I quite agree with your review. I just love the fact you can get a big screen sat nav at an amazing price. It worked very well across Spain. We use it in conjunction with Waze, which has all the latest traffic issues on. 😊

just bought mine, comes tomorrow, going back to trucking after 7 years off looking after my elderly parents, so needed a sat nav to just put me on till i could afford the tom-tom professional, so choose this before i saw your review too...

Looks a good bit of kit. Tom Toms free updates for life are good but you have to pay for speed cameras Etc, if you don’t pay for them they’ve already been deleted. This I hope is miles better.. excuse the pun xx

When i was driving trucks the first gps nav we had to put cd disc's into it one for each country we went to.
Each disc was about £80. Now you buy this for price of one them disc's.
They are a bargain. Worth every penny.
Is turning off the speed camera facility enough to meet the French Laws ?

@@mcgowansontour had emailed response to day, saying they should have contacted me regarding sending a different type. But have offered me the lead free of charge, even though I should have been given it anyway. But I see how this compares to Garmin and Tom Tom go camper, just curious for the lower value.
I think what they have said is that it is the same but you have a clip on the back, instead of your one built in to it.
But you never no all made in the same place, probably as the higher brands

Sorry to disagree, but TMC isn't live traffic, it's an old system based on FM radio
TomTom Garmin & even Google have still not yet updated for the 20mph roads in Wales! Also, as we have an older van, we need notification of emission zone areas. Seems to me that none of them are on the ball.
