- Roger Dubbert flies the approach to EAA Oshkosh AirVenture 2018 in the Zenith STOL CH 750 Super Duty sport utility kit aircraft, landing on the Yellow Dot on runway 36L. Check out the amazing UnPanel glass panel display system in the incredible new STOL CH 750 Super Duty, and see all the traffic approaching Oshkosh on the super bright UnPanel display!
Roger flew to Oshkosh from Zenith Aircraft Company in Mexico, Missouri.

Man, that controller is like an old time auctioneer - some real fast talking there!
Dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the new movies on Instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf for the last months =)
@Devon Quinn yup, been using instaflixxer for years myself =)
Amazing controller. The volume of traffic that they handle is simply amazing.
Great job Roger and Justin will remember his arrival in Oshkosh the rest of his life. Have a fantastic show and good luck you guys have a great product there.
Probably the most efficient seat-of-the-pants air traffic control on earth. I hope that I am on this approach one day, God willing.
There is no way you could have made that landing without chewing gum LOL......
Some day, hopefully, I'll get to attend. Awesome vid. Thanks.
LOL...I found myself scanning for traffic as I was watching this! Great video...someday I hope to take a flight in of these CH 750's. Been impressed with what I've seen so far.
I want to tell you both, good luck....we're all counting on you.
man i could not handle that much stress and confusion
That's uncanny, a screen you can actually see well in daylight!
The ATC during airventure really deserve a raise
I like that little panel
Nice job!
My friend and I are on the radio right at 27 seconds in this video. We were headed into KDLL!
Way to go Roger!
That death grip tho!
WOW, cant believe the guy that was doing the air trafffic control..... bloody awesome effort
Completely crazy!
Both Zenith landings where caught on video in the Early Oshkosh Arrivals Saturday Part 3 starting at 00:42. Both looking good
I rememebr hearing those 2 cessnas go around haha
Good catch. got to see this from both angles
I'd love to fly my STOL 750 there some day but that looks a bit too intense for me! A lot of fun though.
It is such a wonderful rush everytime arriving @ KOSH
Awesome instrument panel. I suppose there's no other way to get that many planes down so quickly, but man the approach just seems like such a mess.
Ha I was watching a video yesterday of all the traffic coming in and the video ended with the Controller telling all aircraft on whatever runway to get off. And this video is sort of a continuation of it.
keep it simple, keep it light...
W O W!
Didn't know it had a Y-stick like the Kramme & Zeuthens.
"Pushing Tin" at Oshkosh. :)
that was intense...
No throttle for the right seat?
Why do I like slow uncontrolled airports? This. Busier than O'hare in Winter when half the country is trying to cram in there!
How do you keep rain off the windscreen
Right behind the prop - it gets pushed away in a hurry
Rodger ....Roger..LOL
He likes charts!
That RV cutting in front when on short final....BAD pilot!
Seemed like he was following directions and the NOTAM. How many times have you flown into Oshkosh during Airventure?
Yeah I flew in this year that’s him following NOTAM and doing what he is told
Yup, this guy was way south of the NOTAM procedure. RV was where he was supposed to be. Copilot tried to correct him, but fell on deaf ears. Airventure requires tight patterns. Practice, and follow the NOTAM!
it is just as easy to hold 1800 as it is ti hold 1700
Not when the ceiling is 1800
pilots should know that if aircraft are overtaking you, they will be overtaking you on your right side.. kinda important thing to know especially flying into oshkosh
As a guy cuts him off from the left 500yards from the runway...
i was referring to over the tracks, controllers break ppl out to hold all the time and they hold with left turns
Love the attitude of the pilot of the the plane featured in this video (CH750SD) but he was way too far South and was not following the NOTAM once he turned toward the airport on the East West road. The NOTAM states to stay directly over the East West road and do not go South of the microwave tower. The CH750SD was well South of the East West road and the passenger even mentioned it at 18:39. The red and white RV was over the East West road as per the NOTAM. @ 22:36 the red and white RV was told by the controller to turn final for 36L and was even identified by a wing rock. The controller turned the RV in front of the CH750SD. The CH750SD did not cross the East West road until 22:55 proving how far South he was. The East West road is almost 1 mile from the approach end of the runway. These types of operations are very common at Osh, this pilot appears to have known that and was ready for it. It is normal for the controllers to turn a faster airplane inside of a slower one on final. The pilot of the CH750SD did a great job keeping calm and letting the controller know he was not happy with the spacing and the controller fixed it by asking the RV to step over to 36R. While it all worked out fine, if the CH750SD pilot was following the NOTAM all the way to the runway, what appeared to to be a plane cutting him off would have never happened.
What about maintaining 90 kts and flying single file (following the plane in front)?
You don't follow people not following the NOTAM.
Red rv was cleared to land #3
The RV was #3 the CH750SD on this video was #4. This video proves it. ua-cam.com/video/n_1M9_7ZXMo/v-deo.html At the time the RV was cleared, there was a V tail BO over the numbers, another different CH750 on short final and then the RV.
Controllers are Real Pro...I hope Some pick up there dinner tab for the week..
Wild Ass Ride Along...
I'll Stick With RCs... LOL...
Flew in once for the show and never again, to many rookies that cant hold speed or altitude, very scary
No back up , to your big fltscreen, panel
There could be something overhead, but still, for VFR, you don't need backup.
The horizon is a good backup.
lol the horizon and daylight is all you need
Ya it's called a smart phone.
No thank you. I would have shown up a day or two earlier.
Joel We arrived two days prior to the start of the fly-in.
Damn plane is shaking like a wet dog. No thanks, I don't need to fly that bad.
fishfuxors uh, maybe it's the camera doing the shaking
What a pile of crap aircraft, looks like someone built it in the bush with bits they found. garbage.
How many aircraft have *you* built?
