemTrails in front of you ?
