thanks for the google earth tip, for any type of delivery it is essential. Even normal van deliveries it can help show where service entries are or where to park for those annoying places in pedestrianised zones. you made my life easier. Thanks
I’ve come back to driving after 18month off and can’t find my bloody sat nav, it’s been put somewhere “safe” 🙄. I am currently using the Tom Tom go app for hgv until I find it, it’s £80 for the year or £20 something for the month and I find it works well as a temporary measure on your phone if you’re saving up for or trying to find a proper hgv sat nav 👍
Hi really good information only thing is if u buy the tomtom truck satnav should it not be telling if there are low Bridges because u pout the height information in to the tomtom before u set off so it no the best way to take u to avoid low bridges and other restrictions for the Hgv is u said it will take u down some roads that are not really Hgv friendly but I thought it would take care off low bridges for the height u set in the satnav Thanks
i know what you are talking about using google maps alongside the satnav, i been in a pickle a few times relying only on the tomtom lol.... great vid mate
@TruckerWillHiab truckers use to know the roads, part of what made them truckers, know where to go without guidance. I'm not rippin just observing how times have changed
Thanks for another good informative video again lucky for me I use 2 of the 3, I'll take a look at intruck now. Next thing is to find a class 1 job hopefully not too long.
My truck Tom Tom let me down for the last time I discovered that if by accident you drive over your bag with your TomTom in with a 18 ton lorry the TomTom screen cracks badly to the point you cant see the screen anymore that's just one of two moans about the TomTom the other is trying to set up a Bluetooth connection with a Android phone is so so hard oy had it ever connect once for TomTom live very annoying!
Yes, I had this problem with the bluetooth keep disconnecting, as stated in the video just turn your hotspot on and connect the tomtom to it via the WiFi and it'll give you live updates via that instead.
Really informative. Thanks for sharing.
On the Garmin Dezl a Google earth picture pops up when you're nearly at your destination.

Great video Billy very informative. Some of those apps would be good
Thanks mate for your help
Thanks mate, absolutely helpful
Surely you can input your vehicle dimensions into the settings in your satnav,so it would configure a suitable route that avoided the restrictions.
You can
This is great information, just about to start out so this was very helpful. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

But what is the model of your Satnav? Tomtom Go Professional or Expert?
Expert 👍
I also use what3words
Are you a class one driver 🤔 I'd never of known 🤦 Jesus Christ talk about self entitlement 🤣
In the good old days truckers used a map instead of sat navs
They also used to rope and sheet but times have moved on from then and we now use the technology that's available to us.

And them go expert even connected to my phone are crap
@truth3358 really? What issue you having? Been using a truck tomtom of various models for the past 7 years without issue
